Transfer limit

I am writing regarding license transfers. Some time ago I purchased Adobe master collection cs3 second hand, and the license was transfered to me. I later sold this. A couple of years ago, I again purchased master collection cs3 but I'm now considering selling it. I understand there is a limit to 4 license transfers. I would like to know if that is four transfers to me, from me or in total. If I transfer this to another user, will I then be able to do another transfer or will I have reached my limit?

Thanks Mylenium, and apologies for how formal my original message was - I was trying to message Adobe support from my phone browser but couldn't get to an email form - ended up writing that about three times on the chat window but as it didn't work, I ended up pasting it into the forum.
Sadly I've pretty much given up now and put Master Collection on eBay. I love the Adobe software but I'm only a hobbyist. Since Adobe went subscription only, my choice of second hand upgrades (perpetual licenses) are non-existant and, as a home user, even with a discount I can't justify creative cloud membership if I don't get to keep the software at the end.
I'm going to hope that you're right and I'll be able to do another transfer in if a second hand Premiere/Production/Master CS5-CS6 shows up. If not I guess my Adobe days are up.

Files transfer limit

Hello,
I've been trying to send files to a friend for a couple of days now, but I always get the "File Transfer Limit" error. I can't cancel any of the transfers I've made and since the removal of the "Files sent and received" menu, I can't possibly find a way to resolve this from my end. We're guessing the problem is she has Skype running on multiple devices, but it's stupid I can't resolve the issue from my side.

iCloud is not the way to do this. You should use Migration Assistant - with this you can transfer your complete User folder from the old Mac including preferences and logins. You will need to connect the two with FireWire or USB depending on the models.
Ideally you should do this before you set up the new Mac - if you create a user account with the same name than the Migration will have to give the migrated user folder a different name. When you first switch on the new Mac it should ask you if you want to transfer your data, and give you instructions.

ITunes - iPod data transfer limit?

This afternoon I tried to put about 2,500+ images onto my iPod Touch and iTunes converted them but during the transfer got to about 67% and failed. I tried again with 1,000 images and the transfer was fine. Usually I only move about 1,000 images at a time, but wanted to try a larger number.
Is there a known limit to how much information iTunes can handle in the transfer? Is it a limit on the number of files, or the amount of data, or is there no such limit and this was just a fluke?

i've heard of no such limit- and a search of apple's site produces no results.
just wondering...
once it reaches a certain amount full, does it stop at the same place everytime? like, if it will only fill to 5.6gb but not another byte after that? if so, it could be memory corruption.
you could always do a restore, see if it can work out the bug by itself, but there might be nothing you can do if it is the flash memory itself

I have the following questions and suggestions:
1. Unable to verify phone numbers:
I am trying to signup for azure subscription which comes as a benefit out of my BizSpark subscription. But I can't use the phone numbers which I have already used to signup for azure subscription. I have contacted the Azure customer support team, they said
they can't whitelist my mobile numbers instead they can bypass the mobile verification if i provide them the Live id which I am going to use to signup for Azure subscription. Why this is so difficult whereas i have to create azure subscription for my members
for which i will be using my mobile numbers for phone verification.
Please do whitelist my mobile numbers so that i can signup for azure subscription without any hassle.
2. When creating a Virtual Machine it's better to have a total price based on the VM configuration (CPU Cores, Memory, Region etc.,) Because Azure pricing is still confusing and expensive. This will help the users to use the Azure within the limit of the
free credit.
3. Unfortunately the "Data Transfer Out (GB)" is not free which is really annoying and causing users to ignore the usage of the azure VMs inside their credit limit. I have the following suggestions:
Data Transfer out (GB) should have a maximum free limit of 5-10TB per month or according to the data usage every month. This will make the users to use the Azure VMs.
It would be nice if "Standard IO - Page Blob/Disk (GB) & Standard IO - Block Blob (GB)" offered for free.
Azure subscription comes as a benefit for MSDN subscribers where they pay thousands of dollars so they should get something for the money they have paid already for the MSDN subscription.
The concept of the Free trial Azure subscription should be changed, it has to be completely free. Not every students/developers have the credit card to add for security and verification purpose.
As i already stated above if the Azure subscription has a certain limits on Data Transfer (Upload) and Page Blob / Block. The user will not be able to over use the Azure service.

Hit 5 Transfer Limit for purchased music.Multiple drive failures. Wht Now?

I've had multiple drive failures on my G=4 and I've reached
the last allowable transfer of purchased music from my
Ipod back to the new drive.
****.... Why doesn't it just recognize the computer otherwise
so that my re=loads aren't used up. Only 5 are allowed.
So now....What happens if and when this drive fails? Do I then
lose all future use of that very expensive, purchased music?
Makes me want to NEVER download from the Itunes store again,\

What can I do?

There is no limit on "transfer of purchased music from my Ipod back to the new drive." You can store the iTunes Store purchased music as many times as your want on as many different hard drives, and play them all, as long as the computer doing the playing is authorized with your iTunes account (the one used to purchase the songs)
There is a "five" limit, and it is based on machine. You can play music purchased with a specific iTunes Store account on up to FIVE different computers at any given time. Each one is registered with the account, and when you reach five, you cannot add any more. The machine itself is identified (by something on the motherboard) so a new hard drive should not make the machine a "new" machine. So not sure what's happening if all you did was replace the hard drive...
In any event, you can clear your iTunes Store account of all authorized machines and get a fresh start. Here's how (see section +To deauthorize all computers associated with your account+ in the linked article).

Log and Transfer limit?

I dropped about 8 SD cards onto log and transfer. All shot with the HMC150.
Well I counted the clips and at least 50 out of the 720 did not export.
Is there a clip limit to what it can handle. I would hate to have to go card by card. Thats why I stopped using toast. It was odd to it picked random clips to not export....

OK, people. Got a freaking work-around.
Select the clip in the log and transfer window *), then define your IN and OUT points for this clip, THEN hit "Add to Queue". Marked portion of the clip will import nicely. Now we just need full 1980x1020 support. Hopefully an updated FCE soon?
*) Interface of the Log and Transfer window is as beautiful as any Mac app. Why hasn't that interface lift ever made it to the rest of Final Cut? Hopefully, next version.

How to reset site after data transfer limit is exceeded

hi everyone
i wonder if you can help me, i exceeded my data tranfer limit on the 9th of the month, as i published a new site many people viewed it and the limit was exceeded quickly. now it is the 16th and the site is still unavailable. why is this? can anybody help me sort this out? its just a few photos and one small video. its rather frustrating,

Determining Data transfer rate through modem in java

Hi,
I want to write an application in java which will communicate with
connected modem of the system and it will detect the data transfer rate.
I want to know how much data is transferring(upload/download)through modem and in a specific time how much data is transferred.
I will give some max upload/downloading limit for a specific time and if data transfer exceeds that limit,it will show message.
e.g if i fix max upload/download data transfer limit by the modem is say 10GB/20GB for a specific time span say for 15 days.Then my program automatically will start when the Modem will be connected and keep a log of data transfer(upload/download)and if data transfer goes beyond limit then it will show message.Also i would be able to see how much data is transferred for any specific day.
I want to know this type of application is possible in java.If yes then
which API's i need to use.
If this type of program is available in some site in other language then also i will be helpful.Pl give the links.

HT1689 How do I disable the 50mb data limit on 3g?

I have paid for an unlimited data plan and can not use it. Every time I try to download something I get a message saying item over 50mb conect to wifi or pc.
If I had known about this I would never have bought an iphone, is there some way to disable this, or will I throw this usless phone away and get an Android.

I don't buy that...and don't understand the cap... same carrier with Android device and same plan doesn't have a data transfer limit. One of the many reasons I'm looking forward to dumping this thing once my contract is up. Apple requires a lot more functionality before they will win my business back. Small examples...memory card, bluetooth file transfers (to non-IOS devices), no download cap, competive answer to 'swype' typing, and file management system to save and transfer files other than movies and pictures.

Data transfer limits -- Confusing info

When I click on the page on dot mac that tells me how much data transfer I have used, I see two numbers.
For instance, one line says:
You are currently using 260.1 MB of 5 GB bimonthly data transfer limit.
Then below, it lists the date I opened my dot mac account (two days ago), and says, "Amount used: 1.94 GB"
I can't figure out which number I should be keeping an eye on? I don't want to exceed my 5 GB bi-weekly limit.
Can anyone explain? Thanks, in advance.

The "data transfer" is how much bandwidth (from your limits) has been used for the bimonthly period.
The 260.1MB number is the one to watch. To increase your monthly bandwidth limit from the standard 10GB's you need to purchase additional storage space.
Doubling the default (1GB to 2GB) for about $50 a year moves your data transfer amount from 10 to 25GB's.

I'm running out of data transfer space?

Anyone help me understand how this fills up, and what it's caused by? I have a QT short movie on my iWebsite, if it matters. Says,
"You are currently using 3.82 GB of 5 GB bimonthly data transfer limit. Find out more about data transfer limits."

Upgrading to the family pack still only gives you 1GB of space, no idea what the data transfer is, but probably still 10GB/month.

How do I install Adobe Photoshop in a new computer? I've had CS5 a few years ago in another laptop.

Basically I got the student version of Adobe Creative Suite 5 back in high school. I'm now in college (still a student!) but I used my high school email to register the product. I deactivated the adobe photoshop in the old computer and have the serial number, but because my old high school already deleted my school email, I can't access my adobe ID anymore (I forgot it). I can't install Photoshop into my new computer without my Adobe ID. What should I do??

Thanks for the reply. However, I'm really, really frustrated. The link works for the recommended program but it has a transfer limit of 100 files. I've spent literally hours trying to find genuine freeware to do the job rather than paying $25 for a one-off program that I'll never use again. Is there are any reliable freeware out there that does the job? To be honest money is very tight at the moment and spending $25 for a program I'll never use again is something I could do without!

I Pod Freezes when playing!

Had my ipod video 30g for about a year! When I scroll through albums it just freezes on the song or carries on playing. I have to reset it and it does the same again! Any ideas???

Can someone help us with this? I have the same problem. I can usually upload one or two gigabytes just fine onto a restored ipod, but if I try to add more, either at the same time or at a later time, the transfer freezes, at around 2 to 5 gigabytes. Once it freezes, I can't even see the music I previously uploaded onto my ipod, it just says "no music." I can't transfer more music or play any songs on the ipod (since it doesnt detect any files) until I restore.
So far, after many transfer attempts with iTunes and the 3rd party program mediamonkey (which also used to work just fine with the ipod), I haven;t been able to get around the problem even once. Right now I'm stuck carefully uploading my music so I don;t hit the transfer limit and have to start all over again. Does anyone know of this problem and how to fix it?

this may seem a lot like the other topics on here, but i'm a little naive when it comes to this sort of thing. i have a macbook pro and my friend has a pc with a logitech webcam. when we first started to try video chatting, it was really hit or miss, but it did work a few times. it would, however, disconnect at random times and then it wouldn't work again. i have recently moved and we haven't been able to get anything to work. if i initiate the video chat, then it says she has been disconnected, and if she initiates it, a communication error pops up when i accept her invite. i really have no idea what to do. any help would be much appreciated. thanks a lot.

Ask your friend on the PC what AIM version she is running, if it is not AIM 6.1 ask her her to update. Also tell her to download flash from the adobe site.
Make sure she meets the requirements to video chat (like broadband and a decent multimedia PC). Ask her to make a new screen name, so IF a data limit applies it will be set to max I (don't know about AOL but the data transfer limit has been raised to 100 GB per month for full mac accounts) I doubt this goes for a free screen name but it would be something to consider. You need to update if you are not on 10.4.1 Have her invite you after you've set the new location. Use the network assistant:
