Transfer of purchases to new ID
Okay so as the title states, I wish to know if once I create a new apple ID can I permanently transfer all paid apps from old account to new account, so after the transfer the apps would no longer be availble to old account and only to new account?
Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.

Transfer IPOD purchases to new computer from IPOD nano
I am wanting to download my songs from my IPOD nano to my new computer and it wont let me transfer my purchases to the new computer. I have authorize my new computer and it still won't let me. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? I am not computer savvy so any direction would need to be very specific!!!
No. If you try to sync your iPod with a new iTunes library, it'll erase all content from the iPod and replace it with the content that is in the new iTunes library.
So if you need to move data from your iPod back to your new PC first, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering different methods and software available to assist you with this task.

Transfer past purchases to new account
Hi, I currently live in Germany and will be moving in 1 year to the U.K.
I will be opening a new itunes account when Im there but will I be able to transfer all
of my previous purchases I made in Germany to my new U.K. account?I also sent a support webform because 79,99 euro's worth of Pokerchips were bought by someone using my Apple ID.. I sent it 2,5 days ago, but still no reply.. My Apple ID is also disabled, but I managed to reset it and enter a new password. If Apple does not reply by tomorrow morning (GMT+2) I think I will send them an email. I hoped the Apple support would be somewhat faster than this..

How to transfer old purchases to new computer?
We had a computer with a lot of downloaded movies, albums, singles, etc. and that computer is no longer working so we got a new one and I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get my purchase history onto my new computer without rebuying anything.
Restore it from a backup, put the old computer's hard drive into an enclosure and copy the files off, use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes if they're on an iPod or similar Apple device, or click here and ask.

Wont transfer authorized purchases to new computer
So, my wife got a new computer and I'm trying to transfer all her purchased iTunes stuff on the new computer. The computer is authorized, and when prompted, I selected to transfer purchases. I had 77 purchases, and after 11 it stopped. I tried again, and this time it said I had 66 purchases, but wouldn't transfer anything. Any ideas why or what I can do to fix it before I go to the genius bar? Thanks in advance!
Go to file-devices-transfer purchases. Also go file-devices-back up, and it'll save all your settings then you can restore from back up and start to sync to your new computer.

I recently purchased a new PC. I had backed-up my old computer on Carbonite, so I was able to transfer my iTunes library to the new computer when I downloaded my info from Carbonite, but the playlists are gone. Is there a way to restore my playlists?
Most of my playlists are on my iPod. If I use my iPod to transfer, will the songs double in my library? Also, how do I do this?
Thank you for any & all info you can provide!
JulieIf you had backed up and restored your library properly you should have ended up with the playlists too. Did you import the media folder from the backup drive into a new library rather than restoring the entire iTunes folder?
See also Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I purchased a new computer and transferred itunes to it but now can't get podcasts downloaded after the transfer to sync with device.
So you have these podcasts downloaded and stored in your iTunes library is that correct? However, they will not sync with the device? Are these video or audio podcasts?
How is your Nano currently configured to sync podcasts? You can check this by viewing the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes. To view this tab, plug your iPod in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the Summary tab that now shows to the right. Look for the Podcasts tab along the top and select it. Here you can configure how and what Podcasts are synced.
If you do happen to make any changes from under this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button to sync the updated changes to the Nano.

I shared my itunes account with my daughter for many years while she had only an ipod. She now has her own iphone with her own itunes account. Is it possible to transfer the purchases she made on my account over to her new itunes account?
No. Purchase always remain with the account they were purchased with.

I just purchased a new Ipad with 4G yesterday and I am trying to transfer my purchased apps from my old Ipad to the new one. We have one Apple ID and one Itunes account that we are using.
Connect the old iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and then sync the iPad. A backup will be created when you sync the iPad and your purchased apps should transfer into your iTunes library on the computer. Just to be safe - manually transfer the purchases as well.
After the sync completes - right click on the iPad name on the left side under "Devices" and select - Transfer Purchases. Let the process complete - and just because I am OCD - I would sync one last time. Eject the iPad and quit iTunes.
Then connect your new iPad to the computer and launch iTunes again. You will be given the opportunity to set up as new or to restore from the backup of the old iPad. Choose backup from the iPad - let the process complete - and then follow that with a sync with iTunes to put all of the content that was on the old iPad onto the new one. -
Hi I recently purchased a new mac computer and would like to sync the music off my iPhone to my new mac. However, my phone and my new mac have different apple Ids.The PC which my phone is synced and has the same apple ID but does not let me transfer the music. Home sharing is not working. How do I successfully transfer and sync the music off my ipone 4 to my mac book pro if they have different Apple IDs? Thanks!
What do you mean the PC won't let you transfer the music? Save your entire iTunes folder (this is assuming that you have all your music stored in your iTunes folder) to an external hard drive. Connect that hard drive to your Mac. Copy the iTunes folder to your computer. Hold down the option key while launching iTunes on your Mac. Select the library you just copied when it ask you to select which library you want to open.

I have a mid year 2007 24 inch iMac and will be purchasing a new 27 inch Retina iMac, what is the easiest way to transfer the data and files from my old machine to the new one?
Following up on this thread,
I have a new iMac on the way and my current is from 2008, never had a problem but I am sure there are internal issues that I would prefer not to transfer.
I have no issues other then the slowness in certain programs and that is the main reason to buy a new one.
Programs like numbers and pages seem to take a longer time to open after I update to Yosemite.
I only use 272GB of 500 GB, my memory is 4GB and I am upgrading to 8Gb and bought the 4.0 processor.
Question:
Is there a way to manually transfer items or would that be a waste of time in that if there are issues they could be anywhere and would transfer anyway? -
I am trying to synch my iPhone with my computer, and new Apple ID. My iPhone is synced with another computer, but i have changed the Apple ID on my phone and authorized it on my computer. However, i can not transfer my purchases on to my new account. I have updated my phone, authorized the account on both my phone and my computer. And i do not wish to wipe my phone clean, because there is but one song on this new account. How do i transfer the music on my new account?
All content bought/downloaded from iTunes is tied to the account that downloaded it and it can't be transferred to a different account - so you will need to authorise your old account on that computer if you want to transfer its purchases over.
