Transfer of appointments

My transfer of appointments has succeeded since yesterday no longer with my Nokia 9300i. Synchronisation runs normally therefore that does he but there nothing is, however, transferred everything remains the same. Where can this hold course?

My iphone 3Gs won't transfer new appointments to a shared ical and will only receive 3 out of 4 calendars when connected via itunes to our imac. Help!?

Usually I just connect my phone, itunes opens automatically and the phone syncs. It downloads any new appointments from my husbands updates into my phone from the computer and updates the ical on the computer with my new appointments. This system has allowed us for a whole year to keep a joint family calender. One phone still works but not the other. Any suggestions would be greatly apprciated!

I should add that I get the message "iTunes could not sync calenders to the iPhone because the iPhone disconneced". My iPhone is still connected and my husband uses the same cable successfully to sync his phone with our computer. My apps, contacts, music etc. all sync without any problems. How can you copy iPad calendar data to ical?

If iTunes is setup to do this then the iPad calendar data will be synced to iCal when you connect your iPad to iTunes on your Mac. To enable this in iTunes when you connect your iPad go to Devices/your iPad name in the left column and then select Info at the top and check "Sync iCal Calendars".

Transferring appointments, etc. to new version of iCal

Hi Everyone:
I'm trying to transfer my appointments, reminders, etc. from an earlier version of iCal (1.5.5) running in OS 10.3.9 to a newer version of the software (10.5.8) running in OS 10.5.8. Can someone please tell me how this is done? I apologize if this question has already been answered in a previous post but I couldn't find anything in the discussions that addresses it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Dan,
Select one of the calendars in the Calendar list on your 10.3.9 computer, choose File > Export > Export, and export to a known location. Do this for each existing calendar, and then double-click, or use File > Import > Import the previously saved files to your 10.5.8 computer.

Storm won't keep past Outlook (2003) calendar entries

I have spent @ 10 hours with Verizon support personnel trying to resolve this issue; the issue has been escalated and am waiting for a call from an analyst.
I have changed the option on the device to keep appt's forever. Recently, per a suggestion from Bifocals, I tried a date range transfer: from 1000 days before to 365 days after,with a two way transfer, and notification if a conflict occurs and got this message:

          11 Addition(s)
          6 Change(s)
The following changes from Calendar Microsoft Outlook will be applied to your Device data in Calendar:

I have also tried a one way transfer and have gotten the info onto my phone, but invariably past calendar items disappear from the device and often want to take my Outlook desktop entries with them.
I simply want to be able to keep 3 years of past calendar entries on my device and transfer future appointments that I make on my device to my Outlook desktop calendar when I synchronize the two.
Does anyone have any ideas? Please?

You should have a number to contact them back with a case number.
in the meantime, lets get some background info.
1. on the BB, open the calendar. click Menu, and options
next screen you will see Calendars
What do you see underneath ? Now click on each one and tell me the number of entries you see for each one.
(ex:
Device Default = 56
[email protected] = 34
[email protected] = 0)
You dont need to tell me your emails, just use email1, email2, email3 etc
2. now, got back to home screen and go to options- advanced options- default services... which of those previous items is attached to CICAL?
3. options, advanced options, service books... do you see 2 entries of each of your emails?
4. options, advanced options, applications... do you see facebook and what is the version number to the right?
5. plug into DTM(DeskTop Manager) and click on backup/restore- advanced... on the right side, scroll down to calendar
How many entries do you see for "Calendar", and how many do you see for "Calendar All"

Calendar hotsync issue

Have two email accounts in Outlook that also send messages onto my phone. When I hotsync the calendar to my phone it's fine (going from personal folder onto phone) but when I make an appointment on my phone, at the top of the screen it gives me either email address but not the default option that links to the Calendar in Outlook so any appointments I put onto my phone don't hotsync. I can see a default option on the phone when i go into the Options screen but when making the appointment, the option is not available. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear you're experiencing synchronization issues with your BlackBerry and Outlook.
First of all, you can change your Default Calendar that makes the entries by going to Options>Advanced Options>Default Services or Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services (depending on your software version on your BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone). Where you see Calendar [CICAL] you can change this to the desired email account.
Once you have the desired default Calendar set, backup your data using BlackBerry Desktop Software. Since you have more than one calendar list, you will need to merge them to transfer the appointments made with the wrong email to the one you sync with.
Follow the steps in KB19240 How to merge multiple calendars into one calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone. Again, it is essential you back up your data as this will change the Calendar on your device.
Once the Calendars have been merged into the new default that you want to use, retry the sync.
Let me know how you make out.

Outlook Help - Syncing

When I sync my iPHONE I can get my Outlook calendar to go to my phone but my calendar info on my phone doesn't show up on my PC / Outlook.
Everything else seems to sync perfectly like I can sync contacts from outlook to my phone and from my phone to Outlook.
I know it is something really simple but if you can help that would be great.

I'm also having Outlook sync problems. I'm running Outlook 2003 and iPhone 3GS with iOS4 and iTunes 9.2.
I discovered that appointments were not coppied across Outlook/iPhone in either direction.
I've tried many different things including restarts and reinstallation of iTunes.
Currently I've deselected calendar and contacts from syncing and now when I'm opening up Calendars on the iPhone it crashes the first time and on the second says 'Loading...' and stays like that what seems like forever.
Turning on calendar sync brings my appointments across to the iPhone. But only partly. The calendar info is old and it won't transfer new appointments I put in.
Does this sound like the same problems you are having?

Hi there, it's a very basic phone and does not have any micro usb port. So what youre asking for is impossible.
It also lacks Wlan, Bluetooth, Infrared and a card slot.
That would make it unsuable for your needs. In other words, you cannot do it.

Multippel calendars

After upgrading from 5800 to N8 I got a new problem.
The phone-calender (that is synced with OVI Suite and local Outlook on my PC)
is not the same as the calender syned with Mail for Exchange.
They are suddenly kept as two different calendars.
But I don't want that.
I want all appointment to be synced both with Exchange and OVI Suite.
How do I merge these calenders?
And what do I do the day I stop using Mail for Exchange (like when I switch job).
How do I transfer the appointments from the one calender to the other?

I have a similar problem with my E-7-00…
I created 4 calendars in my phone (two personal and two businesses), I have a total of 1700 entries (!), and now it turns out that I have no way to synchronize entries with my Outlook. I also can’t merge calendars; I can't automatically move all entries from 4 calendars to the primary calendar.
This is probably the worst problem in Nokia smartphones!
After all, when a user creates additional calendars, there is no warning that there will be no option of synchronization, that his data will always remain in his phone! It's a trap for the user!? This is absurd!
Why this obvious feature does still has not been added??? What's the point?

And then, the managers of Nokia wondering why Nokia is losing market share. That's why.
In my opinion, this problem affects thousands of users of Nokia phones. I think that about 10% of users of Nokia smartphones create more than one calendar, and sooner or later has the same problem. It is exceptionally necessary function.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact configuration you are currently using/describing. If you are talking about My Photo Stream, you should be aware that it only stores stores photos for 30 days in order to allow for other device to connect and download the photos. If you would like to keep them long term off of your iPhone, you may want to set up your computer (Mac or Windows) to automatically download them. You may find the following article helpful:

If you plug in your ipod and/or iphone to your new machine, they should show up in the left column in itunes.
You can ctrl-click on the device there and choose "transfer purchases". It should then copy the apps and other purchases from your device onto the new machine.

Leaving company with MS Exchange. Need to transfer all appts

I'll be leaving my company soon and all of my appts - work and personal - are on my Exchange calendar. Once I lose that email address, I'll lose all my appointments. How do I take all those appointments and put them into a different calendar so I don't lose anything?
As well, I will be moving to a company that has an Exchange server so I would like to transfer the data to the new Exchange once it's up and running on my phone. Easy?

If you have Outlook available on your PC at home, export your Exchange calendar events from Outlook on your computer at work for import by Outlook on your personal PC at home. If your new employer does not allow you to access the company Exchange account with Outlook on a personal computer at home, you will need to do the reverse to get these calendar events available on the Exchange server at work. Export from Outlook on your personal PC at home for import by Outlook on your PC at work.

Appointments in BB won't sync to Outlook / duplicates

HI all I have two questions. 1. I have a number of appointments on the BB which don't transfer to Outlook when I sync. I have tried adding text to the comments to try to trigger a sync (as it's changed) but it makes no difference. Any ideas? 2. I have two email addresses on the BB - work and personal. It continually duplicates meetings by associating them with whichever other email they were received by. What I want is to add meetings to either the laptop or BB, and for them to sync, without duplications or nonsyncs. Background - I'm using a BB Torch 9800, s/w v.6 bundle 2949. I have the latest desktop software. I'm using Outlook 2007. I'm a privta euser - no corporate server etc. My service provider in the UK is Orange who don't have a clue about BB issues. HELP!

Sounds like you may have events in more than one calendar on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone. Only the calendar selected as default on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone will be synchronized.

How do I get my new Mac to sync existing calendar appointments from my Iphone 3gs?

I have set up Mobile Me on both my phone and the Mac, and it is syncing new appointments, but I can't get existing appointments from my phone on to the Mac. Thanks, Rachel

You will need a program such as Senuti or PodWorks to transfer the other tunes back to the Mac.
The iPod is one way affair except for purchase tunes/video.
