Transfer of stock from vendor

Hi,
How can we transfer stock from vendor to our plant?
Movement type 501 cannot be used. Also, 101 movement type cannot be used since the material has not been provided to vendor using 541 mvt type.

Becasuse there are somany ways are there to receive or transfer materials to place to place.
but what u have to do ..?
1.Whether the material , tht u r going to transfer is ur goods , or vendor goods ..etc.
2.If it is vendor goods , u have to purchase goods (possible to receive as free of cost).
Please reply us with clear requirement..

Hello,
Is there any movement type for transfer of stock from Stock-in-transit to Vendor.
For internal transfer from Plant to Plant we follow Purchase Requisition -> Stock Transfer Order (PO Modified) -> Delivery (VL04) -> MIGO (Goods Receipt against Delivery) method.
The problem arises when the actual delivery quantity is less then what is entered in the system (due to clerical error). That is, physically less quantity were dispatched and received at the receiving plant. Now the balance quantity is lying as stock-in-transit. To clear it we are receiving the material and using transfer posting for plant to plant transfer. Though physically there is no transfer of goods. Now we do not want to receive the material instead we want it to transfer from stock in transit to the supplying plant. Is it possible ?

Hi Ashish,
When You issue the stock, the accounting document is posted . There is no accounting entires when you do Goods receipt at receving plant . In case , we are developing to make it happen , I feel it may have impact on the Material Valuation aspects .
Hence, I feel it is better to adopt any of the following 2 options.
1) Cancellation of the entire delivery and make new delivery or 2) Receive the entire qty at the receiving plant and decide what you want to do with the unavl qty . For example in your case of loss of material due to accident , you can scrap the material in the receving plant itself or return the material back to the sending plant.

Transfer Consignment Stock from one customer to Another

Hi,
I want to transfer consignment stock from one customer to another. How can I do this? The other data are the same: material, plant only the customer change. Example:
1 - Material: "A", quantity: 10 UN, plant: 0101 in customer: "ABC" now I want to transfer this material: "A" from customer "ABC" to customer "BCA".

First transfer it to Unrestricted stock and then transfer it customer....
this is because, you can't trasfer because its not your stock till you consume out of it....
till that time its vendor stock only...and you have no right to trasfer from consignment to customer....

I have send some material to a vendor for subcontracting jobbwork.
after as he is delaying the work I want to send the material to another vendor.The first vendor has no problem with this.So how to transfer the material from vendor to vendor.Please give me detailed explanation.

Case1) Process flow IF material is Excisable:
Do 542 of material
Reconcile the challan with that dpcument
Complete the challan
Do 541 for second vendor
Raise the s/c Challan
Case 2) Process flow if material is non excisable
Do 542 of material
Do 541 to the second vendor
OR u can do
542 in MB1B wherein u can put the vendor where u want material to be sent.

Withdraw stock from vendor blocked stock

Hi
There are stocks at vendor in Restricted status.
I wanted to withdraw this stock for scrapping. But movment type 555 do not have option to withdraw from vendor restricted stock.
Can you please help me to remove the stock ? to unristricted/scrapping.

As per u narrated the stock is at vendor but in restricted stock. it means under vendor liabilities.. but now u want to scrapp it correct??
as per my knolwedge the restricted stock should have liabilities at your side then only u can scrapp it. for that u have to move the vendor stock to unres. one and then receive it to scrap.
please find your self and try.

Transfer of Stock from Warehouse to Warehouse

Hi ,
I have the following query.
Warehouse 1 is assigned to Plant 100 and Storage location 10.
But now the client wants to assign Warehouse 2 to Plant 100 and Storage location 10.
As per the requirement I changed the assignment. But now I have come to know that there is stock for certain materials in Warehouse 1. Since the assignment is already done, how can I move the stock from Warehouse 1 to Warehouse 2

I presume by storage location 20 you mean 10
Yes I believe this will work.
1) Assign back W/H1 to 100 / 10
2) Check if there is any stock inconsistency. Whatever stock available in W/H-1 for pl / st locn 100 / 10 should match stock at IM level.
3) Create new st locn 20 (in your last message it is 30) under pl 100 and assign W/H-1 to 100 / 20
4) Transfer all stk in W/H-1 from 100 / 10 to 100 / 20. At the end of activity there should be no stk at st locn 10 and no stk in W/H-1 for pl / st locn 100 / 10. All stock in W/H-1 will be for 100 / 20.
5) Now remove assignment of W/H-1 from 100 / 10 and assign W/H-2 to it.
6) Transfer all stk from 100 / 20 to 100 / 10 back.
At the end of activity stock will be in W/H-2 with pl / st locn 100 / 10.

I guess you have to convert it to unrestricted type before you can transfer, then reconvert it back to blocked.

I am doing complete inspection with UD for a particular inspection lot but my stock in Quality Inspection is not transfer to Unrestricted Used stock.I also tried Movt.Type 321 thereafter the stock can't moved.Pl.suggest me the usefull solutions.Helpfull solution will be awarded.

There is a tick mark in post to inspection stock indicator thereafter inspection lot tab in qa32 or qa11 is not activated.
Secondly, this is a stock item.
Thirdly, No PS module is implemented in my client
I think the user has posted the stock through MB1C with Movt.Type 503 into quality stock.At the time of this posting the 05 inspection type is not activated in QM view of Material Master thatswhy system does not created any inspection lot for this.
After some days,with out stock posting from inspection stock to unrestricted stock,he has activated 05 inspection stock for the first time.
Pl.suggest any possible solution .

kindly help me i am having problems doing transfer posting (mb1b) using movement type 321. because in my stock overview (mmbe) thera are stocks in Quality Inspection, i want that to be trasfered in Unrestricted Stock. that's why i execute transfer posting but there is an error occured doing it so. the error is "change the inspection stock of material 1078 in QM only". how could i make this stocks transfer to unrestricted?
please advise me the correct way to settled this.

I am very thankful for all of you contributing to this thread of mine hope in some other time you can work it out with me again I already done all this resolutions you have mention and I also know that is all the right wya to solve this issue but i dont see my problem exists on the configuration in material tpye allocation because in our business sample the FERTin standard SAP but with us it is customized name, have different code it was not define in TLtype in material allocation for quality inspection (Q), now i know what to do to call our admin to authorized my config there.

Sales from vendor consignement stock

Is it possible to configure sales item catogory and schedule line to automatic withdraw stock from vendor consignement stock?
I will assume that the special stock vendor consignement must be assigned to the item category, but there are no standard item categories in standard SAP with this special stock vendor consignement.
Which movement type in the sales delivery should be used for this ?
Please help with some input on how to configure this scenarioe.

Check for movement type 601 , wheather item category K and special stock K are maintained or not. I suppose for movement type 601 item category K and special stock K are not supported and that is the reason you are facing the error

Stock transfer in Projects from One Comany Code to Another Company Code

Dear All,
In my project scenario, having two wbs elements with two diffrent comany codes & two diffrent business area which falls under one company.
In this i have to transfer project stock from one wbs to another wbs element.
With above mentioned condition is it possible to transfer the project stock.
Kindly confirm me & also give a procedure for transferring the stock.

I think it is possible.. im not sure if we have same scenario but we did something similar in previous project...
reservation is done in one project but the plant indicated belongs to the other project. and the transfer type (goods issuance) done is project to project kind of transfer(Movement type 221Q).. the two projects belong to diffenent company codes and business area but same controlling area..

Selling directly from Vendor consignment

Hi All
How to sell goods directly from vendor consignment ?
I have to build a selling consignment for a retail company.
That company receive garment into vendor consignment stock. One customer can buy some shirts or trousers. In the month, company will issue alot of sale order. At the end month, that company total up consumption and sent to vendor. Vendor issue invoice and that company payment.
My solution like this:
1. Make PO consignment
2. GR into vendor consignment, no FI document here
3. I want to selling directly from vendor consignment, but I can't
Somebody suggested that I have to transfer FG from vendor consignment to another stock before selling. That solution is not suitable because it take more steps and more time, you can take about 10 - 30s per sale order. That company have hundreds of sale order per day, they don't accept that solution.
Please help me selling directly from Vendor consignment

Hi,
You can use the movement type 231 K , it will directly transfer the goods from Vendor Consignment to the Sales order.

Transfer Consignment Stock?

We currently have dealers that will be separating their consignment stock to several locations physically and electronically.

Sen,
I probably do not understand you question correctly, What do you mean by changing the dealer.
You can transfer the consignment stock in storage location 1 to unrestricted stock in ssto. location 1 followed by a normal stock transfer to unrestricted stock in st.location 2 and in to teh consignment stock in st. loc 2. This way you know its not valuated and teh special stock indicator K remains.
If however you state that the quantity is being split between two vendors although teh stock remains in the same place.. you'd need to walk backward, reverse the GR and edit the PO assuming thats how you received teh stock initially in to the St.location and enter a new PO or GR with the new vendor for teh remaining stock.

Issue in WM enabled with HU (Transfer of stock frm Quality to Unrestricted)

We've a scenario in such a way of both WM with HU engagged together.
Transfer of a Material from Quality to unrestricted stock type using transfer posting.
1. in MB1B using mvt 321, stock of Matl A with qty 20 has been transferd from Quality to unrestricted.
2. Due to HU mapped, an OBD for posting change had been created.
3. wrt OBD, matl get packed,(as per packing instruction) which is identified with the HU no.
4. Subsequently a TO had been created and confirmed.
as of this stage the stock view in IM & WM is as follows:
IM
Unres   -
    nil
Quality ---      20
Due to effect of PCN, TO has been created to transfer the stock catogry within the same bin
WM
Bin 1 (Q)    20      ---            922 (Q)       20
922          20     ---           Bin 1            20
5. Then as per the process of completion PGI has to occur so as to nullifying the the -ve stock in 922 storage type
so the stock levels will be
IM
Unres --- 20
Quality --- nil
WM
Bin 1              20
Issue case :
A mannual TO has been created moving the stock from Bin 1 to 922 , without doing step 5 (i.e w/o completion of PGI).
This lead my stock figs as
IM
Unres    -
nil
Quality -
20
WM
922(Q)              20
This also causes storage unit status as " To be Picked". leads to stuck up to proceed further.
We also tried to do mannual TO to transfer the stock from 922 to BIn 1. Due to unavailabilty of the stock system throws error as -ve stock is not possible for 922 Storage type..
Seeking experts to help out this issue if possibly w/o any customising settings.
