Transfer Office files to phone? N95 8gig

Hi i'm probably missing something obvious here but how do i transfer MS Office docs or files to my phone? i can't find anything in the Nseries PC suite, i can't see the phone as a mass media device in My Computer and it doesn't show as an available drive to do a "save as".
Phone came with the standard Quickoffice viewer which is all I want to do, no need to edit them.
thanks

No ;-)
Although Nokia has its roots in Finland, I guess the size of the mobile market is so small that Finland has no priority in that sense. But I think that most new phones that Nokia targets to European markets start to sell within days at the same time in most European countries ?
In fact before Christmas time I had to buy 2 phones from my home town to friends in other towns because in most stores many Nokia models were just sold out. (but those were not new ones, in fact both were the "sports phone", cannot really remember the model number...)

  • Transfer "office" files

How do I transfer "Office" files V.10 from Mac OS 10.6.8 to Mac OS 10.7.4?

If you have saved them as standard .xls files then you should have no problem with them. You can load them with Office 2011's version of Excel. You can also load them with any of the following which are all freeware:
Libre Office is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.
These two suites are similar to Libre Office but not as current or as well-supported:
    NeoOffice
    Open Office

hi there  i was wondering if someone could explain to me how i transfer my music files from the phone memory on my N96 to my memory card as i am unsure how to do this

Go to file manager in office, mark all, options move, move to F memory card. Or connect to PC in mass storage mode and open both drives and drag and drop !
    Good Luck

  • How to read and edit any microsoft office files in...

    Hi,
Anybody know, how to open any microsoft office files (excel, powerpoint, word) in nokia nuron 5230. I would like to edit office files into phone using any mobile office application.
Please let me know and share download link immediately.
    Thank you

To be able to edit files you need to purchase an additional application.
Quickoffice is the app you need and it's available here:

It may also be available in the ovi store.

what Seagate goflex issue is that,.... what bundled software did you install on/for the Seagate?
Does your HD show up in disk utility?
In the future, never use any "helpful software" bundled on a WD drive or Seagate drive. All such software is fluff and nonsense.
On any new drive in the future..., if the box says "Neat software bundled for...." ignore it and format the HD.
Some HD mfg. are trying to entice purchase of HD by 'putting lights and tinsel' on the blank brick of a good hard drive.
Always opt. for the 'blank brick'

  • How do I get the sync of my 3GS on my computer to transfer everything (files, apps, etc.) to my new iphone4?  And then how do I move the sync to a newer computer so I can sync the new phone with the new computer?

How do I get the sync of my 3GS on my computer to transfer everything (files, apps, etc.) to my new iphone4?  And then how do I move the sync to a newer computer so I can sync the new phone with the new computer?
My 3GS is dying and it's synced to an older computer.  I have tons of datafiles as well as apps, music, text messages, etc. that I need to get moved to the new iphone4 I'm getting.  Then I need to move the sync to a newer computer so that I can sync the new phone and new computer.
I understand how to get my apps to transfer to a new pc.  That's not the issue.  It's getting ALL the data from the 3GS to the 4 and then to a new computer.
    Thanks.

Thanks much, that's very helpful for step one (getting old phone onto new phone).  Very clear.
However, I still have the problem of moving to the new computer.  How do I move the sync to the new computer after the new phone is set up?

    Many thanks for any advice.

You don't need conversion programs, iTunes can copy most of your content over to the iPad via the file sharing section, and some apps also support Dropbox, email attachments, transfer via your wifi network. There are a number of apps that you can get that support Microsoft office file (microsoft don't make an app versions of their software) e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word support), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint), and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD

  • Cant transfer files from phone to pc

I am trying to transfer a file from my pc to another pc using my phone
I have a 1 gb memory card in my phone and the file is only 800 kb so there is loads of space. I put the file on my phone and when I try to take it off of my phone and put it on the other pc it only transfers a folder not the file.
I have Nokia PC Suite 6 on both computers
XP on both coms service pack 2 on both
when dragging file off of phone and putting it in the folder I want it in the file is highlighted RED and doesnt work
    what can I do ???

Files are files (a bunch of bits with a name). PC Suite does not care what the files contain, if you use PC Suite to copy the file to one phone, and then PC Suite on another PC to copy the file from the phone.
Something else is going wrong here, and most likely it is just a mistake in using PC Suite, rather than anything else.
Which phone (model) do you have?
And how, exactly, do you copy the file to the phone with PC Suite?
And did you try without PC Suite; connect the phone in USB mass storage (data transfer) mode? That way the phone appears as an USB drive and PC Suite is not involved at all.

  • Transfer number files to android phones

How to transfer number files to android phones

First I would decide what you are going to use to open them on the Android phone.  Then see what you need to do to convert them.  In numbers for iOS you can convert them to excel or pdf.  In numbers for OS X you would have more options including delimted text.
As far as I know, there is nothing for Android that can open a native Numbers *.numbers-tef formatted file.

  • N95 8gig Vs N96

so has anyone passed on the N95 8gig and bought the N96 ?
apart from the extra memory is there any other advantages ?
if anyone here has got one ( N96 ) i'd be interested to know what they think of it .....

It has a newer operating system with newer features.
It can handle more video file formats.
More memory for running programs making it faster.
You can video in the dark because it can use the flash as lights.
It looks a lot nicer than the N95 8GB.
It has mobile TV (country dependant).
    Better quality sound.
But it has one negative, it's battery is smaller than the N95 8GB's battery but it's claimed that it has improved power management. Obviously no one has tested that yet.
If you are looking to buy a phone now get the N95 8GB or the N82, if you are wanting to buy a phone towards the end of the year then you will have to decide if you want more features or better battery life.
