Transfer music from 3gs to 4s?

Hi,
I have backed up my 3gs and used the restore back function to copy this to my 4s. Contacts and texts have copied across, but not my music or apps?

Backups don't include music and apps. Transfer any purchases made on the 3Gs by right-clicking its icon in iTunes and choosing "Transfer purchases" - then sync them from iTunes to the new phone.
Matt

For music you purchased directly through itunes, you can use itunes to transfer that from your phone back into your itunes library: First, Store>Authorize this Computer, then File>Transfer Purchases.

  • How to transfer music from iPhone 3GS to 4s

I need help on how to transfer music from my old iPhone 3GS to my new iPhone 4s.  Thanks

Apple's method is you sync the new phone to the same iTunes library you used with the old phone. You do not do a phone-to-phone transfer nor do you transfer items (except iTunes Store purchases ) from a phone to a computer.  Your computer's iTunes is the master and up-to-date repository of your media.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
'Tranferring' implies the change of ownership, which isn't possible.
If you mean share the content, this can be done by homesharing.

If you mean iTunes Store accounts, no.

Temporarily disable any security software on the computer, then attempt to sync content to the device.
If that resolves the problem, contact whomever supports the security software (not Apple) and inquire how to prevent their software from intereferring with iTunes.
