Transfer music on ipod onto PC

How do I transfer all my music on my ipod classic onto my new PC?

Use a Flash Drive/Portable HD/CD/DVD to transfer the mp3 files to your PC.  Then import them into itunes.

Once everything is in iTunes you can sync your new iPod.

  • How do I transfer music from iPod to iPod

How do I transfer music from iPod to iPod and I don't have windows on my MAC. I don't want to have to load everything again onto the new ipod.

You can't transfer directly from iPod to iPod.
But it's easy if you are using the sync setting to put music on your first iPod. You just connect the second iPod to your Mac and sync it to your iTunes library, like you did with the first one.
If you are using the +manually manage music+ setting AND the music on the first iPod is NOT in your iTunes library (only on the iPod), then it is not so easy. You need to use a third party utility first, such as Senuti or YamiPod

to transfer your music files from the first iPod to the iMac. Put the music into your iTunes library. Sync the second iPod to the iTunes library (or transfer manually if you don't want to use sync for some reason).

  • How to transfer Music from iPod to Computer/Windows/Mac

I want to transfer iPod music to my mac, because iPod memory is not enought to use, whether I need a tool to help me to transfer music from iPod to my mac, because apple devices is not allowed to direct transfer music from ipod to mac, whether you have some good idea? Please help me!!!thanks!

1.The first thing you want to do is connect your iPod to your computer via the white USB cable.
2.After your iPod is connected, open My Computer, or just Computer from the start menu and look for the iPod drive. It should be in the (F:drive. You will see the iPod logo in the listing of disk drives.
3.If you are using Windows 7: Open the iPod drive and click on ORGANIZE. Then folder and search options tab. Then View and Show hidden files and folders.
If you are using Windows XP, open the iPod drive and click tools then Folder options then View tab then click show hidden files and folder. Finally click Apply.
4.Now you should have a new folder called ipod_control. Open that folder up and you should see the following: Calendar, Contacts, ipod_control, notes, photos, ect. If you are trying to save all of your music then the ipod_control folder is the only one you need to worry about.
5.Open the ipod_control folder then open the music folder. Copy each one of those folders (should look similar to these: F00, F01 ...) onto your computer. You can do this by creating a new folder on your desktop and dragging the files into the folder.
6.Open iTunes and insert the new folder you created on your computer's desktop into: library ---> Music
You can now transfer music from your iPod to this new computer with out losing all of your music.
    Hope it can help you.

  • How can I transfer music from iPod to iTunes?

All of the music on my iPod nano is in my ex-husband's iTunes on a Mac. Now have a Windows PC and want to transfer music from iPod to iTunes. Computer says 'Need to Format disk in Drive E'. Will this lose everything? Not sure what the best way is to do everything but haven't got any way of backing up my iPod at present. Thank you!

any itunes purchased music can be transferred from phone to pc via hitting the "transfer purchases" option when u right click on the phone under devices in itunes on the computer when it is plugged in. any non-itunes purchased music is stuck on the phone and cannot be transferred to the computer. u will have to load it onto the computer from the original source or from the old computer.

  • Any way to transfer music from iPod to iTunes

I had to get new laptop and lost all my music from the iTunes I had on the previous lap top. Is there a way to transfer music from iPod to iTunes ?

Or you can do it the cheap way...
In the options screens, check "Enable Disk Use." Your ipod should then show up in your My Computer as a new drive.
In My Computer, go to TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS...>View [tab] and under "Hidden files and folders," choose to "Show hidden files and folders"
A new folder will pop up in My Computer's Ipod Drive letter called "Control" or something like that. You should be able to dig around in there and find a bunch of mp3s randomly named... Those represent your music files. Drag all the folders that have your music in it to the new computer's harddrive.
Now go into iTunes, "add Folder to Library," Choose the folder that you drug from your iPod and iTunes will import all your music as if nothing happened. Synch it up and it will transfer all this "new music" to your iPod, replacing the old music with the "new" stuff. You'll see... It's like nothing ever happened.
Please note that you'll lose your ratings and playlists... But honestly... Who cares??
    Happy transferring!

  • Transfer music from iPod to iPod on the same system

How do you transfer music from iPod to iPod when you have 2 iPods connected to the same computer, I'm having a hard times to do a transfer, please help. Thanks

You can't transfer directly from one iPod to another. If you have songs on one iPod that aren't on the other you have to copy them to iTunes and update your iPod from there.
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content only from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of non purchased content is designed to be one way, from iTunes to the iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

Bottom line: I am reporting on this one and clearly state that. So, is what the Adobe documents are saying about .wav  non support in Premiere Elements Mac not true?
    Details:
My replies to the originator of this thread about wav relate only to Mac in this thread asking about music in Premiere Elements Mac.
On this one I am reporting on what I have read in Adobe documents. And, I clearly state I am strictly an Elements Windows user.
    Please note my comment
However, I did come across the following which suggests wav files can be played in Mac.
How to Play a WAV File on a MacBook | Chron.com
So, the question would be is there a difference between being able to playback wav in QuickTime multimedia player of a Mac versus
having Premiere Elements itself having no support for wav?
Since you are an Elements Mac user, could you respond to:
If the following is as you SG have written it here
WAV files work much more efficiently than any other audio format in both the Windows and Mac versions of Premiere Elements.
then why do the Adobe documents for Premiere Elements Supported Audio Import formats show wav as Windows Only?
Thank you for your Mac input on this.
    Thank you.
