How do I transfer/copy photos from my Iphoto albums to my Iphone ?

What I did was, first transferred all pictures on my Ipohne into Iphoto, then deleted all pics on Iphone. Created an album in Iphoto and populated it with pictures I wanted to transfer to my Iphone. Checked off the album to sync to Iphone, hit apply, then sync, and it showd that the photos were being transferred, but they do not show up on the Iphone.

Hello. I'd like to transfer photos from my iPhone to my Mac. I read (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083) that iPhoto is the standard application for that; I'd like to do without. I read that image capture (http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/8954/copy-photos-off-iphone-without-iph oto) or even Preview (http://osxdaily.com/2010/07/10/transfer-photos-from-iphone-to-computer/) could help. Neither of them see my iPhone although cable connected and iTunes does. So my question is two: If Preview and Image Capture are ineed supposed to, why don't they? And is there any other way?

I dont like iphoto so the easiest way to do it is using image capture, just plug in your iphone launch image capture from your applications folder and import all images or just selected images into any folder you want.

i have problem sync all my photos from iPhoto to iPhone 4, iPhone is 4.2.1, iTune is 10.2.2., iPhoto'09 8.1.2
Do i need to upgrade to iPhone 4.3.3 or iPhoto '11 for solving this issue? But it doesn't make sense. Please help!

I don't know if you solved this already or what, but I had a similar problem with my iPhone4 - no joy recognizing the photo folder in iPhoto or anywhere else, but no problems with iTunes. Same problem in both Windows and OSX. I gave up trying to get iPhoto, photo capture to work and went looking on the AppStore for an alternative.

this solved all my problems immediately. Ridiculously annoying that the default application doesn't work anymore and that Apple have made it sooo difficult to get to our data, and doubly annoying that the Photo Transfer app isn't free - but it seriously works like a charm.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Are you attempting to do this with iTunes? What you ask is a job for iPhoto. Did you try to import the photos to iPhoto?

did you change the screen resolution lately? Try to switch to a higher resolution, the photo pane is the last tab in the row on the right hand side.

I had my iPhoto library and Time Machine Backup on an external drive on my Mac Mini - not a clever strategy I know! I recently synced my photo library successfully with my iPhone 5 but now the external drive has died and my most recent backup (on another external drive) is 5 months old. Can anyone advise what is the simplest/quickest method of transferring these photos back from my iPhone photo library whilst ideally maintaining the 'events' folder type structure? Preview doesn't do it as this only allows me to copy photos taken with the iPHone, not the ones in the library.

Step by step toturial on How to transfer photos from iphone to Mac:
1.Connect the device to your computer. iPhoto should automatically launch into its import window with your device's images and videos listed.
2.Click Import All. If you want only some of your images imported, select the images and videos you would like to import into iPhoto, then click the Import Selected button.
3.When the photos finish importing, you will be presented with a dialog asking whether you'd like to delete the original photos from your Camera Roll. Click Delete Photos.

Cant find place to transfer pictures on iphone

when i open itunes with iphone there is not any tab for pictures. with device ( iphone) on taps accross top read Summary, info, applications, ringtones, music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, itunesU but no photos when i attach my itouch i get a tab with photos ?????

With a Mac (don't know what you use) I have to open iPhoto to transfer images from iPhone to computer.

Connect the iPhone to your Mac and launch iPhoto. It will detect the photos and indicate those that are not already in the library so you can import them.
Be careful in letting iPhoto delete the photos from the iPhone. It's best to delete them manually from the iPhone so you have more control over what gets deleted.
Once you have your iPhone and iPhoto setup with Photo Stream to automatically import all new photos taken with your iPhone it'll be a seamless transfer:
