Hello, TinaBj, in order to give you a professional answers, I specially checked your camcorder's technique specs, only few answers I can get, one possible way list on http://www.modconverter.net, which give a brief answer that your camcorder recorded videos as .mod. If so, you can try iMovie to convert .mod to .mp4 or .m4v first, Then use iTunes to sync your video clips to iPhone 6. Hope it works.

Thanks for your reply . I've removed the cover when doing both tests I mentioned. The earphone I used is at good condition and I don't see any problem with it. I've also reinstalled the iOS as your instruction, but still no luck, the video sound still has noise.
I've decided to export the video file to my PC to see if I can hear sound better or not, as it's hard to hear and sound except noise with the external speaker on my iPhone even at maximum volume. On my PC I had to increased playback volume to 100%, set volume booster to 300% and applied noise reduction plugin (I use Media Player Classic on Windows 7) to get an acceptable sound (still noise but better than the original). If I don't boost the volume, it's hard to hear anything. I don't expect it to be crystal clear like the voice memo (using the bottom mic), but too much noise like this is really bad.
So I think it appears to be a hardware-related problem. I will later consider to send it to a phone repair shop or keep it and accept this bad video sound problem . In Vietnam we just have Apple authorized resellers but don't have any official Apple repair shops, that's why I'm still confused as I don't really trust those phone repair shops to handle my iPhone. Anyway, thanks again for your comment .
P.S: it maybe a little off-topic, but do you know any video recording app that using the bottom mic ?

Since I have downloaded ios7 to my iphone 4s I am no longer getting any sounds when recording videos. When looking back at past videos I have recorded, they still have sound in the playback. I have tried resetting my phone and reseting it to factory settings. Any recommendations?

Recording videos on Iphone 5 but no sound in playback

When I record videos on my Iphone and watch them in playback all i hear is a buzzing sound?! I've resetted my settings and restored... it still doesn't work and my phone is 1 week neww....

Oh my I can totally out do your stupidness :-). I spent over an hour on the Internet googling it! I powered off/on, hard restart, reset the settings. Still no audio. Because it was less than 30 days since I bought it my phone i called my carrier and they said to just bring it in and they switched it out for a new phone. I get home, put my screen protectors on once again, sync it and get everything all set up. Tried a video and same thing! Spent a good five minutes flipping it over and then I noticed that little black hole between the camera and flash... and figured it out! I am, however, happy that I was actually able to help someone else out for the first time!

Recorded Video Playback - iPhone

Hi All - I'm having some issues with the playback of videos recorded with my iPhone 3GS. It seems to all be related to the 'layout' during playback. Videos recorded in portrait are being played back in landscape (in everything other than Quicktime), and what was once north and south is now east and west.
What can I do to these files so that when played in any media player they are played in the correct format? Or do I need to convert the .mov file into a more flexible file type?
I also hoped to use some of my iPhone video in a compilation video i'm making of my son. All of those are .avi files, and I'm guessing when I go to incorporate these .mov files that I'm going to have this playback layout issue.

Record video on iphone with display off?

I want to record video of an upcoming classical concert, but I don't want to distract the audience around me with a glowing display (regardless of if the brightness is all the way down)-- Is there a way to capture video with the phone "off" ?

You can't as you have noticed there is no option on the camera roll.
I hope there is an update soon to allow this feature as airplay has good potential.
It would be so convenient to record video on the iPhone and then via AirPlay stream to Apple Tv on the big screen.

I like taking video with my Canon HF M56 to freeze the sweet memory wherever I go. Recently I tried to transfer some videos from the camcorder's memory to my new ipad air through my mac mini, I always failed with the error "video format incompatibility". YOu can use some free converters to help you.: Handbrake, MPEG Streamclip, ffMPEG.
Or even you can use VLC player! I find this player can play your mts files wihtout any rewarpping and you can convert your files into MP4 if you want. Awesome , right?
But to tell you the truth , if you want to keep the high definition of your videos, that may be a little difficult by those free apps. So I am considering update my free mts/m2ts converter from pav to the full one.

Has anyone experienced no sound when recording video on iPhone 4/4s?

THIS IS ACTUALLY A SOLUTION. My wife has an (ancient) iPhone 4. Yesterday she downloaded latest iOS her phone will accept -- 7.x. All of a sudden she had no audio on her video recordings nor with Facetime (she could hear the other end, but they couldn't hear her). Scoured the net and saw many "solutions" -- shut down and reboot; clean small mic next to headphone jack with a needle; etc. Nothing worked. And then I came across an obscure post from 2010. Here's what fixed the problem: (1) While completely covering (as in letting in no sound) the above-mentioned tiny mic next to headphone jack on top with your finger, make a video recording; then (2) While completely covering the mic on bottom to the left of USB port with your finger, make a video recording. Now try to make a video as normal. For me, bam...problem solved. Maybe making the two recordings while covering the mics somehow recalibrated the system? Who knows. Hope this helps.

I was really bummed when this happened to me. I've only had my iphone for a month. I JUST figured out what was wrong. Apparently the video sound is a separate function from the iphone's volume. So, all I did was play a video and while it was playing, turned the volume up using the plus button on the side of the phone. If you do this when you're not playing a video it will only affect the iphone's volume and not the video's. Hope this helps!

Recording Video with iPhone 4S and Final Cut Express

I make drum covers using Pro Tools for audio recording, and FCE for video editing. I have 2 sony handy cams for different angles/views, and recently purchased an iPhone 4S. I typically import the videos into FCE and cut out the camera's audio and import Pro Tools audio. I figured I could use another angle with the iPhone. When I imported all 3 clips (sony, sony, iphone) into FCE, the iphone clip plays in FCE, but has an orange line in the timeline section, and plays really choppy. I tried rendering the video for real-time editing, and that didn't seem to work. The biggest issue, is that the video from the iPhone will not sync correctly with the music, but my other cameras do just fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In MPEG Streamclip, you must make the proper audio settings as well as video settings. Normally, FCE Sequences require uncompressed AIFF (PCM) audio at 48khz, 16 bit. Which audio settings did you use?

Recorded videos on iPhone 6 not playing!!

I recorded a couple of videos on my new iPhone 6 from a concert, each around 6:00 minutes long. When I tried playing them back they just didn't work.
The thumbnail version as well as the actual screen on all the videos are plain white and when you select the video to play it a message pops up saying,"Cannot be opened"....what the ****?
I tried transferring the video files to my Mac and opening it there, no luck as well...Quick Time player displays the same message saying,"this file cannot be opened". I have tried using VLC media player as well but it just doesn't open. The file size is being displayed and its taking up space but its not opening, only a white screen is being displayed. This has never happened before and its bloody annoying.
Any help/suggestions on how to get the videos back will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.
