Transfer photos/video from my 6085 to my p.c.

Hi Folks
I've been trying for the last few days to transfer some photos taken on my 6085 to my p.c. via the nokia connectivity cable CA-53, plus to down load the p.c. suite to now avail.
Infact the suite that I downloaded from this website this morning told me it didn't recognise the 6085!!
Please help as I desperately want to be able to e-mail some friends with pictures on my phone!
Many thanks and best wishes
t x

I just bought a 6085 and find the same problem. Did you ever figure it out? When it goes into my PC I can only view them through the Nokia viewer. I can not send them e-mail. or print them out. HELP

  • Transfer photos/videos from MacBook Pro to External Hard Drive (not iPhoto)

I've read all the other threads regarding how to transfer photos from iPhoto to an external hard drive (i.e., format your EHD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)), however, I do not believe my situation applies.
In short, I download new photos/videos from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro twice - in two distinct methods.  The first method (and the one I favor) is to use the Preview Application to download photos to the MyPictures folder.  Once this is done, I revise the name of each photo so that I can tell not only the date but also the event.  Once this is done, I then also download the same photos to my iPhoto Library via iPhoto but I don't make any revisions to the file names (I don't know why I continue to download photos into my iPhoto Library since I don't like iPhoto, but I guess I feel like it is a "backup" of sorts).
My problem now is that my internal hard drive is filling up and I must transfer some photos to an External Hard Drive (EHD).  I thought the simplest solution was to transfer my iPhoto Library since I don't really use it anyway and many people advise to simply format my EHD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled).  However, if I do that, my understanding is that I will not be able to then transfer the files to a PC, if I decide in the future to do so.  The solution, as suggested by others, was to then format my EHD as "ExFAT".  However, if I do that, my understanding is that iPhoto will not function properly.
So my questions include the following:
    1.  Is there any harm in simply deleting my entire iPhoto Library from my internal hard drive to free up space since I believe I have been downloading all my pictures in a separate location anyway (MyPictures folder)?  Or will deleting my iPhoto Library somehow delete these other photos (even though they are not named similarly)?
    2.  If I decided that transferring my iPhoto Library to a Mac OS Extended (Journaled)-formatted EHD was the best solution, what would my options be if in the future I wanted to transfer the photos to a PC?  Is that option lost forever?  Or could I somehow transfer the photos from the EHD to the MacBook Pro, then re-format the EHD to ex-FAT, copy back the photos from the MacBook Pro to the ex-FAT-formatted EHD and then transfer the photos/videos to my PC?  Is there an alternative better solution?
    3.  Any other suggestions?
    Thank you

1 - no - if you do not like or use iPhoto then yu have no need for the iPhoto library - it is sefl contained and deleting it will not affect anything except iPhoto
2 - you can export photos form iPhoto to any format drive - it is only the iPhoto library that has drive format restrictions
Reformatting a drive totally erases it so you can not simply change the format of a drive without removing everything on it
3 - deciede what you want  - if you use iPhoto then it has no cross platform capability and nothing you do in iPhoto is directly of use on a PC - you have to export from iPhoto to a volume that a PC can read
Since you do not like or use iPhoto and it will not do what you want I have no idea why you are messing with it at all

  • Transfer photos videos from IPhone to external hard drive

I am growing  older rapidly from frustration.   I would like to transfer photos and videos from my IPhone to an external hard drive
that is plugged into my I Mac.   Photos are already in IPhoto but I want to directly transfer again to the external hard drive.
Then I will feel more secure in deleting photos and videos of great grandkids from my I Phone.   There is so much on there that
it will not allow me to take any more pics.   At age of two I do not want to miss anything new as she is learning.
I tried in past to sync and it transfered pics from my I Mac to phone so now I have couple of thousand pics on phone that do
    not need to be there.
Thank you for your support to whomever will answer for me.

This is what I have done so far and stuck again.
I opened Image capture plugged in IPhone.  Device brought up camera roll pics only.
I was able to send them to the external hard drive.  Now they have green checks marks.  I cannot seem to remove them. Don't want to delete them yet to put into folder for having prints made..
Devices showed IPhone but would only show  camera roll I have two other folders and cannot seem to go to them to show up on the device  one is Photo library has 300+ pics and
last import folder.   I would like to take the 300 also from the Photo library and also copy them or move them to the external hard drive.
What step am i missing , please help.
    thank you

  • Does anyone know how to wirelessly transfer photos/videos from iphone to iPad?

I need help transferring photos and videos from my iphone to my ipad.  Any suggestions?

If they were synced from iTunes you can use that.  If they were taken with the iPhone you'll need to download thme to a computer, and then sync them up to the iPad.
Alternatively you can use Photostream to make them available to the iPad, or use an online service such as Dropbox, or Photobucket to view them on the iPad

  • Need help in transferring photos /videos from windows PC to iphone 4s

    Hi ,
I have tried to transfer photos/videos from my windows7  laptop to iphone4s . It is creating two folders in the iphone4s.
For ex:  i have a folder called  iphone_backup in my laptop.  I have selected the folder from sync photos from in itunes photos section. Hit the button sync to transfer photos from PC to iphone4s.    It did transfer my photos to the phone, but it created two folders with names  iphone_backup , photo librarary.
Why there is a duplication  ?

There is no duplication.   This is how the iphone handles photos.
Just as one book can be in the public library and that exact saem book can be in the fiction section, a photo is in the photo library ( with ALL other photos synced to the iphone) and that exact same photo can be accessed from the individual folder.
If you wanted to show your family a slide show of all of your photos, then you would use the photo library.  if you wanted them to see only Christmas pics, then you would use the folder.
There are not two pictures, simply two places from which to access the same pic.

  • Transfer photo/video files from iPhone 5 to MacBook?

I was able to complete steps #1 and #2 of the iTunes help offered under "Transfer files from your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer" but for step #3, "Below File Sharing..."  there was no File Sharing menu or ability to choose the Photos app in my iPhone 5.  Where should I look for that or is there more de-tailed guidance available elsewhere?

  • How do I transfer photos/videos to my pc

I am a first timer. How do I transfer my photos/videos to my pc

If it's an iPod touch, then when you plug your iPod into your computer, if an "autoplay" menu doesn't show up automatically where you can access the photos/videos on the iPod, then go into "My Computer" and a folder should show up that has the name of your iPod that you named it when you first set it up in iTunes. Click the iPod folder and double-click the "Internal Storage" folder that should come up afterwards, therein you will be able to access the folders that which have the photos/videos on the iPod and from there, you can cut/copy the photos/videos to your PC. (Note: if you cut them from the folder, they will erase those photos/videos from the iPod)

  • Is it possible to transfer music/videos from one itunes account to a separate one?  I need to give my music and videos that I bought a grandchild to her for her ipad.

Is it possible to transfer music/videos from my itunes account to a grandchild (she will need her own account)  I bought her music and videos and let her play with my ipod touch.  Now she has an ipad.

No you cannot transfer purchases from one account to another account. Apple does not allow it and never has allowed it.
She can use you Apple ID on the device and switch between her ID and your ID, but that can cause problems at times and can become a bit of a pain.

  • Is there any way to transfer photos, music from my PC to my new iPad(3)?

Is there any way to transfer photos, music, from my PC to my new iPad(3)?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
