I recently gave up my iphone 4s which was still working on IOS 5. I have backed it up on my PC using ITUNES. I restored the back up on my ipad mini yet i can't seem to find anything on it including my photos...Help Please!

How to transfer album of images from desktop mac to iPad mini

I want to transfer an album of photos from my desktop mac to my iPad mini. The photos are in a certain order that I want.
1. In iPhoto on my desktop, I went to Preferences > Sharing -- and checked "Share my photos" and "Share Selected albums:".
2. I checked only one album, the album I want to transfer.
3. I plugged in my iPad mini using USB. The icon appears on the sidebar in iPhoto. Then it automatically syncs "477 images." I don't know why this happens. I only checked one album, as stated. Regardless, none of those photos in the album transfer.
Anyone have any suggestions? I search internet for help, but the tips always send me to iTunes. I don't see how to do anything with my photos in iTunes anymore.

You need to sync using iTunes on your Mac to specify which photo albums from iPhoto or the new Photos app that you want to sync to your iPad. Start iTunes on the Mac and connect your iPad. Then select your iPad at the top of the iTunes windows. You should be provided with a hint about where to make this selection.
Select the Photos tab and choose to sync selected albums. Select the album you want to sync. The click on Sync or Apply.
The selected album or albums will be copied to the iPad.

Can't restore messages from iPhone 3GS to iPad mini

I tried to transfer informations from my iPhone 3GS to my new iPad mini via iCloud backup with no success. Once restore is completed, some data is missing on the iPad, like messages SMS and images. I think it's normal that photos won't be restored because of the different resolution of the iPad mini, but why there is no messages on the iPad after the restore?

Sorry but I don't understand why it's not working either. Both iCloud and iTunes backups contain text messages, and while some data can't be restored to a different device (such as camera roll photos), there is no documentation indicating that text messages can't. Since your iPad Mini is new, you should be within your 90-day free telephone support window and could call Apple support to see what they have to say about this. (By the way, if you want to get your iPhone camera roll photos on your iPad Mini, import them to your computer as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then sync them to your iPad Mini by selecting the photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing your iPad Mini.)

Handoff from iPhone 5 to iPad mini

Hi,
I have a problem with handoff option.
I can use this option from iPhone mini to iPad mini (it crashes only in mail).
But Im not able to do it, I don't see any icon on blocked device and also in multitask mode I don't see anything.
I have read all tips and still nothing.
Maybe somebody had the same problem.

Xperia transfer error ios 8.02 from iPhone 5 and iPad mini retina to Z3

I can't for the life of me get my Z3 to transfer data from my iOS devices. After successful pairing an error occurs after a few kbits of the app evaluating what can be transferred. I've tried different cables, resets and uninstalling the app etc. Nothing works. No wifi transfer for iOS 8 yet neither. Frustrating!!

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

iCloud is useful for a lot of things and backing up your iPhone's data is one of them. Included in the data and files that you can safely keep using iCloud are your contacts. The following instructions detail how to transfer contacts from iPhone to computer.
