Transfer Photos fm Media Card to Computer

Is there a way to transfer photos from my installed 2-gig media card to my computer, besides emailing the photos?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Assuming you are on Windows:
Article ID: KB29523 How to manually transfer files between a BlackBerry smartphone and a Windows computer
Otherwise, for Mac:
Article ID: KB11850 How to manually transfer files between a BlackBerry smartphone and a Macintosh computer
Another way is to simply remove your media card from your BB device and use a media card reader on your computer (assuming the card is not encrypted, of course).
Good luck and let us know!

  • Nikon D800 raw files taken with Sandisk extreme plus 32GB SDHC card got corrupted. Able to preview them in Lightroom4.4 Library, but not able to import or transfer the files from card to computer. Any ideas on how to save images from Library Window in Lig

Hi, I have shot few pictures on 31st December night in RAW mode using Nikon D800 and Sandisk extreme plus 32GB SDHC card. It looks like card got some memory errors so not able to transfer the files from Card to computer. However I am able to view the pics thru Lightroom ver 4.4 Library, but when I tried to import them, it gives me an error stating that file can't be read.
Is there a way to save the pics from Library window in lightroom overcoming the card read errors ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi SSPRENGEL,
Thank you for your response. Here is the error message I am receiving, I tried with various destination folders in the computer but it still gives the same error:. Just to let you know, I am able to import pictures into these folders from other memory cards.
I am able to finally at least extract the jpgs using the option suggested by elie-d

Do you want to transfer the entire library?  If so just connect the two Macs together and copy the iPhoto Library from Mac A to Mac B and put it in your Pictures folder.  Be sure to rename it if you already have a library in the destination folder so as not to overwrite.
Under no circumstances should you import a library into another library.

    Hi,
    There are few options
    (a) Mapping the printer card reader to your network then access from your computer:
          http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00149194
    (b) Does your computer have a card reader ? If yes, pull the card out from your printer and plug to your computer. If no, a $10 USB card reader will do the job.
    Regards.

  • I cannot transfer my photos from sd card to computer

i have numerous photos and videos on my sd card i can view them all on the phone but when i try to transfer them to the computer all i get is a orange flower thumbnail or a blue box but no photos or videos.
i have tried usb connected from phone to computer
removing sd card and placing into a sd card reader and then putting in computer.
    transferring via moto,
    the cloud
    windows live photo gallery
the card seems to work great in the phone i just cant get any of the pictures or videos to download to the computer.
it does not give me any error messages just flowers or blue boxes where there should be a photo.
i looked through all the discussions but i couldnt find an answer.
    thanks!!!

Have you clicked on one of the "flower" icons?  That is Windows generic icon for a photo/picture.  They may be transferring and you do not realize it.  What is the file size of one of the "flower" files on your PC and phone?
Are you sure the photos and videos are on your SD card and not in the internal memory of your phone.  Since you did not state which phone or OS version I don't know whether you're mounting your phone on your PC as a USB drive, MTP, or PTP.  In any case connect the phone to your PC and look in both the internal memory and external SD card for the DCIM folder and see if your pictures are in there.  Do the same for a Video folder.  Drag them to your PC if found.
Another thought is your photos and videos may be stored in a cloud (Google+, Dropbox, etc.) and may not be on your phone, only thumbnails.

  • How to upload photos from memory card to computer on new Officejet 8500A Plus?

I recently replaced an older HP psc 2410 photosmart printer with a new Officejet Pro 8500A Plus printer.  The installation went fine without error messages, and it prints, scans and copies just fine.  When I insert a memory card into the slot, the printer itself recognizes the files and displays them on the LCD screen and offers to print them.  BUT ... what I want to do is upload the files to my PC (running Windows XP), and I can't figure out how to do it!  There is no HP program that pops up and offers to transfer the photos like with my old printer.   I was also expecting to see the card slots shown as a removeable drive like I did with my old printer, but I don't see them.  Also, my Photoshop Elements program doesn't recognize the card slots either.
Then it dawned on me that my computer doesn't "see" the card slots because it's not connected directly to the printer!  I set this up as a wireless printer and I am totally new to this, so pardon if this is a dumb question... but is there no way to transfer files from the card slot to the PC in a wireless setup??  I'm totally confused...

    Hi,
If your printer is connected thru network or wireless network, you have to access it thru the IP address.
Find out the IP address of the printer. You can do this by clicking on the network icon on the front panel of your printer.
Open Windows explorer and type \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the printer.
You'll see the memory card slot there.
You can do a "map network drive" to it if you want your printer card slot to be listed there permanently.

  • Curve 8530 and photos without media card?

An acquaintance replaced her Curve 8530 with a Droid and wants to get her photos off the Curve. She has never installed BB Desktop nor backed up her photos before. She claims she has no media card in it but I wonder if you can save photos without one and I'm not there to check out her phone myself right now.
So my 2 questions  are 1) If you do not add a micro-SD card, can you still take and store photos? (I wonder if she has a card and doesn't know it). And 2) If it is possible without a media card, how can she download her photos to her computer? (If it's a media card, I know what to do)
    TIA

To answer your questions, yes you can store photos without a media card.  There is a limited amount of memory available in the phone for media storage.  Without a media card, the easiest method would have been for her to email the photos to an account accessed on a PC.  Of course I am guessing that option is probably no longer available.
While I do not have a Curve 8530, I am guessing they came loaded with a micro SD card and your friend just doesn't realize it is there.  I also guess the new Droid has one that could be used to access the 8530 files if necessary.

How can I transfer photos from an iPad 2 onto a windows PC?

To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page -  on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

I recently bought an iMac after many years as a PC user. On the PC I got the opportunity to transfer my photos from the iPhone to the computer; but now I can not find that way of working on my new iMac. Via iTunes I get the opportunity to delete all my picture... Anyone who knows how to do??

On any computer, photos in your camera roll are imported just like any digital camera. On a Mac, you can use image capture(from your applications folder) or iphoto, if installed on your computer.

  • Best method to transfer photos from laptop to desk computer

I typically download most of my photos from my camera to my laptop.  My laptop currently has 8,800 photos that takes up 65GB of space.  The laptop hard drive is rapidly approaching its max.  I want to transfer my laptop photos to my desktop computer and free up some laptop disk space.  What is the most efficient method of doing this?

OK, as I understand it, you have the 8,000 photos on your laptop computer and are using the Organizer on the laptop to access the photos.  You want to wind up with all your photos on your desktop computer's hard drive and also have the Organizer catalog on the desktop computer.  You do not want to access the moved files through the Organizer on your laptop computer, only through the Organizer on your desktop computer.  Do I have it right?
If so, the key question is:
Right now, in the Organizer on your laptop computer, have you attached keyword tags to the photos and/or organized them into albums?
If the answer is Yes, then get an external drive large enough to hold all the photos and the catalog and use Organizer's File...Backup Catalog to CD, DVD or Hard Drive to make a full backup to the external drive.  Then, from your desktop computer, use Organizer's File...Restore Catalog to restore that backup onto your desktop's hard drive.
If the answer is No, (you do not have any keyword tags or albums you want to keep), simply use Windows to move the photos onto an external drive and then onto your desktop computer.  Then create a new catalog in Organizer on the desktop computer and import the photos into it.

  • I can't transfer photos to ipod from my computer

Why I can't syncronise photos to my ipod from my computer? If there's any song, I can't put photos, even with a lot of spaces. What is wrong?

Have you designated a "pictures" folder in your preferences? Have you added pictures to this folder? What happens when you try to add pictures? We're going to need more information about your problem before we can help.

  • HT1229 How do I transfer photos in iPhoto in one computer to another computer?

I want to move photos from iPhoto on my old computer to my new computer.  How do I do it?  I'm thinking I can do it via flikr and then download the photos.  But, that doesn't make a lot of sense.  Any help?  Thanks

That totally depends on what you are trying to do
To move some photos you could use Flickr or email or many other ways
to move your iPhoto library and keep it the same Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formed Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.
What is it you want to do?
