Transfer pricing between the same plant

Our multimational client has desired, transfer pricing between the profit centres. The profit centres have been designed as a combination of product lines and plant. My first query is that whether it is possible to have Transfer pricing in the same plant, i.e. when the finished goods one material is moved & fed as raw material from one product line to another product line. How will the same be mapped in MM and PCA/ COPA??

Now my question is how can I assign a receiving plant for a customer?
I can't do the MIGO or MB1B document because I need the delivery document (packing list, forms, Texts,...).

Hi,
What is the item category you are assigning while doing VL01NO? Check the schedule line category for that item category assignment. That Schedule line category has an option for one step GI. There you can assign 311 or create a separate item category and schedule line category and in that SC assign 311.

STO to transfer material from Stor.Loc. 0001 to 0002 under the same Plant

Dear friends ,
Does anyone already have used the new functionlity to transfer material from Storage Location 0001 to Storage Location 0002 under the same plant with STO ?
Which delivery and movement type should I use to do that ? we put a mov. type 311 but errors appear for us.

Hi Alessandro,
You can very well create an STO keeping the issueing and receiving plant as same and mentioning the issue S.location and do the DO using VL10B and PGI using VL02N.
at the time of GR you can specify the receiving S.location and post the GR.
There is no any requirement for specific config.

So I would say "unlimited" based on the information provided by Adobe. Of course given all the connectivity and activation issues being posted in the forums regularly, just keep in mind then that during the process you might run into temporary technical trouble. But if all goes well technically, then yes you should be able to activate and deactivate as many times as you want, whenever you want as long as you don't exceed the two computer maximum and abide by the usage terms etc. It's a rather cumbersome approach but is a perhaps cheaper option short of signing up for a team subscription.

This would not be possible as when you have to create the logical systems, you cannot create two entries for the same client.
And while defining the partner profiles as well.
IDocs are basically for two systems or two clients.
YOu may not require IDoc in one system itself.

3750 bandwidth limitation between the same vlan over the trunk

Hi All,
I have 2 3750G series switches on the trunk link. some machines are part of vlan1 on the switch 1 and some machines are the part of the same vlan1 on the other switch2. I need to limit the bandwidth between the switches for the vlan1. picture is attached.
I tried to do through the modulare policy frame work (class-map/service-map and policy-map using the police command) but problems are
1) 3750 does not support output service policy, so i cannot apply the policy on the output of the trunk link.
2) I can apply the input policy but it will be only for one machine but not for the others on the same switch. if i apply the policy on per port basis then every port has separate bw limitation. I require to limit the bandwidth on per vlan basis on the trunk port. like vlan 1 takes 10 MB, VLAN2 takes 10 MB on the trunk link when communicating between the same vlans.
Is there any solution for that scenario? your help in this case will be higly appriciated. As its the layer 2 communication, its hard for me to find the solution. if it was layer 3 then i can do it easily by using the rate-limit commmand on the interface.

PR Item Text Different for same Material in the same Plant.

I have a Query for SAP MM.
Below is the Scenario:
User raises a PR through SAP for a particular Material (Spare) which belongs to an Equipment.
Let's say in Plant A, we have an Equipment 10001 & it has a sub-Equipment as 1000112 & further it has a spare which belongs to the sub-equipment as 1000001.
Now when the user raises a PR for 1000001 then he wants to automatically populate the information in the Item Detail Text tab such as:
Equipment No.: 10001
Sub-Equipment No.: 1000112
The above text enables the vendor to track & source the correct material.
The problem here is that the same material is being used in the same plant for another equipment also, hence we cant just update the PO text in the Material Master record.
How to map the above in the std SAP system???
Require your help / expert comments.

i feel that u want to send the material to the supplier of that equipment for sum work,
then it would b better that u maintain the supplier model no. or manufacturing part no. which u can give in the detail.
it would be better to give the manufacturer part no. The manufacturer can more easil track the part by giving the manufacturer part no, rather then giving your own SAP No.
and regarding the SUB-Equipment and its part no. there is no standard functionality.

Lock the plant so that other user cannot use the same plant.

I ahve this small report which shows the pro-rate factor . In this report I need to block the plant or lock it(a soft) lock witha message that some other user is using the plant so that other cannot use the same plant to post.Following is the report and if soemone can help me out would be very kind enough.I ahve added teh code where validation of plant is doen , so it must be somewhere here the locking should be done as per my thinking . Master is always switching between the same two members.

We have observed that our replicated environment, is always switching between the same two members even though there are other members with more cpu power.
As said on message {message:id=4169549}: "+In the event of a tie, an arbitrary, but predictable attribute is used to break the tie. In the current release, that tie breaker is an implementation artifact, and is not available through the public API.+"
I know the availability of "je.rep.node.priority" property but, is it possible to set a custom tie breaker or add some king of randomness to the default tie breaker?

No, currently there is no way for the application to influence the election, except through the use of je.rep.node.priority. However, is it possible to use node priority to achieve your goals? If use a positive priority value for all nodes (and avoid using zero), elections would make this choice:
- first consider nodes with most recent log files as master candidates
- node priority used as a tie for those most-recent nodes.
Since node priority is mutable, you could even change the node priority randomly on each node, which is rather awkward, but would work.
Out of curiosity, could you tell us your motivation for injecting some randomness into the master selection? We understand that some nodes have more resources and should be higher priority, but have not thought about why randomness would be useful.

Differential pricing between the US and UK/anywhere else

I'm just curious... can anyone throw any (rational) light on the price discrepancy between the US pricing and the prices for everyone else?
What are the actual differences between the UK and the US versions of CS4 that demand such a discrepancy? Since (for the UK at least) the language is the same, what constitutes a localised version that is worthy of these price differences for upgrades...

This probably isn't the right forum to get feedback, but, it's the closest I can find . . .
I was left on hold today for over 2.5 hours, waiting for a manager, before the call was dropped. NOT FUN!
Basically, it's an upgrade issue.
In July, I upgraded to CS 3.3 (with Adobe announcing that this was the latest and greatest upgrade). I forked out $600 -- of course, assuming since it was the latest and greatest, that it would remain the latest and greatest for a reasonable amount of time. OOPS! Wrong assumption! 2 months later they announce another "latest and greatest" with CS4.
Up until July, I avoided the upgrade because of the CS3/Leopard compatibility issues. Even with 3.3, I have to reboot (on average) a couple of times a day to re-stabilize my OS. Adobe products bog down the OS and grind away on the hard drive to the point where all applications begin suffering.
So, all-in-all, I purchased a "brand new release" 2 months ago for $600, and there's another "brand new release" announced today. And they want me to fork over another $440 for that one -- every sales and customer service rep saying: "There's nothing I can do."
Was on with customer service again for another 37 minutes while I was typing this. Guess what? That freaking call was dropped just this second.
That's 2 dropped calls over a half an hour, and another dropped call over 2.5 hours.
Frustrating.
Been using Adobe products since 1988, and this is the first time I am unhappy with how I've been treated.
How about the usual array of gadflies stay out of this one and allow people who have legitimate concerns about this sort of thing have some reasonable communication.

   I'm doing implementation for my new client.
His factory(plant) is located in a village & he got a head office in the city which looks after the sales & purchases for the plant and the head office. In the same way, the plant also purchase from local vendors.
They do have some common vendors.
They need Accounts reports / Purchase reports / salaries / creditors and vendors all required as per the above seperation i.e., plant & head office.
   Our suggestion was to use seperate ledgers in the chart of accounts so that we can reporting on both of them but they need one ledger but to maintain the data seperately based on the postings where they want to choose to post to head office or plant.
How can we do it. For ex: stationary expenses, I have one account but posts to it by choosing head office or plant while posting so that they can a report on it.

Customize ALE PO change to let SO pricing date the same

HI all,
Our customers use ALE change their Purchase Order(PO) to us. Then, by means of ALE, our Sales Order(SO) changed accordingly.
According to system standard,Sales Order(SO) pricing date would be modified to present date. But in our industry scenario, pricing date is unchangeable once the Sales Order(SO) has been created.
I have experimented on function module(use [se37]) EXIT_SAPLVEDB_007 and confirmed that this could intervene to let SO item's pricing date stay the same.
However, something odd happened. In my experiment, only SO with one item can let pricing date unchanged; in other case where SO is with multiple items still changed. And SO header is still changed as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide /Users/Shared/ as the path, drag them there, and then to the desired location.
