Transfer playlist from mac to iphone

I've created a playlist on my MBP that won't show up on my iphone and several playlists on my iphone that aren't showing up on my MBP. I've got some setting among iCloud messed up, but can't figure out which.

There are a variety of methods:

I need to transfer playlists from my old iphone into itunes so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads but have not found answer. help!

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

When syncing music, make sure to select, sync selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres in the music tab.

How can I transfer music from Mac to iPhone WITHOUT iTunes?

I'd like to transfer (not sync, just transfer) songs from my Mac to my iPhone. How can I do this without going through iTunes software?
I know there was another software I used to do this with... something like iFun or iExplorer; but neither of those will transfer from iPhone to Mac. I've searched the web several times for such software, came up empty.

Yes, I know that. That's why I mentioned I have two computers. I also know you can redownload songs from iTunes. The songs don't come from iTunes. I don't know why you wish to devolve my query into a legal battle (like I'm sure you're a copyright lawyer for the RIAA) but number one, who said they were copyrighted songs? Not me. Number two, even if they were, yes the copies are mine if I choose to make copies. At least in my country, that's the case. That fact does not change if I lose the original, if the original source is unplayable, or if it burned up in a fire. Are you an international copyright attorney too? If so, you're not a very good one. And I posted a simple query. I didn't post it to be told to buy a different phone. If you can't answer the query, then why are you here? Just to argue for iTunes and copyrights? I already mentioned that there is software that exists to do what I want, so I obviously do not need to buy another phone. I just want better software at this point.

In the newest version of iTunes, how do I put the playlists from my Mac onto my iPhone 5. It's probably staring me right in the face, but so far I have't figured it out.

As you can see there are checkboxes on the left of all playlists, check the ones you want and click sync

You can't...
You might be able to copy the message chat files from the iPad to the iPhone using the iExplorer app, but it may not work if you're not on the same iOS version.
However, the messages should sync up on their own, due to the iCloud function but if not, just reference the iPad until you don't need to anymore.
You can use iExplorer and put the message history into a pdf and then put that PDF on your phone.

There is no way to transfer conversations that have already taken place. However, if you log into the Messages App on your Mac with the same Apple ID as on your iOS devices, all future conversations will sync between your devices.

Can't transfer apps from Mac to iPhone using iTunes

I need to transfer an app from my Mac to my iPhone because the vendor bodged an update. I've deleted the broken app from the iPhone and now want to sync apps with my Mac as it has a working copy of the app. However when I go to the syncing screen there are no apps visible:

Don't know when the problem started as I normally keep the apps up to date on each device over wifi.

Apps you purchase from the Mac App Store can only run on the Mac OS X.
Apps purchased from the iTunes store run on iOS based devices such as your iPod.
In other words, you can't run the game for your Mac then copy it to your iPod. Two differenct operating systems.

i was able to transfer all my music from my mac to our pc but how do I transer playlists? I don't want to have to remake them.

Usually all you need to do is copy the entire iTunes folder from the Mac to the PC, then connect to the library that you have imported. Either you put it in the usual location of <User's Music> or you hold down shift as you start iTunes in order to choose another library.
If the library on the Mac was initially created some time ago you may need to rename the file iTunes Library as iTunes Library.itl. If the media folder on the Mac has been split out from the main iTunes folder see Make a split library portable.

Photo stream will not transfer photos from mac to iphone

I downloaded the new iOS8 software for me iPhone, and now my photo stream isn't working. It sends the pictures i take on my phone to the mac, but won't send the pictures from the mac to the iPhone.
