Transfer photos from ipod to pc -HELP

  Windows XP
I am about to head overseas and purchased the opid video espcially so I can transfer photos from my camera to store them on my ipod. But I have tried to transfer them from the ipod to the computer and do not seem to have any success. can any one please help???

After experimentation, I found a solution:
1) On your computer create a folder (I put mine in "My Pictures") with a unique name, e.g. "computer to iPod".
2) Copy photos from whatever other directories you have into this new folder ("computer to iPod").
3) Start iTunes and connect your iPod Touch and click on the device on the left side of the window.
4) Select the "Photos" tab at the top of the screen
5) Check "Sync Photos from", and then select "choose folder" from the drop-down-menu.
6) Browse through the folders until you find your new folder ("computer to iPod"), and select it.
7) Selct "Apply" in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.
8) The select "Sync" in the same location as "Apply".
9) Then go to Photos on your iPod Touch and the "Album" ("computer to iPod") should be there with your pictures in it.

  • Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation

Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation & OS is 4.2.1) to PC? I am struggling a lot. The OS cannot be upgradable beyond 4.2.1
I am wondering if there could be many other ways to transfer the photos like:
    1. with the help of any android app
    2. ipod touch to iphone/ipod latest version
    3. any 3rd party free softwares (there are paid 3rd party softwares but I dont want to invest)
I did try some of the options:
    1. I could emailed only 6 photos in one email (I have almost 800 photos and would be time consuming.
    2. I'm trying to access my google account on my ipod but it keeps coming up with "oops! your browser seems to have cookies disabled..." My cookies are not disabled. Safari is the only browser for ipod touch and could not be able to installed not only any new browser but also any iphone apps. Updates for the existing apps not possible at all. So this option of uploading the photos on google drive is ruled out.
Anybody is there to help me out? Sorry for such a long inventory.
    Thank you!

If they are in the iPod' Saved Photos album then:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView

how do I transfer photos from iPod to Airbook ?

The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos.  So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

If they did happen to be full resolution photos, see this Apple support document.

See here for photos taken with the iPod: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If these were photos that you synced to the device via iTunes, then you'll need to download third party software to help get them off your iPod.

  • How do you transfer photos from iPod 5 to PC

Trying to download photos from iPod 5 to my PC but with no luck! Can any one help?

    Try here:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
That only works for photos/videos in the iPod's Camera Roll album. Those are the ones taken by or saved to the iPod.
If that is the case what happens when you try? Error message?
    Maybe

  • How to transfer photos from iPod to iPhoto

I was in the iPhoto discussion but was asked to come here so here I am. I accidentally deleted all my photos from iPhoto but the good news is that all the same photos are in my 60gb iPod Video. How can I transfer them back to my iPhoto? I'm afraid to connect my iPhoto to my iTunes for fear that all my photos from my iPod would be deleted. What should I do? Please help me!!!!!

If you know how to do this would you be able to show with pictures as steps? That would be much appreciated. If you can't that is fine.

  • How can you transfer photos from iPod Nano to new iMac?

My friend has an ipod nano. Here's a photo, not sure what gen. it is.
He had a PC that no longer works and has no data left on it. His original iPod Photos were stored on that PC that no longer works.
He has since purchased an iMac and is running Lion OS X, all up to date.
The problem: He NO LONGER has the ORIGINAL PHOTOS, only the ones on his iPod Nano, that used to work with his PC, which no longer functions.
He would like to copy the photos stored on his iPod Nano, to his new iMac.
Using finder, he went to Device, then clicked PHOTOS and dragged the folder to his desktop. It said there was 1.43 GB of content.
However, all that was saved to the desktop was (see other photo) Photo Cache, Photo Database and Thumbs. There are no photos at all. What is he doing wrong? Thanks.

There are a number programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more. Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
Tansee iPod Transfer Photo Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
TouchCopy Mac and Windows Versions (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have full resolution copies of the photos on the iPod have a look here: Apple Knowledge Base article - Use Disk Mode to copy photos from iPod

  • How to transfer photos from iPod classic (earlier version) to my mc

I just brought a new imac and I am trying to transfer my photos from my ipod classic earlier version (software version 1.3, 30GB) to my iMAC.

The photos syned to the iPod are very low res versions of the original photos, optimized to fit on the iPod's small screen while taking up as little space in storage as possible.  They are stored in a single special database file.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer them to the Mac, and if you could, they would look bad blown up to a larger size on the iMac's screen.
There is a setting on the iPod's Photos screen in iTunes (a checkbox) that says Include full-resolution photos.  IF that setting was checked when you synced the photos to the iPod, you can Enable disk use and find the originial full res photo files in the Photos folder (on the iPod).
Otherwise, you should transfer the original photo files from your previous computer, if possible.

  • HELP.HOW TO TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM IPOD TO G5 (thumbs)

    Hello,
I have a problem. All my photos were transfered from my G5 to my iPod Photo by iTunes (I think), then a few days later my G5's hard drive failed and I lost everything. But I found my entire photo collection in my ipod, but when I try and open it I can't. It is in a format that is not recognized. I see the photos fine on the ipod. How can I get them back onto the mac?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    G5 Quad, G5 dual 2.7, G5 Dual 2.0, G5 Dual 1.8 PB 171.33mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.4)   All have more than 1 GIG RAM

    You have 2 options:
    1. Open iPhoto and connect the iPhone and you'll be prompted to import
    2. Open Image Capture and connect the iPhone and you'll be prompted to import
You might not have iPhoto, but you definitly have Image Capture. But iphoto is the better programm also to store and organize photos.

  • Transfer photos from ipod

When I connect ipod to laptop it shows photos only from saved folder of ipod..while I want to import all the pictures from my ipod... Please help

I'm afraid I can't think of any way of getting around this, except to transfer the photos in stages back from the iPod to the memory card and thence to your computer. I don't know how big your memory card is, but if it's a 1GB card, you will have a maximm of about 18 transfers to do this way. It shouldn't take too long. Then you can hook your iPod up to your PC and do the formatting it requires when you first install it.
I know this is shutting the door after the horse has bolted, but I wouldn't have used an iPod to store the pictures anyway. The iPod is really degined as music player, and just happens to do photos as well because it has a hard drive inside.
If you want something that is specifically designed to store your photos to while you are away from your computer, I'd recommend something like one of the Voxdrive portable storage devices. They come in sizes of 20GB ($159.99), 40GB ($174.99), 60GB ($199.99) or 80GB ($245.99) and have an integrated 6 in 1 card reader and a USB 2.0 connection so that they can be connected to your computer when you return home to download all your precious photos. It's rechargeable and can also run off the mains. It's also much cheaper than buying an iPod (for equivalent storage) if you aren't going to be using the iPod for anything else, and you don't have to buy any special and hugely overpriced iPod accessories like that Belkin adapter you used.
