Transfer iPad photos to Mac?

I went through the failure of two hard drives, on which I put my iPhoto Library. I saved some of the pictures, but I still have the full library on the iPad and iPhone. I can Beam the photos to other iOS devices, but how can I get the full library from my iOS devices to my Mac? I'm afraid to attach my iTunes/iPhoto to the Mac because I'm afraid the computer will erase things and not transfer the extra hundreds of photos to my Mac's iPhoto Library.

To keep iTunes from erasing synced photos on your iPad, set the option  “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.”
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences.
Click Devices.
Select “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.”
Only then connect your iPad to import photos to iPhoto.
But there is one big problem -  if the photos you are now having only on your iPad have been synced from your Mac, you cannot transfer them back the same way. Syncing from your iPhoto library to handheld devices is only one-way. Only photos in the Camera roll can be imported to iPhoto, when you connect the iPad via USB.
You will have to save the synced photos to the Camera Roll, before you can download them.
Send photos to iPhoto or Aperture on your computer
Tap a photo, album, or event and tap > Camera Roll.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to import:
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap up to 100 photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
Tap Done.
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Open iPhoto or Aperture, and import your photos from the Camera Roll on your device.
if you have iPhoto on your iPad you can transfer directly using iTunes as described here:
http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/?handbuch#blnkee26bc1f
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.

A FAT32 drive can't store files which are 4GB or larger. You need to reformat or repartition the drive to include an exFAT, NTFS, or Mac OS Extended volume, or use a different drive, or use a way other than an external drive to transfer it.

  • How to transfer iPad photo album to mac

I had my old imac photo albums sync. to my ipad. Right now, my imac is crashed.  Has it any solution to trasnfer those ipad photo albums  to another mac?

You can not transfer albums - you  can only transfer the photos to the Mac and then use them there
You either use PhotoStream, an iTunes sync or connect the IOS device with a cable and import to iPhoto on the Mac

  • Transfer ipad photos to iphoto

My friend took 900+ pictures with his camera and transferred them to my iPad using his MacBook Pro.
I am trying to transfer these pictures to my own iMac but iPhoto does not detect them.
How can I transfer these pictures?

If he synced them to your iPad from his MacBook, which he more than likely did, you cannot transfer them into iPhoto by connecting your iPad to your Mac. Synced photos will not transfer to your computer that way. If you had taken the photos yourself and they were in your camera roll that would work, but he imported them into his Mac and then synced them to your iPad.
He can either provide the photos to you on a Flash drive and you can copy them into iPhoto on your Mac, or you can use a third party app to transfer the photos to your Mac.
Here is one WiFi photo transfer apps. You can search for more in the App Store.

  • How to upload iPad photos to Mac Desk top

I have a number of photos located in iPad photo album and need to transfer them to my Mac Desk Top OS X 10.7, can this be done in lieu of sending  photos via email?      Walt

For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from email/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 (iPhoto or Aperture should detect them)
If you want to copy back photos that were originally synced from a computer then you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

How can I transfer mini ipad photo to my flash drive and I brought lightning connection kit but it seem not work. My photo is almost full and don't want to lose it. Can anyone help me PLEASE

Move your excess photos to a cloud service like Dropbox or save them on a computer (which can put them on a flash drive).
You won't be able to do this on the iPad.

  • How do I transfer iPad photos to eBay listing?

I am unable to transfer photos from my iPad onto eBay or Craigslist. Hitting copy and paste does not seem to work. Thanks

You need to use the eBay app for iPad.  Do that, and the app will walk you through the process.  It's as simple as tapping and selecting from Camera Roll or taking a new pic.  Just go through the process in the app.

If there are any apps, they may not work on your iOS 3.1.3, which you should update to iOS 5.1

You could email it to yourself or if you are talking about lots of photos:
You can directly transfer photos and videos via WiFi between the iDevices, PCs, and Macs with an App like Photo Transfer.

    To transfer your photos:
Transfer and erase the Camera Roll:
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch Image Capture, iPhoto, or Aperture.
Select your iPad in the Devices list and click "Import all".
When the import finishes, you can erase the contents of the Camera Roll, if you want. That would be the quickest way, but deleting it on the iPad in the Photos.app would be safer, but more work.
Delete photos and video clips you synced to your computer using iTunes: Connect your device to your computer and, in iTunes, deselect the photos and video clips you want to remove from your device. Click Apply, and click Sync.
    Delete the Photo Stream contents:
How do I delete photos from My Photo Stream?
You can delete photos from your photo stream the same way you delete other photos from your iOS device or Mac. Just select the photos you want to remove, and tap the trash can icon or click Delete. On your PC, select the photos you want to remove from your photo stream, right-click, and then select delete. When you delete a photo from Photo Stream on one device, iCloud will automatically delete it from the Photo Stream album or view on your other devices. Learn more about deleting photos.
