Transfer master home share to another PC-

My main PC has been dead for over 2 years, so I've been using a family member's PC to re-establish my iTunes library. I've just recently breathed life back into my original PC and have established a 'home sharing' between them all, however, I want to re-establish my main control of iTunes back to my original PC…. How do I do this?!
My sharing consists of:
(1) Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC (current master iTunes location)
(1) Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop PC (desired master iTunes location)
[both Dell's running MS Vista Home Premium]
(1) iPad 3 Generation #MD368LL/A
(1) iPhone4 #MC608LL/A
[both Apple products running iOS 6.1.2(10B146)]

No one knows?!?!

Syncing home share to another device

I have set up home share so that my wife is able to play my shared library on her PC but I can not get the music to then sync to her iphone. We need individua iCloud accounts to keep synced contacts etc seperate but we only have 1 music library.
Any thoughts on how I can get the music onto her device?

We'll need to get the music into her library if she wants to sync it to the iPhone. (Home sharing can stream the music from your library to the phone, but it can't be synced directly to her phone from your library.)
Rather than dragging and dropping, try this.
In the computer you're moving music to, select the home shared library you're moving music from, as per the following screenshot:
Select the songs you want to transfer. Now click the "Import" button down in the the bottom-right-hand corner of the screen, as per the following screenshot:

Can i home share with another person in another state so i can share my itunes library with them?

I'm in one state and my friend is in another state. Can I turn on home sharing and allow them to turn on home sharing too and have them log into my itunes account to sync up my music? They wiped out their music library and I want to allow them to download my music library.
I have iphoneS and they have iphone4. We both are on windows xp.

No. It only works on your local network.

Using Home Share, on the same account, can i transfer / download my iTunes library from one computer to another?

I have a match account and i am not trying to share with another account, i am only trying to move from one computer to the other. I see my music on the new home laptop but i think they are only showing b/c they are in the cloud and i am worried that the moment i give up my other computer and and that library is blown away (its a work computer that my library will be gone, I know really poor planning).

Decide which one will be the Master/primary Mac for your iTunes.
If it is the new one then get a ext HD and drag/copy the iTunes folder to the HD then plug it in to the new Mac and drag the iTunes folder in to the Music folder or connect the 2 Macs via TB/FW/Ethernet and drag the iTunes folder to the new Mac.

HT3819 I can use the home share for music but it won't let me share audio books?? How do I transfer the books to another pc?

I can home share music no problem, but it won't transfer the audio books on to the other pc?? How do I do that please?

What is the original source for these audiobooks? In other words where were they originally downloaded or ripped from? What format are these audiobooks in?
Why can't you copy them over to the other PC using Home Sharing?

Just got an imac and am trying to transfer itunes library from Dell pc via home share method. All goes well but directions say to click the import button. I don't see an import button anywhere. If I close itunes on pc it also disappears from imac.

check the lower right corner of the iTunes window
if you don't see this while the homeshared library is loaded, home sharing hasn't been set up properly.

Does Home Share's Automatically Transfer New Purchases option transfer 'new' content, or just itunes purchases?

music you add yourself must be transferred manually.

new computer, trying to restore itunes account from old to new. Some files ok(itunes store) some-"cannot find original file". I used a thumb to copy files from old computer to this one. Tryed to do the home share on old comp. but it is not respoding(core foundation warning) HLEP!

While attempting to home share it picks up the other library but i am unable to clig and drag music from one computer to the other?

i have used homeshare between mine and my sisters computer. it worked perfectly, however when i try to use home share between my home computer and my laptop i can not click and drag music from my home library to my laptop. what can i do to fix this?

Since both computers are connected via the network, you could simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another via the network.
If both computers are running Windows, use the Easy File Transfer Utility built into Windows to move iTunes and all other user media/data.

Home Share questions....

I've never used Home Share before & I'm trying to get all my stuff from my old laptop to my new laptop.
I turned homeshare on both of the laptops & I have a ton of purchased stuff that was obviously purchased before turning on home share. I know Apple says you can manually transfer purchases made before home share was turned on but it's not letting me do anything. I click on the purchase I want to move into share & it wont let me do it.
I want to transfer all my music & all the TV shows I have but I'm not really having any luck.
Is there something I need to do differently?

I have the same problem. My Mac Mini is being used as my server. Oddly, my iPhone works as always but the iPad stopped working - i believe about a week or so ago when I updated the firmware on my Mac Mini. There was another update available today, however, to no avail.
I had previously, conistently had a problem that required going to settings on both my iPad and my iPhone and turning off Home Sharing in Music then restartig Home Sharing. This always resolved the problem of a small percentage of albums and artists showed up. This doesn't resolved the inability for the iPad to connect. I turned off Home Sharing on the Mac Mini and turned it back on, rebooted the computer, loaded OS X 10.8.3. Nothing works. I just get an endless rotating circle - for hours. So... it appears to be trying but can't load the database. I think it is a software bug introduced on the second last update of OS X
Hopefully Apple will recognize the problem and come up with a fix.
I just updated the iPad to 6.1.3 and that didn't fix the problem.
I also updated my iPhone today and it still works and was working prior to the latest update to 6.1.3
I am using an Airport Extreme and an Airport Express as my wireless network.
Airport Utility shows all devices are connected and have Excellent connections.
The IP Address on each device shows up on Airport Utility. Just as a check, i rebooted everything - Airport Express, Airport Extreme, iPad, Mac Mini. Logged off of Home Sharing on all devices and logged back in. Still nothing.
Bottom line - the problem seems to be tied to the Server's version of iTunes - can't say for sure, but everything else seems to be fine.

If you use home sharing to transfer music to your laptop, it stays on the laptop and you can take it anywhere.

You can also choose to have iTunes automatically import purchases you make on any of your Home Sharing computers to your own library."

HT202213 Home share is on but does not work

The home share has now done this twice. I have the icon on all devices but twice not they dont work. They cant find one another. I have shut done and restarted all devices and checked to see the home share is on. It tells me see its on but the icons said no devices. I bought a apple tv so I could do this but this is getting to be a pain.

Sounds like the lcd display died. If it's under warranty with your carrier, call them and get a replacement. If not, it's time for a new BB.
