Transfer pictures from camera to pc

When i view picturres after they have been transfered to my PC they appear way to large , is there a setting in the camera that will resize them before they are transfered ? Canon Power Shot SX700

Just to expound on what Steve said:
Yes, there is a setting in your camera that will allow you to take smaller pictures, but in general you don't want to do that because you throw away a lot of potentially useful information.  It's best to do it on your computer, if needed, so you always have the original high resolution image.  In case you wanted to print, for example.
Most monitors are much lower resolution than what comes out of your camera (this is about to change), so if you look at it at 100% (every pixel on your sensor is represented by a single pixel on your monitor) the image is very big.  However, the viewer you use to look at the photos should allow you to view the image at screen size.  I actually use the Windows Photo Viewer for scanning through photos, as it's very quick.  You can zoom in to 100%, but when it first opens a photo is will be at screen size.  I don't know what program you're using but perhaps try the Windows Photo Viewer (right click, "open with", Windows Photo Viewer).
Digital cameras are indended to work with some sort of photo processing program(s) on a computer.  I know some people don't want to deal with this step, and just want their photos off their camera, but it's the price we pay for instant images.  They do make programs that simplify this process significantly for those inclined.  They often have single "auto correct" buttons that will try to bring out colors and whatnot in an image.  Or you can push buttons to see how various styles look.  And finally you can shrink the size of your image if you want.  I recommend Picassa for this, but there are many, many programs that will do the same.

  • Transfer Pictures from Imported Album to Camera Roll

How much ever i search the net i havent found an answer for this problem. I seem to fall in to a vicious cycle of coming back to square one. Please help me with the following question please.
1). I am using ipad with camera connection kit for transferring pictures to my ipad.
    2) i have dropbox and MSN Onedrive for storing pictures.
    3) both dropbox and onedrive sync pictures only from camera roll ignoring the other pictures which are vital too.
    4) all the wifi transfer photosync and a core or free aps available in the appstore ddint solve my problem.
Is there a way to transfer the pics to camera roll without going through a tedious process? Why cant there be a simpler solution?
Only when i transferthe pics to camera roll that i can sync them wi either dropbox or onedrive.
    PLEASE SUGGEST AN IDEA
    thank you in advance.

While using Camera Connection Kit to transfer pictures from Memory Card to Ipad the pictures in the memory card gets saved to a separate folder called "Imported Pictures" instead of saving to Camera Roll of Ipad which is the default sync folder for dropbox and onedrive. Its not possible to move the imported album pictures to Camera Roll that easily or very simply. The process is complicated or requires a paid application. My question is whether the pics can be directly saved to camera roll or is there a way to move at a bulk all the pics from imported album to camera roll so that the sync with dropbox and onedrive is easier and simpler.
    Thank you

How do I transfer pictures from my iPhone 5s to my new iPad?

One way is via the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD821ZM/A/lightning-to-usb-camera-adapter
Another is via an App like Photo Transfer which can transfer photos between the iPhone and iPad via WiFi.

I can transfer pictures from my SD card when I don't have transferred it to my pc first. But why can't I transfer from pc via SD and then into my iPad2? I'm using Apple camera connection kit.

If you are adding the photos yourself, then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it with filenames exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus their file extension i.e. in the same format as if your digital camera had written them.

How can I transfer pictures from my computer to my ipad?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import.

how do i transfer pictures from my ipad 2 to my pc

For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

Problem transferring pictures from my camera memory card to my computer.  When asked where to save them, it only gives me the option of saving to "Snapfish".  There is no option to save the pictures to my computer???

I have a new HP Photosmart 7529e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination.  I'm using Windows 7.  Nothing at the computer end acknowlages that the card is in the printer slot. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?
