I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, and want to transfer LogicPro 8 onto it. I have uninstalled it from my old computer, but the new installation on my new computer won't allow me to save the serial number, with the error:
"Licensing Error
The license file will not be written to disk because the user does not have enough privileges"
It lets me use the software, but I have to manually enter the serial number every time.
Any ideas?

Fixed it - I needed admin privileges. So logged in as admin, as all works fine now.

Did you complete your form as well? A form needs to be completed and signed by both parties and submitted to Adobe support via a support ticket. Chat support cannot help, but should have pointed you to the KB article with the instructions.

Where can I download the old version of PS elements and how to transfer the licence to the new machine?

Transfer CS3 licence after an inheritance

Hello there!
Following situation: I've become an owner of an iMac after an inheritance. Since I'm not an apple fan I would like to sell it on ebay. Because the iMac had some Adobe software (like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) I would also like to sell those licences. But am I allowed to do it? Since I've inherited the iMac, I also inherited the licences for the software? Can I just use the following form (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/152/tn_15281.html) to transfer the licences?

Yes. You are allowed to install PSE on two computers at once, but if you don't need it on the first computer anymore, go to editor>help>sign out to deactivate it and free up one of your activations for future use.

Please see Transfer an Adobe product license for information about transferring your CS5 license to another company. I don't believe that there is a fee involved--but both parties need to complete some paperwork, as outlined in that document.

Can I sell Aperture and transfer the licence?

I have decided for a multitude of reasons to sell my copy of Aperture. Can I legally transfer the licence to the new owner?
I have paid for Aperture and have not been able to use it, so I would like to cut my losses and go with another app.

How do I transfer a licence for Leopard to a new computer

Hi.
I have a family pack for Leopard 10.5. All 5 licenses have been used.
However, one of the machines now has a different OS on it, so effectively, only 4 of the licences are in use and I wish to re-use the final licence.
How do I do that please?

If you haven't already, erase the OS from that machine and install it elsewhere. The client version of Mac OS X uses the honor system, and the number or location of installations isn't stored or tracked anywhere.
You won't be asked to provide the serial number during installation or setup.

I own photoshop elements & premier elements, each have 2 licence serial numbers however I bought the downloadable versions rather than from the shelf so when I access my adobe account in order to download onto the mac only windows versions are visible. How can I update so that the mac version is availiable to me?

Transfer of licence has been denied?!

Ok I need some help now! The new owner of the software now has the software Creative Suite 6 and Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements 12. He's now sent me an email he recieved from Adobe telling me to fill out the same forms AGAIN but I've receieved this message saying they have denied my request as my software is from the US?! I bought it from the UK - I don't understand. Please help!

Replace HDD on W510 + clean install and transfer OEM licence

Hi,
I've bought a new thinky W510 and as always I wanted to start with a clean install.
Normally I insert the OEM DVD of W7, type in the OEM licence of the machine and do a clean install.
To my surprise, neither the OEM DVD of W7 nor the OEM licence is present.
How am i suppose to do a clean install or replace the standard HDD by another one (say SSD)?
Since I already paid for a W7 licence, I should receive my licence and install media.

Hi,
As far as I know, no manufacturer ships OEM DVD of any OS today, if you want to do clean installation then you would need to buy installation media which is fairly cheap, it's even (legally) available for download (the link also includes installation instructions). As for license key, it's under the battery compartment.
Before doing clean install, I'd suggest making recovery discs first.

how do i re install elements 12 after i have re installed windows 8. im lead to believe that i must deactivate elements first ??

Well if you are reinstalling to the same machine and the same OS it should be recognised by Adobe's licensing mechanism as the same machine previously licensed. You only need to worry, and contact Adobe, if it won't let you sign in to your Adobe A/c. Note that because of the new sign-in validation, you can actually install v12 on as many machines as you like - only two can ever be simultaneously signed-in though.
