Just got a new iMac and want to transfer the QuickTime 7 Pro key (and software) to it from my old G5.
Will I need to buy it again and what is the best way to install QT7 on Mountain Lion, since it has QT10 could there be problems?
If by "transfer" you mean removie the key from the old system and use it on the new one, then "no," you don't have a problem. If you plan to run QT 7 Pro on both platforms simultaneously, then you should probably purchase a second key since I believe the license specifically states the key can only be used on one system at a time legally. Also note, if editing and conversions are needed for simultaneous use on both systems, there are other options. For instance, you could use the QT 7 Pro key on your primary editing system and install the free MPEG Streamclip app on the secondary system. (I.e., MPEG Streamclip essentially has the same linear editing features as QT 7 Pro but without the masking, layering, and/or compositing features.)

How do i reinstall my Quicktime Pro from a crashed hard drive. I have my old Pro code

My HD crashed. I have my old Pro code from my purchase, but I can only download the free version and there is no place I can find to put in my registration code. I also cannot find a Pro Download without going thru another purchase.

Download and install QuickTime 7 for Windows from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.
Once it's installed, click on Start > Control Panel and search for QuickTime.
Open the QuickTime Control Panel and you should be able to enter your QuickTime Pro registration information there.

I recently had my computer erased and my OS re-installed but my quicktime pro key was lost. Is there any way to recover my pro code?

Adding a bit to what David said, no one here knows what future licensing will be like, but in the past, a major version change in QuickTime, as from QT 6 to QT7, required the purchase of a new license for Pro. If Apple holds to that pattern, then any updates to QT 7 will still use your QT7 key, but if and when a "QuickTiime 8" comes out, you'll have to purchase a new key. Again, we don't know for sure, but it's a safe bet.

Transfer Company Codes to Another System under a new company code

Hi,
We have 2 company codes in which we want to move to another SAP system but under one new company code. Is it possible to create a new company code and bring the two company codes under this company code. We do not really require to move all the historical data, just the balances will be fine. Please provide your insight how this can be done.
Can the 2 company codes be transferred to the new company codes as cost centers? Or what kind of design can work in this situation?

As the historical information is not required the approach to be adopted can be as under:
1. A cut off date has to be determined for transfer of balances to a new Company Code.
2. All Business Processes mapped in both the Company Codes should be there in the new Company Code.
3. All GL Accounts to be extended to new Company code.All Customer and Vendor masters are to be created.
4. All the GL Balances are to be brought over.
5. All open item managed GL Accounts (line item wise) to be populated in the new Company Code.
6. All open items of Customers and Vendors are to be brought over.
7. Material Master to be broght over if the same are no there in new Company Code.
8.All open Purchase Orders and Sales Orders are to be broght over.
You can use LSMW to do the data conversion.

You can try the following:
From the File menu choose Add Existing Item. Under this option you have Web page, Image file, Stylesheet, Java source and Other files. This should allow you to add existing items.

HT1846 I can't locate the Quick Time 7 control panel to input my Pro code

I have Windows Vista and downloaded Quick Time 7. I just bought the Pro registration code to upgrad to Quick Time 7 Pro. Apple explained to go into my Vista OS control panel to access the Quick Time control panel to plug in the purchased code, but its not there. I see icloud in there , no Quick Time. I checked out the other locations where Quick Time files are but still can't locate it. Been at this for a couple hours. Can anybody help?

iCloud.com requires Safari 6 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later. Have you tried all of those?

For the first tine since 1989 I'm thinking about buying a PC.
You'd have exactly the same problems on an 8 year old PC too. It's a bit unreasonable to expect such an old Mac to continue to be compatible as software is constantly updated.
Saying that, I'm still able to access iCloud.com successfully in Safari v5.0.6 on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8, so the problem you're having is likely to be a browser issue, not something inherently wrong with the computer.
Since all this crap started, Mail won't download my Mac.com or me.com email.
The iCloud.com website is totally unconnected to Mail's ability to download email via IMAP. Have you checked the mail server settings are correctly setup and up-to-date?

Log & transfer Pro Res question

I am using log and transfer to import some .mts material. In preferences it says its encoding in Pro res 422 which is fine. My question is I can't see how you can change the parameters of the encoding, are you stuck with Pro res 422 whether you like or not and is the bitrate just fixed?

When you click on the preferences and you see ProRes 422, If you click on ProRes 422 you will see the other options.

Invalid pro code?

I just bought the newest verison of quicktime pro online and when I tried to apply the code in contol panel it says the code is invalid? I know the codes for version 6 and 7 aren't intercangeable, but I'm not sure which version of quicktime I have. Can anyone help me out?

Find the About QuickTime menu item and click on it to find out which version you're using. QuickTime keys for Mac OS X and Windows aren't interchangeable.

QuickTime Pro - I am trying to find a way to retrieve my Quick Time Pro code and re-register it but, because I bought it more than 180 days ago, I cannot find the code anywhere, or any way to get an answer from Apple's website.

I have been going round in circles, trying to resolve this
I bought the MPEG2 component from the Apple UK store on 4th July 2010. I still have the email and the order number but they are no use to me because it is more than 180 days since I ordered this from them.
My operating system got corrupted and I had to do a clean install, then a return of the relevant files, folders and applications from my Time Machine. With that should have been my MPEG2 component for QuickTime Pro but it refuses to register.
I need it to convert my videos taken on my older video camera, which is a Sony, using mpeg2. I cannot look at any of these videos any more, which is deeply irritating. Still lots of editing to do.
I think it is a bit off if I have to buy it all over again
Any ideas?

Transfer tax code shopping cart to purchase order

Hi guys,
Got an issue with regards to taxes. Went through the forum, but wasn't able to find a conclusiver answer. So I'm a bit lost.
We're on SRM5, SP18 ECS version.
We modify the tax code in the shopping cart based on certain punch out catalogs.
The shopping cart contains the correct tax code after the modification.
When the shopping cart is transferred to a purchase order, the purchase order contains the default tax code of our system.
Example:
Data is transferred from catalog to shopping cart. The tax code is modified to code V1 (from default V3).
The shopping cart is now approved and a purchase order is generated. This purchase order contains code V3 (our default code).
Finance is starting to complain that they can't match the invoices in a proper way due to a mismatch in taxes.
The modification in the shopping cart is done via BBP_DET_TAXCODE_BADI.
I checked the mapping option via customizing, but this doesn't seem to work in our case. Back end contains the same tax codes as SRM
Should we somehow work with the doc_change badi? If so, does anyone has some sample coding? Or is the another option?

Noticed the note as well, but it doesn't seem to apply for our case.
We've found a solution (to be developped). While transferring the data from the punch out catalog, we will change the product category to a category with the proper tax code assigned. This seems to work when we debugged it.

How can i transfer my code fragments from cc into cc 2014?

Since I automated lots of frequently used code fragments in CC, I miss them a lot in the new release as they don't synchronize with other preferences and content.
How can I prevent that many work to be lost?

You can do this pretty easily from the desktop without needing to install any kind of extension...
First, turn on your system's hidden folders, then...
OS > Users > Your user name > AppData (normally hidden) > Roaming > Adobe > Dreamweaver CC > your language > Configuration
Copy the entire Snippets folder there, then go to ...
OS > Users > Your user name > AppData (normally hidden) > Roaming > Adobe > Dreamweaver CC 2014 > your language > Configuration
Paste the Snippets folder
Done.

Errors occuring coz of transfer of code from an old version of NWDS to new.

I have transferred several development components from NWDS 2.0.16 to NWDS 7.0.15. The code is running fine in NWDS 2.0.16. But in the new one, its is giving the following error:
1) One of the views is not able to resolve a customcontroller even if the customcontroller is added in the required controllers in properties tab of the view. The customcontroller is present in the same component in which the view ( view with error ) is present
It gives the following error:
"The method wdgetCustController() method is not defined for the type IPrivateBagview."
2) import com.hp.cpi.lombard.IPrivateCedView;
The above import statement is shown with red curled line beneath it. This import is written in the implementation tab of "Ced" view and the view is correctly present in com.hp.cpi.lombard ....still the error persists.
Please suggest any solution.

Hi,
Right click on the project and select repair project structure and classpath.
If you have used any of the classes which are not documented by SAP, you need to do some manual work to remove those references.
Do a reload once this is done
Build your project.

Beta SP to DVCAM tape transfer - time code

hello all,
I work for a small media training organisation and we've had a production job come in.
Some BETA Sp tapes from a feature will need to be transferred to DVCAM for what I assume is an offline edit. We have a BETA deck and I normally dub to DVCAM using S-Video and Phono Cables.
My question is whether the time code will be carried via the S-Video cable or whether I need an independent BNC cable to carry it.
I did some tests today and the DSR-45 deck seemed to take the time code via the S lead. I set up a BNC cable but couldn't verify whether it made any difference. I imported the captured footage into Canopus Edius and the time code seemed fine but I am worried that the editor may not find it using their as yet unspecified edit software.
Sorry if this seems vague - I have limited information about the job at the moment.

Time code does not travel over s-video. You'll need to go tc out of the beta to tc in on the dsr. Make sure the dsrt is set to take external code, or your dubs won't match-- and wrecking any chance of an easy on-line.

PM Order & Notification link -Transfer group codes of damage

I am facing an issue, when work order is created directly automatic from the PM notification;
the following fields of
Code Group of Problem as well as the
Code Group of Causes
assigned to the tag "Catalogs" from the PM Notification
are copied directly to the PM order HeaderData tag in the subscreen "Damage" tag;
but the Code Group of Activities and the corresponding code are not copied to the PM order;
Is there any BADIs/User-Exits that allow to copy and enable these fields in the PM order?

Hello Andres,
To my knowledge, there is no enhancement way of adding a field into this standard subscreen. Also unlike Notifications we can not add custom screen areas to the tabs of Order. So, to have custom user fields (in your case Activity), you need to add Enhancement tab through user exit IWO10018. And write your codes in user-exit like IWO10009 or otherwise, to have the Activity value into this field.
