Transfer pictures from an Original IPad to a new IPad

After doing a backup on my Original IPad and a restore to my news IPad, pictures that I had installed in ITunes on a Widows computer with a CD did not transfer.  Apple Phone Tech. says that I have to transfer pictures by emailing them to myself.  Too many to do this.

Photos that were synced from a computer aren't included in a backup, so a restore won't copy them over.
If you don't have them on your computer for syncing to your new iPad then there are third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them via you wifi network either to your computer or your new iPad. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to an iPad, so if you copy them to your computer then they may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

One way is to import them to your computer first as described in: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
Then sync the selected photos to the other device using iTunes as described in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
An easier way, that I haven't tried is via iCloud: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/

How can you transfer picture from a old iPhone to a new iPhone

You can copy them to your computer and sync them to your new phone:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
Or you can restore your new phone from the backup of the old one, but only photos from the camera roll will be restored on your  new phone.

Are these photos you took with your old iPhone?  If so, import them to your computer (as they should have been in the first place).  Once on your computer, synch them to your new iPhone.

We want you to be able to easily manage your content, dlh5295. Backup Assistant on the Brightside would typically be used for contact transfer only. What is happening with Backup Assistant? Do you have a memory card in the device? What model is your new device?

  • Transfer pictures from laptop to ipad

windows 7 with photoshop extended updated to 2014 new addition. i have o idea how to transfer my pictures from y laptop to my ipad with adobi photoshop touch on it. Is this possble and how, in simple terms please as i am not a professional...all help gratefully received...norma 51

iPhoto will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad that weren't synced from a computer originally i.e. those taken with the iPad, transferred to it via the camera connection kit or saved from emails/websites . Photos that were originally synced from a computer can be copied to a computer via third-party apps such as Simple Transfer (but as photos are 'optimsed' when they are synced to the iPad, any copied back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on the computer)..
An iTunes backup also doesn't contain synced photos, only those photos in the Camera Roll/Saved Photos album.

  • If I get an iPad 2, can I transfer stuff from my original iPad?

I have an original iPad. If I get an iPad 2, is there a way to transfer things such as apps, Apple ID information, songs, pictures, etc.? Or do I have to start all over again?

Yes you can, by connecting your new ipad to your computer. and then enable syncing apps in itunes.
    Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure there's one or the other in most US households.
That being said, as Thom_D said, there's no need to post your full name and location in any public forum.
I've asked the mods to remove that personal info.

  • How do i transfer pictures from my old iphone to my new iphone?

i just got a new iphone 4s today, after having a regular iphone 4... i am just wondering how to transfer picture, aps, and music to my new iphone 4s.

All photos on your iPhone 4 that were transferred from your computer should remain on your computer and can be transferred to your iPhone 4S in the same way - via the iTunes sync/transfer process which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone 4S sync preferences with iTunes.
Photos/videos in your iPhone 4 Camera Roll can and should have been imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. After the photos/videos have been imported by your computer, they can be transferred to your iPhone 4S as with any other photos/videos - via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
All 3rd party apps on your iPhone 4 should be in your iTunes library on your computer. The apps can be transferred to your iPhone 4S via the iTunes sync/transfer process which is selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone 4S sync preferences with iTunes.
The first time you connect a new iOS device to iTunes on your computer that is used to sync with another iOS device, you should be prompted to transfer the backup for the other iOS device to the new iOS device. Were you not provided this prompt?

  • How do I transfer pictures from an old iPhone to a new one?

I'm soon going to switch to an iPhone 5S from an iPhone 4S and I want to know the easiest way to transfer my pictures. If this helps, I have a 2012 iMac with iPhoto and OSX Mavericks installed.

This worked for my photots but half my videos in my camera roll didnt transfer over. I'm using a windows 8 PC and i'm transfering from a 4S to a 5S. Can someone tell me how to transfer them?
I tried acessing from "My Computer" but that didnt work and I tried using icloud, that didnt work, I tried messaging them to myself by text and email but hey're too big. Any solutions?

  • How do you transfer pictures from old iphoto library to a new one?

So my iphoto wasn't working, did the whole delete the plist and make a new library pressing "alt". But now i want to know how i can transfer all my photos into the new library, or some how fix the old library (because i really don't wanna move everything into a new library).
    please someone help me,

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards

  • HT201302 I recently purchased the new iPad Air 2. The pictures from the first iPad air did not transfer. How do I get them to transfer?

I Re cry bought an iPad Air 2 and the pictures from my original iPad air did not transfer. How do I get the pictures to transfer?

Restore the backup of the old iPad to the new one.   That should transfer camera roll photos.  If it didn't and you still have the old iPad, back it up to your computer using iTunes and restore that backup to the new iPad.

How do I transfer pictures from my iPhone 5s to my new iPad?

One way is via the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD821ZM/A/lightning-to-usb-camera-adapter
Another is via an App like Photo Transfer which can transfer photos between the iPhone and iPad via WiFi.

For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
