Transfer mpeg video to ipad via internet
How to transfer mpeg video to ipad via internet?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Amazon blocks Airplay in encoding the movie. It's not the HDMI cable, or AppleTV for that matter.

Transfer iPhone video to iPad
Hi daac20,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. If you have access to a computer you can use it to transfer the video from your iPhone to the computer to the iPad:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
iTunes: Syncing photos
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
The second article's steps also apply to videos recorded with the iPhone that have been transferred to the computer.
Cheers,

I shot a video with the camera on an iPad and want to transfer a copy to a new iPad Mini to take advantage of the retina display. I can see it in a photo stream, but it won't let save it to the new iPad. The old iPad didn't have enough memory to work on an iMovie, so I need to get the video in the new iPad mini to put it in an iMovie project.
Okay, I figured out that Windows has "AutoPlay" settings which can automatically download photos and videos from a newly connected device, such as an iPad Mini. I think I could open it in Windows Explorer too that way but the auto download solved my problem.

I can't download apps to my iPad via Internet sharing (Lion) anymore
I always use my Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard to share my Internet connection with my iPad 2. However, since I upgraded to Lion, my iPad 2 can't seem to download apps thru Internet Sharing anymore. If I use our office WiFi, the App download works fine. But when I connect using Internet Sharing again, it doesn't download the apps.
Interestingly, all my other apps (in the iPad) that require internet connectivity works really well. Only the app store can't download, it surfs really fast though when I want to view an app. ONLY the download is not working right.
Any thoughts?Close all the apps in the recents tray on your iPad, reboot again, and see if that solves either problem.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Since it will not hurt anything, you could try resetting your router as well. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. -
Projecting Video from iPad via TV
Hi,
I purchased an Apple adapter that allows me to connect my iPad to my HDMI televison. When I connect it, I can see the iPad screen and all the icons for my Apps. When I launch my TruTV app, I can see the app banner, but when I go to view the live tv, the audio plays, but the video does not show up on my screen, though I can see it on my iPad. Any ideas as to how I can resolve this?
Thanks. My dad is in the hospital and local teams are playing in the NCAA tournament. The hospital does not subscrbe to he right channels. My dad subscribes to the cable company that provides the channel and can login to TruTV and watch it, but I'd like ot project it for him.Quick answer: the TruTV app does not support video out. TruTV made that decision at some point while developing their app.
Here's the supporting info.
Reference: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4108
Note: Third-party apps may offer video out or video mirroring. To determine if an app supports either feature, refer to the Info page for the app in the App Store, or contact the developer.
Here's a screenshot of an app that supports it 'Netflix' You can search Netflix on the App Store if it's too small to read (or click the image to make it big here in the forum)
Here's TruTV's info page, missing the line for video out/video mirroring support. -
Download photos/video to iPad via CCK?
Can I use the Camera Connection Kit (CCK) on my iPad to download/import photo and videos from the new iTouch to the iPad?
Yes, if you don't have an iPhone...if you have an iPhone, the cameras are superior, and of course it is one less device to carry...

How do i transfer home video to ipad. for video or is it purely clips
Is there any storage capacity for video or is it purely clips.
My camera is a Sony DCR-SR37 HDDIf you convert video to an iPad playable format, you can put whatever home videos you want on it.
Handbrake is a good video converter that will convert movies to iPad playable format.

No major problem, just takes a lot of unecessary time. Whenever i do either of the following functions of adding a video, book, or a music file. Itunes keeps checking for the previously deleted files on the ipad and i dont know why. My problem is that if i just want to add ONE single file i will take more time because it does that silly thing. Any suggestion why this happens and how can be fixed?
My current settings are:
(TICK) Prevent ipad from syncing automatically,
(TICK) Manually manage music and videos,If it's any consolation i've just had a similar thing happen. Went to add a playlist and it wiped 35 gig of music off my iPod touch 64g in a nanosecond. I've got the latest iTunes and osx but do not back up because i keep different styles of music (and loads of it) in separate libraries and devices which i don't want mixed together. All my stuff is burned from cd so it's not lost for good and i've got a hard drive with the "lost" mp3 music on it but even so it will take literally weeks to prune the tracks for my iPod to be the same again. Why do they make it so difficult to manage your music on these things. I have massive amounts of music on my computer so autofill is a disastrous unusable gimmick to me. The whole thing seems to be aimed at 9 year old kids with about 6 mp3's on their phone rather than serious music lovers (for example accessing EQ is a joke let alone the lack of a manual option). I'm a dj and use apple for that reason but to be honest i'm beginning to wonder why. I'm absolutely livid. The weird thing is that my mac still shows the titles of the missing tunes in the 'on my device' window but as my macbook storage display shows no increase i'm pretty sure it's all gone. Nightmare. I have no confidence in this device anymore and could barely use the previous osx 8.2 anyway. Why they have to change it every ten minutes is beyond me. As the old saying goes 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' but this format just gets more broken every time they update. An absolute disgrace. Why not just drag and drop or delete. No wonder the iPod is said to be a dying device, it's for music, it is not a phone. Not fit for purpose anymore. I can't be bothered to read a massive 'how to use' article every update. Good technology should be easier and more intuitive with each new version. I suppose i'll have to phone apple at my expense to find out what's going on, or maybe that's the whole idea. Very very very not happy.

Is there a good card I can put in the computer, and use with a hotspot? Any experience with uploading HD video files this way. DSL hard wired connection is too slow
As for the people on eBay, my only beef with them is that it has turned into a money hungry store instead of an auction place to pick things up inexpensively, like it used to be.
Agreed.
There is one, in particular, who really puts a dear price on his flashed cards.
Not a friend to the Mac community.
Of course, others see his prices, and say "Well, if he can, then so can I".....
By the way, I have been noticing the same cards, only for PC for around $30-$40, which lead me to believe that those are the ones they are "flashing". Sorry if that's incorrect.
It's OK.
I watch for the prime cards all the time.
Radeon 9800 Pro and XT PC cards have increased to the $50-$70 range.
Pros used to be $20-$30, XTs $30-$60.
Some guys here in Japan are trying to get $100 for Radeon 9800 Pro cards- vanilla PC versions.
The glut in Mac options has inflated the flashable PC card market dramatically.....
The Mac Edition Pro retailed for $200+.
$100 isn't bad for that card flashed to Mac... the XT gets $20-$50 more.
Try telling a PC guy that a Radeon 9800 is a $100 card..... the old boys laugh!
Adding to this is the recent influx of "new" Mac users, PC modders/users buying cheap, used G4's, and the demand for upgrades has increased as supply decreased.
If you see any rev 5.70 Geforce 7800 GS AGP cards, or any FireGl (Radeon) X800XT (unflashed) cards for less than $130, amazing is all that I have to say.
$30-$40, and I'll take 20 of each- cash!
Hmm, same goes for Geforce 6800 Ultra's......
I am just a little (or a lot) frustrated with Apple and Apple vendors lately. For obvious and not so obvious reasons. Please accept my apologies as I go through this phase.
We all have our days, and our reasons. At least, I know I do......
Apology warmly accepted!
Count me as frustrated, as well.
The new machines sure look nice, but when I tally up the price of the software that I own, which can't be run on Intel or 10.6x Macs, my room full of G4's look a lot nicer.
