Transfer Posting error upon u201CQM Usage Decision with WM HUu201D

Hello,
I am switching from the SAP system u201CUsing MIGO with WM (no SU) and Inspection Lot processingu201D to a process using u201CInbound Delivery with WM-HU and Inspection Lot processingu201D.
For e.g. I have a material with 10 pcs packed in one HU, PGRd and putaway. Inspection Lot is created for the HU containing 10 pcs. I am ideally hoping to do Posting change of 6 pcs to Unrestricted (with underlying mvmt typ 321) and Transfer Posting of 4 pcs to Qty. for Sample usage (with underlying mvmt typ 331).
In QA11, when I select posting key u201CVMENGE01 To Unrestricted useu201D, I get the error message u201CHandling Unit is locked. No assignment possible. Message No. HUFUNCTIONS007u201D. (I donu2019t have any document open to cause locking).
When I select posting key u201CVMENGE03 Qty. for Sample usageu201D, I get the error message u201CHandling Unit is locked. No assignment possible. Message No. QHU17u201D.
Here is the status in u201CInspection Lot Stocku201D tab of QA11.
u2022     Inspection Lot Qty.: 10 pcs
u2022     Sample size: 4 pcs
u2022     Status for u201CHU Transfer Postingu201D is Green
I am currently doing GR first and then putaway. Though I am open to doing putaway and then do PGR, if that can help, in any way.
Can anyone please help me with this issue? Please let me know if I need to provide more info. Thanks for your help in advance.

I did GR for 10 PCs with serial numbers. During QM, when usage decision, in the tab "Inspection lot stock", I input 8 PCs to the unres, 2 to blocked stock.
Upon posting, system pops up a Serial Number dialog showing "TF quality to unrest" with No. serial no is 10/8, and a list of 10 serial numbers.
I select 8 serial to post to unres. But still, the system keeps having error "Exactly 8 serial numbers must be selected (instead of 10)"...
This error is dur to
You have selected 28 to U/r & rest you want to put to Block.
so what system does is by default it will select first U/R qty which is 8.
While stock posting it is showing 10 Sr numbers.out of which you have to select 8 for U/R.
so only select those 2 numbers which you want to put to block...Click on delet(bucket)
now only 8 will remain which you wnat to put to U/R.
select all 8 and click on ok
save.
Rest of the 2 Sr number will automatically move to unrestricted.
This is how sap in UD works for Sr nos.
This will solve your problem.

AFS-QM Error in stock posting performed by taking Usage decision

Hi all,
during stock posting with 105 mov type performed by taking Usage Decision (QA11), I faced with a strange system behavior, described beneath.
Previuos steps:
Purchase order creation
Partial Good receipt performed by MIGO, mov type 103 (Blocked stock from PO)
Automatic Creation of Inspection Lot
Error encountered:
If I take usage decision (QA11) for the inspection lot created, putting the stock checked in Unrestricted Use (correspondant mov type = 105), in the following good receipt (related to the same purchase order), the incoming stock available is less of the real quantity, previously accepted..
After some checks we understood that with 105 mov type the system doubles the real quantity previoulsy accepted, acting in the following manner:
Initial PO: 100 PZ
1° Good receipt: 30 PZ
(automatic creation of inspection lot)
If we take a usage decision, posting stock to unrestricted use (mov type 105), in the 2° Good receipt, the quantity available from the same PO is not 70 PZ (100 - 30), but only 40 PZ ! ! (100 - (30 * 2)) = 40
Please note that it does not occur if we post stock (always 105 mov type) with a MIGO transaction, so we are forced to think that the problem is strictly related to AFS-QM inventory posting, and not to 105 mov type or inbounding process.

I'm not familiar with the specific apparel and footwear solution but with regards to QM, if you are using the standard SAP delivered stock postings, it should use 105 to accept the material to unrestricted for the GR blocked.
I would first use MB51 for the material and batch and review all the material movement documents. Look at the trail of movements and try to see where the changes happen.
In your example, what did the unrestricted inventory and GR blocked inventory show as stock levels?
I'd also check OSS for issues related to AFS/QM. This is not new functionality in SAP so I would be surprised if this was an actual bug or problem in the system that hasn't been seen before.

Return process for the PO which has done the usage decision with QM

Hi Guru,
We are running below process right now, and stop there, don't know how to return to vendor:
PO for external vendor -> Goods purchased physically arrive -> Create a inbound delivery for this PO -> Post the GR with the inbound delivery created -> QA team performed the usage decision and rejected.
At this moment, how can we reverse the good receipt? We canu2019t use VL09 to reverse the inbound delivery, and we can not use MBST to reverse the material doucment which created during Post good receipt.
What's the correct process to return it to vendor?

Hi Rick,
Can use t.code MIGO and select return delivery for material document or delivery note.
Then select the respective document, it will display the details, now you can select the material which you want return and unselect the materials which you dont want to return and the quantities accordingly.
Save the document.
This will use movement type 122.

Calibration: Error while taking Usage Decision (Urgent)

Hi Gurus,
I created one test equipment and installed it on some m/c and while doing calibration during usage decision if i reject the equipment it is giving me the error : equipment installed on superior equipment.
if i accept the usage decision system gives no error.
and it is customer requirement that their instruments should be installed on some m/c not on functional locations.
Please suggest the solution

Hi,
As per the SAP general process first you need to dismantle sub equipment from superior equipment for taking UD, since it is assigned with superior equipment System wil not allow for taking UD.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this by Development?

Use the field material slip (to enter material document)
Validate the material slip field with the help of ABAP.
If really material document exists it will pick the details from the material document.

1) Transfer posting without reference to a reservation
2) Transfer posting with reference to a reservation
My requirement is Transfer Posting with reference to a Material Document (Material Document is GR against PO) in which system should copy all documents from refernce.
Please Tell me how to develop with the above BAPI.

MB1B transfer posting error "SL stock in transfer exceeded by 20 PC."

Hi All,
I'm doing a MB1B transfer posting for my materials from 1 storage location to another using movement type 311,
but some of the materials I encountered this error.
"SL stock in transfer exceeded by 20 PC : 'Material name' 'Plant' 'Stor. Loc' "
I went to MB5T to check the materials if it's in the stock in transfer, but they are not in the list.
I've also check in MMBE to check the stock value of these materials, it shows 100 in unrestricted use which is more than what I'm transferring.
May I know what have i missed checking?

Seems you are trying to do the One step Transfer between locations (311), So it is not required to look into the 313, 315 steps (Stock in trasfer, Removal and palce in transfer)
From the Suppling location these Material and Batch is reserved for some purpose(261 or 201) and these material may under Dynamic Availability Check, In this case even if you have the stock in Location if it is hard allocated for some other purpose you cant use this qty
Please check the above settings.

Transfer posting to special stock sales order with different material

I am able to MB1B a material (Transfer posting) using mvt 412 E and transfer from own stock to sales order stock ,where Sales order belongs to a different material.
It should not allow posting to a "E" stock to a sales order of different material. (anyway system allows that without any warning/error?)
MB1B:Only stock type change (within same storage location).

I tried replicating your Query and observed it as a standard Behaviour
When you use 412 E for posting stock to sales order , system is not validating whether the Material is available in Sales order or
Material Check is only happening against the Plant and storage location but not at sales order level
if you want the check to happen, may be you can try to put a code in this Include
MGV_MATNR_LAMA_SAPLMATL which will Read the Material

Control the Posting of Quantity through Usage Decision

Hi Qm Gurus,
How will i control the posting of quantities from quality inspection to any types of stock? For instance, If the Usage Decision Code made is Rejected, how will the user be controlled or prompted to post quantities only to blocked stock and not to unrestricted or any types; without viewing the Manager's Usage Decision "Rejected".This is very crucial to pharmaindustries because normally, the manager is the one who made the usage decision, and the rank and file will be assigned to post the quantities. how shall this be resolved. Hope anybody can help me. if possible teach me on how to configure this, and there tcodes to be used by different users. I think Qa11 by manager.

Can i control the posting of qty from UD in storage location level e.g. if a user give the UD from Q/INSP. location (1701) & by mistake he does not change the location TO (2500 BSR) then system put the qty in 1701(unrestricted) my requirement is that system by default pick the 2500 location if UD is given for acceptance as OK.I have seen your reply to another similar type of requirement but does not find any storage location option in QS51.

Transfer posting error

Hi All,
I am trying to move the stock from quality to un restricted,
I am getting the error message "change the inspection stock of material in QM only"
In MMR i checked the QM view.
I found that three inspection types 01,04,Z9 are activated.
IN QA32 i checked the inspection lot for material.
I found ten lots for the material.
All the lot status are INSP RREC SUB SPRQ

Hi Kishore,
You need to do UD for your inspection lot whose stock held in QM stock. Unless you do UD, you can't move stock from QM to unrestrict.use.
Goto QA32 -
select inspection lot --- select UD -
enter UD code -
Inspection lot stock tab -
Enter Quantity to be posted in Unrestrt.use -
Enter -
save.
Check in MMBE,you will find that your stock posted from QM to Unrest.use.
Check it & revert back.

Posting Error for Pensioner who are with some Third party Deductions

While posting Payroll result to FI, there is a issue that "cost centre is not assigned" for the pensioners(Who are with some deductions like income Tax, bank Loan and so on) . The Cost Centre is assigned with Org Unit and Positon, but for pensioners, there is no position in the org unit.
how we could handle it?

This is how we have setup the retirees (pensioners).
If we speak about the pensioners from Business point of view, then there should be only pensioner department (or PA) and every retiree should be assign to it.
So we have created one position which is applicable to every retiree and only assigned to org unti (retiree) which has the cost center default on it.
Try presenting this structure to your client. This will surely simplify the business processes around pensioners.

This is very much possible.
When you are setting up your UD code in Catalogs For a UD code if scroll to right you will find the column, Stock posting proposal
with the help of which you can set up Automatic stock posting when you save the Usage decision.

Hi All,
In our system Usage decision is usually done by QA10 (RQEVAI30) for inspection types 01,04,06.09.
Now i tried to do it for an inspection type 08(transfer posting),but the system is not recognizing the lots available for usage decision with inspection type 08.But when i try to do the UD through QA32,its doing the same sucessfully.
Why its so?Why system is not identifying the lots with inspection type 08 thr QA10?

Now i tried to maintain it.But Whats the usage to be used for stock transfer inspection(08)?I tried with usage 03(universal) and ran QA10.still its not recognizing lots with 08 inspection type.
I didnt get what u meant by " If yes then is your char in Long term or Required characteristic".

Transfer Posting 311 Mvt. with reference doc.

My clients have one requirment i.e. they requires transfer posting 311 Mvt. should be update with some refernce document.
For Example : Stores team are transfering material to shop floor by 311 Mvt. but instead of such direct posting can production team give requistion through SAP for 311 Mvt. ?

You can use reservations, instead of requisitions and make reservation number as manadatory for the 311 movement type , so that they can be always created with reference to a document only.
