Transfer pictures from iphoto?

I am trying to transfer pictures from iphoto'09 to a memory stick and have found no way to do this.
Can anyone help?
Thank you.

Select the pic(s) you want to export and go File -> Export and export them to a Folder on the desktop. Copy that to the memory stick.

Connect the iPad to your MBP and open iTunes.  In the photos section of your iPad in iTunes you can choose selected albums, Events or the entire iPhoto library to sync to your iPad.

  • My photostream won't work when I try to transfer pictures from Iphoto?

My pictures won't appear on photostream when I try to transfer them there from iPhoto. It should be as simple as just draging the pictrure to the photostream folder right? But it does not work, how do I do? Or is there any other way to share your pictures from the computer to your iPhone?

Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.  Then log back in and re-enable, respectively.  That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • How do I transfer pictures from iPhoto to an iPhone 5 without using iTunes?

Hey there. I have version 10.5.8 on my macbook, but an iPhone 5, which basically means I can't open my iPhone in iTunes. However I would like to transfer some photos from iPhoto onto my phone. Does anyone know how this is possible? Thanks so much!

That will work, if your Mac is supported, not all Macs with Yosemite will support Air Drop to the iPhone:
AirDrop between OS X and iOS is supported by the following Mac models:  (From the Mac Help)
    MacBook Air (2012 or later)
    MacBook Pro (2012 or later)
    iMac (2012 or later)
    Mac mini (2012 or later)
    Mac Pro (Late 2013)
AirDrop to iOS devices requires iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7 and the Lightning connector.AirDrop between two Mac computers is supported by the following Mac models:
MacBook Pro (late 2008 or later)*
MacBook Air (late 2010 or later)
    MacBook (late 2008 or later)*
    iMac (early 2009 or later)
Mac mini (mid 2010 or later)
Mac Pro (early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or mid 2010 or later)
    * The MacBook Pro (17-inch, late 2008) and the white MacBook (late 2008) do not support AirDrop.

  • Transfer pictures from iphoto to picture frame via bluetooth

I have just bought a Sony picture frame which has a bluetooth dongle. I am looking to find a way to send pictures directly from iphoto '09 to the picture frame. Any ideas?
I can do it one picture at a time by sending each file by selecting the send file option from the bluetooth menu on the desktop, but i have to know the file name to do that. It would be so much easier if i could select the pictures in iphoto and them just send via bluetooth to the end device which is the picture frame.
    Thanks for any help

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
When you go to send a file using Bluetooth File Exchange that opens a standard Open... dialogue, and on the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

  • Transfer pictures from iPhoto to Apple Mail

Ok maybe it's me. But when I sue iPhoto to send pictures by email I select the photos I want in iPhoto, click the "send by email" button and it opens Apple mail.
All that's cool. The problem is that it puts the pictures in the body of the email "which is ok some times" but most times I want to just send them as attachments, which they are not when they are in the body.
So what do I need to do?
    KMW

I don't have the latest version of Mail but in the version I use if you right clicked on an attached photo, you have a choice of changing it to and icon rather than the photo.

  • I have an Ipad2 and cannot remember how to transfer pictures from my IPad to IPhoto on my Mac computer.  Could someone advise?

I have an Ipad2 and need to transfer pictures from it to my IPhoto app on my Mac computer.  Can you provide me simple instructions.
    Charlotte Eggers

To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page -  if you connect the iPad to your Mac and open iPhoto then the it should recognise the iPad as a camera and allow you to copy those photos off.
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • How do I transfer pictures from my iphoto to an external harddrive to free up space?

How do I transfer pictures from my iphoto to an external harddrive to free up space?

To get photos off of your Mac the solution is to run your iPhoto library (and probably iTunes library) on an external drive. The drive must be formatted Mac OS extended (journaled). Quit iPhoto and drag your iPhoto libeprary to a properly formatted external drive, depress the option key, launch iPhoto and use the select library window to select the new location. Fully test it and then delete the one on the internal drive. Test one more time before emptying the trash. Verify that your back up software is backing up the external drive.
