Transfer Movies & TV shows to other Mac

I have purchased both movies and TV shows on my Mac Pro. I would like to watch them on my big screen TV in the living room. To do so I would have to transfer the videos from my Mac Pro to my MacBook Pro so I can take my portable to my living room to connect it to my DVI capable TV.
How do I do the transfer?

Use a usb "thumb drive", burn them to a data DVD, copy them to an external hard drive, transfer them over the network.
Just remember to authorize iTunes on the second computer which you can do by starting to play one of the items and then filling in the info in the box that pops up.

No, this is not the case. I know where i purchased the movie and I also know movies cant be added to the cloud such as music, TV shows can. The instance happened during the dowload. I think that depending which computer is up and running and the bandwith allocated on either network, which ever computer that finishes first is the one that gets the movie. Just a thought. So next time I will ensure my IMAC is not running. I think that fixes it.

...Or do I can I do it through an ethernet cable?...simple answer: yes exactly! get your mini besides your emac (ok, you need a monitor and a keyboard too), connect both with an ethernet cable(even a firewire cabel would work!), establish a little network, drag project from A to B...... easy as that!
or, forget the "network thing", connect them with a firewirecable and restart the emac and press the T-key on its keaboard. now, the emac is just another external drive, you see in the finder of your mini...... (hopefully, the admin of your school's mac allows such a procedure)

How can I transfer my photos/events to other Mac Devices?

I seem to be stuck here.....I have two iMac's and an Macbook Pro (all 2009 or newer) and on my primary desktop I have all of my photos organized into events and everything on iPhoto.
Now, I want to transfer all of those photos/events onto my other Mac computers. I have an external hard drive but when I try to copy the photos to the hard drive, it does that but it can't copy them in the events they are in. It just copies every photo I have to one big folder, complete mess.
Is there an easy way to do this? I simply want to take all the pictures in my iPhoto on the computer downstairs and transfer them to my other iMac and Macbook Pro while keeping them organized in the "events" and "faces" and "places" folders as they are on iPhoto on the primary.

Kinda new to this so pardon me but how do I drag the iPhoto Library itself? Where is that located?
Actually....I think I may have it.
That iPhoto Library icon, just drag that to the external and then transfer it from the External to the other devices "Pictures" folder?? Then I should be able to just start iPhoto from the toolbar and it will all be there?

How transfer my website created on other Mac?

First time post...
Before I got iWeb, a friend who had it already created a website for me. Now that I have iWeb & a .Mac account, I'd like to transfer the site to my Mac so that I can do the maintaining and updates to the site myself. Any thoughts on how to transfer?

You must get the file called "Domain" from your friends computer and copy it over to your Mac. You can find this "Domain" file in its default location on the hard drive/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/iWeb/ folder tree. Once you have it copied from your friends Mac, put it in the same folder location on your own Mac, replacing whatever Domain file is already there. Then when you launch iWeb on your own Mac, your website should show up.

.mov file saved from other Mac not working on new Macbook

Per another similar thread it was suggested to enable the "Show legacy encoders" under QuickTime Advanced Preferences, but it still won't work. QuickTime opens and plays the file but there is no sound or picture? Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean here. Did you use the "Save As..." option to save the files as "Reference" movies to the USB drive? If so, they can't open because the "Standalone" reference file is not available on the mew system for playback.

Codecs: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, DV, Tween, Integer (Big Endian)
What QT application are your referring to here? A "Tween" track is not usual for captured DV/AIFF content and would probably cause problems with an application like iMovie '08/'09 which don't like all possible MOV container track types.
That's unusual, there is no Format information available. Just 1)source, 2)data size, 3)data range, 4)current time, and 5)duration.
Sounds like corruption in the file, the QT embedded structure or the QT player. If the "small" files (like MPeG4/AAC) play okay, and only large ones (like DV/AIFF) have problems, then you may wish to check the USB drive format for file size limitations, data integrety, and/or other problems.

A movie I purchased on iTunes is indeed listed in iTunes of other iCloud family members however won't play/download (both the iCloud icon and the "play/triangle" icon show but nothing happens if I click on either).

Album art not showing on other Mac

On my iMac all the album art was present in iTunes. After matching and uploading all the songs (afterwards I deleted them and redownloaded to get the 256kbps version) everything was still ok on my iMac. However on my MacBook Pro only several cd's display album art. I can't really seem to find out why some have and why some don't have the album art, it seems to be random. On my iPhone 4 most of the album art is showing, with just a few exceptions. For this I also have no explanation.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure that in iTunes on the music tab for the ipod you have a checkmark in the box saying "Show Album Artwork on Ipod" or something along those lines. If it is not checked, do so and click apply. If it is checked then uncheck it and click apply. Then recheck it and click apply. This should get the artwork on the ipod. It may take awhile depending on how many tracks you have that have artwork.

Can I transfer movies/tv shows to apple tv for storage to free up HD space?

short answer, no.
the appletv is not a primary storage device, and as such it is designed to only have copies of your content, and not the only content.
your master library is still itunes and as such itunes should always have all your content in it.
if you are running out of space then i suggest some external storage.

Movies/tv shows on i-touch. Transfer to i-Mac?
I lost movies and tv shows and music on the i-Mac that I sync my i-touch to due to necessary reformat of the hard drive. They are still on the i-touch for now. But I'd like to get them back on the i-mac if possible. I'm concerned they might be lost if I try to sync.
Apparently I'm not allowed to redownload them from itunes even though they know I purchased them.
Anybody know if there is a way to get them from the i-touch to the i-mac ?

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.
