Transfer photos from iphone to mac
why is it such a pain for a simple thing as transfering fotos from an iphone onto a mac device?
the easiest solution that i give to my father who is a mac owner? put them on you windows laptop..
but these are 2 apple devices i hear him say. why is it such a problem to copy paste them . I know there are different ways, to do that
but apple products are made to be simple and easy to understand , an iphone (ios ) is a good example. yet transfering the fotos that eventually
fill up the iphone mem to a mac mini or a macbook is not as straight forward as plug in the iphone, open the folder and copy the files from one place to another.
if windows os can do it , why cant maverik ?
You are presupposing a complication - you said "copy and paste."
There are much, much simpler methods. One that comes to mind is Photo Stream. If you use Photo Stream, the photos from the iPhone would appear almost immediately on the Mac once the iPhone is in a WiFi area.

Transfer photos from iPhone to mac without iPhoto / image capture and preview doesn't see device
Hello. I'd like to transfer photos from my iPhone to my Mac. I read (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083) that iPhoto is the standard application for that; I'd like to do without. I read that image capture (http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/8954/copy-photos-off-iphone-without-iph oto) or even Preview (http://osxdaily.com/2010/07/10/transfer-photos-from-iphone-to-computer/) could help. Neither of them see my iPhone although cable connected and iTunes does. So my question is two: If Preview and Image Capture are ineed supposed to, why don't they? And is there any other way?
ThanksI dont like iphoto so the easiest way to do it is using image capture, just plug in your iphone launch image capture from your applications folder and import all images or just selected images into any folder you want.
Moreover, you can follow this page about how to transfer photo/pictures from iPhone to Mac, which give an easy guide to figure out this problem.
Have a good luck! -
HT204053 transfer photos from iPhone to mac using iCloud?
transfer photes from iphone to mac using icloud ?
Connect the iPhone to your Mac and launch iPhoto. It will detect the photos and indicate those that are not already in the library so you can import them.
Be careful in letting iPhoto delete the photos from the iPhone. It's best to delete them manually from the iPhone so you have more control over what gets deleted.
Once you have your iPhone and iPhoto setup with Photo Stream to automatically import all new photos taken with your iPhone it'll be a seamless transfer:

Best Way to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Mac
Okay, here's my situation.
I installed Snow Leopard and the installation window told me I had to change my volume scheme. Not knowing why the button to allow me to do this was grayed out, I called Apple. The woman I talked to had me boot from the Snow Leopard disc and perform that action. It worked, but what she had be do seemed to delete my hard drive. Because what did say "Macintosh HD" now said "Untitled 1".
I finished the installation and came to find out that hard drive files were gone.
Of course Apple can't be blamed, because I should've had my computer backed up. (Ehh. I'm still very angry though..)
Anyways, I found a nice program to transfer the music from my iPhone to my Mac, but not one single reliable to one to transfer photos.
HELP! I really need to get these photos (amount: 2,000+) on my computer so I can sync it.I assume these photos are NOT in your camera roll, correct?
If that's the case:

Of course you realize that the photos you synced to your phone were "optimized" for viewing on the iphone & thus were reduced in size. -

What on Earth does rebooting a computer have to do with importing photos? -
Hi, I need to transfer photos from iphone to mac. My mac can 'see' my iphone with iphoto open, but the box says there are no photos to download. Could anyone help me please? This has never been a problem before (it was fine about 2 weeks ago). I've tried turning both devices off and have spent a couple of hours trying to search for this problem on the internet. I can't remember when I updated to OS 7.1 but I guess that was recently; could this be the problem? Thank you so much.
This has nothing to do with iOS 7.1

You don't. File transfer, by Bluetooth, has never been supported on any iPhone. To import pics/videos in your camera roll, read here:

Transfer Photos from iPhone to PC:
On a Windows PC the easiest way to get pictures from your iPhone is to just use Windows Explorer, but there’s two ways to go about this:
Plugin your iPhone to the computer without iTunes running
Wait for a popup asking you what you want to do with the device
Select “View Content”
Find your photos through the folders that are displayed
Copy in Windows as usual
If your iPhone is already plugged into your PC, you can try this method:
Plugin your iPhone to your PC
Open “My Computer”
Find your iPhone, it will appear as any other camera would
Open iPhone to find your Photos
Select the pictures you want to copy to your computer and copy/paste them into the desired location on your PC

How do I transfer photos from iPhone photo library?
How do I transfer photos from iPhone photo library?
I had my iPhoto library and Time Machine Backup on an external drive on my Mac Mini - not a clever strategy I know! I recently synced my photo library successfully with my iPhone 5 but now the external drive has died and my most recent backup (on another external drive) is 5 months old. Can anyone advise what is the simplest/quickest method of transferring these photos back from my iPhone photo library whilst ideally maintaining the 'events' folder type structure? Preview doesn't do it as this only allows me to copy photos taken with the iPHone, not the ones in the library.Do you have iPhoto on your iPhone?
Then this should work - use iTunes to sync your iPhoto Library back:
