Transfer online number

Hi, I have an online number that I used for a long time, I what to assign this number to another account, is there a way to transfer numbers between Skype users?

Is this still the case with Skype that an online number can not be transfered between personal Skype accounts?
The Skype directions indicate that re-assigning a Skype number to another business account is possible using Skype Manager, but I need to transfer a Skype number to a different personal Skype account.

    Unfortunately Skype doesn't offer a phone support.
    And I'm sorry to inform you that transferring Skype producto from one account to another is not possible.
    What you can do is to try requesting a refund from Customer Service and puchase a new number on other account (you will not be able to buy the same number, as it will be reserved for your first account for 90 days).
    At this point I cannot guarantee that you will receive a refund.
    Customer Service will inform you if you are eligible for that.

  • Transfer expired skype online number

    Hi , my skype online number will expires at the end of this month and I want to transfer/assign the number into another skype account.
    From what I understood here, its not possible to transfer online number from one account to another and I will have to wait until it expires then I can buy it again using my other skype account.
    My question is : Should I wait until the online number subscription expires then buy it again through my other Skype account or is there away around this situation ? 
    And how can I buy it again using my other Skype account without waiting for 90 days after the number expire/deactivate which is the period of time needed for the number to go back again to the available Skype online numbers pool .

    you cannot transfer a Skype Number from one account to another . . . period
    when the number expires it is held for you for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate it -- if an when you reactivate it during this period it will still be associated with the original Skype Name
    if the 90 days expires before you reactivate the number, then the number will be made available to ANYONE that happens to choose it (and that almost certainly WON'T be you)

    Please guide me how to transfer from 'ALL countries online to US /Canada online number' - as it was an error and I don't have to pay $18 where the transaction is still pending - please help me to transfer to US online and to refund the balance or anyother confirmation - thank you!

    1)   I needed an 'online' number to call other skypes accounts ( on their mobiles, on their computer skypes etc.,) - and also I saw the Discount you offer "US & Canada" unlimited $2.99 / month. 
    My kind request ( I will not be traveling outside USA) : Please allow me to have online number at a discounted rate per month ( $2.99 / month instead of $18 for 3 months).
    Two problems here....
    1. The Online Numbers only work to *receive* calls from telephones on your Skype account.  They do nothing for calling phones. 
    2. There is no discount for an Online Number as you describe.  They are either US$ 18/3 months, US$ 60/year, or US$ 30/year if you already have a subscription to call telephones. 
    If you want to receive calls from telephones and make calls to telephones in the USA, you would need two items - an Online Number in the US at the prices I listed above, and some way to pay for the calls you make from Skype to telephones in the US (Skype Credit, or the Unlimited USA & Canada subscription at US$ 2.99/month).  You must have both, in order to be able to make calls to telephones as well as receive calls from telephones. 
    If Skype users you are calling run the Skype app on their smart phones or other devices, you would just call them on their Skype account name.  This would be a free call, not requiring an Online Number or a subscription (or Skype Credit on your account).  You need the subscription (or Skype Credit) only if you are calling those people at their mobile phone numbers, and only need the Online Number if you want them to be able to call you from a telephone and not from Skype. 
     2) transaction date is shown for my order number "626216569" says 6/19/2012 - 02:43 GMT.
    My question: when this will be effective for me to call my relatives and friends who have skype ( I don't have skype so I'm getting a skype 'online' US only number ).
    I hope this helps you to understand my issues - I thought my 'online' number will be ready by this evening , as I did my transaction yesterday ( but it is giving a wrong transaction date too).
    I'm really confused how long to wait to get this 'online' number... and I'm very very excited about this 'online' number that I'm getting , but I don't know when I'm going to get it.
    Again, you don't need to purchase anything if the people you are calling are also on Skype.  Call them using their Skype name, and it is a free call.
    As for what you purchased, you may want to click on the "Support" link above and file a request with Skype Support about that.  I'm not a Skype employee, so I can't look into the status of your recent purchase.

    I was wondering if it was possible to transfer an existing phone number to a skype online number.  We've recently moved from the US to Canada and were hoping to get a skype online number of my wife's cell phone number (which she still has, but is planning to cancel) in order to ease communication with our family/friends back home.

    Hi,
    No unfortunately there is no gurantee.
    Once number expires it's reserved for an account ffor 90 days.
    After that time number goes to general pool and can be purchased by any user.
    Of course if you are fast enough you might be lucky and find it but it's not always the case.

    It's not possible to transfer products from one account to another. But you can request a refund and purchase a new number for the correct account.

    I checked many of the FAQ's at the Skype forum, but I can not find any answer to my question. I really hope somebody can help me out with the following:
    I do have an online number for one of my clients, but I need to stop or transfer this to my new Skype account asap! (my old work is still receiving calls on this online number).
    Can I transfer, block or stop this number asap? (even though I already purchased the number in advance for 1 year). I'm even willing to block the number and buy a new one when possible. (and to loose my already made one year payment for this existing number)

    If you are sharing the same Apple ID registered with iMessage and FaceTime on each device, this is by design and intention for those with an iPhone and other iOS device and/or Mac that don't share the devices or their Apple ID with someone else.
    You or your teenager need to use a different Apple ID registered with iMessage and FaceTime. You can continue sharing the same Apple ID for iTunes Store purchases on each device.

    I have a Manchester, UK online number as part of my Skype subscription. I need to change this to a Bristol, UK number (my relatives have moved home), but after searching the "Online " pages I can't find any option to replace the number with a new one, only options to buy an extra one.  I tried buying a second one (extra expense) in the hope that a "change online number" option might appear but no - I now have two online numbers, one of which is of no use to me. 
    How do I delete the old Manchester one and transfer the new Bristol one to my subscription? In the older versions of Skype software it was easily possible to delete or change online numbers, why is it so difficult now?

    You would have to purchase a new Online Number in Bristol, and just let the Manchester number expire without renewing it.  Online Numbers won't renew automatically, as subscriptions do, so there is no harm in just ignoring it.  There is no option to change an online number.  If you just extended your Manchester number, you may want to contact Skype Support to see if there is anything that can be done to cancel that number and possibly refund the purchase price.  If you've had the number a while, there is probably nothing that can be done there.
    I've had Online Numbers for over 4 years on my Skype account.  I've never seen any options to change or delete them.  On the Skype web site, I can log into my account and extend the numbers beyond their current expiration dates, but there is no way to change or delete them. Online Numbers are separate from your calling subscription, except that you get a discount when purchasing Online Numbers when you already have a subscription.

    Instead of porting a number into Skype, start a Skype Number subscription.
    Anticipating your next question, a few caveats to be aware of so you can make an informed decision: while you can take out up to ten (10) Skype Number subscriptions per Skype account, call forwarding and voice mail function for the Skype account itself, not each individual Skype Number.  What people tend to do who require a facility to separate voice mail and call forwarding for each Skype Number is to start a new Skype account for each Skype Number they need.  The FAQ articles related to Skype Numbers remind us that Skype Numbers can not accept incoming SMS messages; these are routed to a mobile phone number instead.
    There may be other Skype-compatible add-ons as noted in the post, above, however I confess I have not researched anything like this lately.

  • Incoming online number / Skype-to-Skype connection...

    Whever I get an incoming call I frantically click on the green button but I can never connect.  I have divert to my mobile and the caller waits perhaps only three times in ten for the diverted call to connect.  Firstly that is costing me money and secondly I am missing calls from anything with a withheld number (which is usually someone trying to sell me something.
    I have no problem making outgoing calls.
    Any ideas and suggestions anyone please?
