I just picked up a new one my question is how do i get my purchased apps to my new phone. I ran a restore from backup on the new phone but the backup is way to old to have my purchased apps. I see the purchase receipts in itunes purchase history but do not know how to restore them back to my new phone. thanks all.

how can I transfer purchased apps from itunes account to old iphone?

You can sync them under apps on iTunes if they are in your iTunes library.
you can go into the App store on the device, tap on "updates" and then "purchases" download the apps you want.

  • How to transfer purchased apps from iphone to the new itunes

Hi, how do i transfer purchased apps from iphone to the new itunes? (11.0.2) thanks!

    Hi, CelineAyu,
Here is the way about how to transfer apps from iPhone to iTunes.
    1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes.
    2. Make sure that iTunes is authorized and you are logged into your account. From the top menu choose Store -> Sign In. To authorize the computer for use with your account select Store -> Authorize This Computer.
    3. From the left menu under DEVICES right-click on the name of your iPhone (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) to display the shortcut menu.
    4. Choose the Transfer Purchases from iPhone option.
    5. If you have any question about this issue. You can also use iPhone Transfer to help you.

  • IPhone 3G refuses to transfer purchased apps to iTunes

My iPhone 3G refuses to transfer purchased apps to iTunes. This is causing me major problems with syncing.
Whenever I attempt to transfer apps from the iPhone to iTunes it goes through the motions, but never actually transfers anything. It displays the various apps in the info area at the top of the screen, but the progress bar never advances.
In comparsion when I sync other iPhones, using the same install of iTunes, the progress bar advances and apps are transferred.
The same also happens on clean installs of iTunes on other computers, it seems to be my iPhone that is the common factor. I have tried restoring the phone from a backup, which makes no difference.
This started happening months ago and the phone has since been upgraded to 3.0 and 3.1, but the problem still persists.
Originally it was just a minor irritation, but I made and attempt to fix it which has made things worse. I deleted all the apps from with iTunes and then did "Transfer purchases" in the hope that it might fix something.
It didn't fix anything. Also, I cannot now sync at all.
If I do sync iTunes now does "transferring purchases", fails to transfer and then deletes all the apps (and data) from my iPhone. It also means I can't sync music, podcasts or anything else.
I can't sync anything else, because I can't temporarily turn off app syncing because then iTunes warns that the apps on the iPhone will be deleted.
    I also tried de-authorising and re-authorising.
What can I do to get app syncing working again ?

I am still struggling with the same problem, doesn't anyone have any suggestions ?

  • Please help me transfer purchased apps from my current ios6 to new ios7 program.

Please help me transfer purchased apps from my current ios6 to new ios7 program.

There is no need to transfer anything.
Update the device via iTunes or Over the Air... no content on the device should be affected.
If the device is used as designed and regularly backed up to iCloud or iTunes on the computer, should anything go wrong it can be restored.

Apps designed for iOS do not run on OS X....
But... media files should still run if that's that you mean.

  • Unable to transfer purchased apps from iphone to window 7

I tried all the solution which been offered from apple support but i still unable to transfer purchased apps from iphone to window 7. Please show me what to do =(

Are you trying to transfer apps to Windows 7 to USE them on Windows 7, or to back up your iPhone? iPhone apps will not run on Windows (OR Mac OS X); they only run on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
To back up your iPhone, connect the phone to your computer using the cable that came with the phone and a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub. Do not sync.
Check the account you have on your iPhone by going to Settings/Store. Make sure you are logged in to this same account on your computer, and that the computer is Authorized to this account (check the Store menu).
Go to the File Menu in iTunes and choose "Transfer Purchases".
If you have a problem with any of these steps please let us know exactly what the problem is.

  • How do I transfer purchased apps from one mac to the other?

When i want to sync my iPhone in iTunes on my new computer I will lose all of the apps that I purchased.
Can someone tell me how to sync it in a way (or some other solution) so I can keep my purchased apps?
I'm using the same ID as on old mac.
I have been searching on the internet for help, but I can't find a clear answer.
    Thanks in advance.

    1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
btw, purchased apps can be redownloaded over and over free of charge ...

  • Transfer purchased apps from one iTUNES account to another

I have purchased a few apps on an iTunes account, have set up a new account and bought apps on that. Can i transfer apps from one iTunes to another?

The Solution is that you will need to keep account A active for as long as you have those Apps...
Or you can Get Them Again using account B... But if they are Purchased Apps you will have to pay again...
Free Apps are of course Free...

  • How do I transfer purchased apps from one Apple ID account to another?

I noticed I was purchasing apps on my iphone using a different Apple ID.  Both use the same email address.
Here is what I want to do:
    1. Which account is older?  I don't remember which Apple ID I registered when I purchased my iPhone.  How can I find this out?
    2. I only want to keep one Apple ID.  How do I get rid of the other one?
    3. Before I "delete" the Apple ID, how do I transfer the contents (apps, songs)?  Do I transfer this to the other account?  Should I transfer this to a computer?  Do I download them to iTunes, and if so, under which account would be downloading them to?   I have heard you can burn songs onto a disc.  Can I also do this for apps?
    Thanks again!

    1)  not sure.
2 ) You don't.  you can stop using it, but everything purchased with it, will still be tied to it, and your computers will need to be authorized to that account.
    3)  "Before I "delete" the Apple ID, how do I transfer the contents (apps, songs)"  Transfer them from where to where?
" Do I transfer this to the other account?"
    You cannot.
" Do I download them to iTunes, and if so, under which account would be downloading them to?"
Download them to itunes from where?  and you cannot download them to another account.  They will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased.
"  I have heard you can burn songs onto a disc.  Can I also do this for apps? "
You can back them up to a cd and transfer them between computers.
What are you trying to accomplish?

  • How do I transfer purchased app to my other Apple ID?

I ordered the 5-license version of BusyCal (BC) using my personal App Store ID instead of our organizational App Store ID.  Because of my error, I have to use my personal App Store and ID when updating BC.
What  can I do to make the App Store and BC use our organizational ID instead of my personal ID?
I don't think I'm asking how to change my ID, since I know that.  What I want to do is have this purchased app be updated by our non-personal, organization's Apple ID, instead of my personal ID, so that I don't have to divulge my personal ID and PW.
It's almost like I need to get a refund for the app, then turn right around and purchase again, using our organizational ID.
Or  . . . as thought I need to 'transfer' this purchase from my personal ID to our organizational ID.
Hope there's an easy solution to this!
    s.

There is no way to transfer purchases to another Apple ID. You can try contacting iTunes support, explain your situation, and it is possible they will issue a refund to you, at which point you can purchase it again using your organization's Apple ID.

  • How to transfer purchased apps from iPhone to macbook

Hey guys, I'm trying to transfer a couple of apps that I purchased on my iPhone, and I'm trying to get them on my Macbook air without buying them agin. The problem is that I don't know if the method thats been provide for us on apple/support.com is actually working. The method I've been using is plugging my phone up to my macbook and opening iTunes, then going to file> devices> transfer purchases, but nothing seemed to happen. Is there a Specific place or file that the transferred purchases would have been sent to or am I doing it all wrong? P.S the apps that I'm trying to transfer is Garageband, Pages, Numbers, and Key Note.

That method will put the iOS versions of them into the computer's iTunes library. The Mac OS X versions need to be gotten from the Mac App Store.
Mac OS X and iOS are separate architectures.

  • Stolen iPad2 - Transfer purchased apps?

My iPad was stolen last night. Someone smashed my car window and ran off with the iPad. It has several apps that I purchased, such as Pages, Keynote, iAnnotate, and several others. If I obtain a replacement iPad, can I transfer the apps onto the new iPad, or do I need to purchase the apps again? The iPad was backed up on my laptop.
Also, I've taken the following steps. Anything else that I should do?
    - Changed all email passwords
    - Changed passwords for cloud storage services and social media sites
    - Disabled the iPad apps in the settings of those social media and cloud storage sites
    - Changed my iTunes password and revoked iCloud access from the iPad
Unfortunately, I don't have any type of app on the iPad that allows me to wipe the device or lock it.

Sorry to hear your bad news. Once you sign into the Store on the iPad with the same AppleID, you can re-download the apps for no charge from the Purchased tab:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Edit: If you set up iCloud on the iPad and activated Find my iPad, you can remotely wipe it using the iCloud website, from any computer. You don't need to have installed an app.

  • Transfer purchased apps from my wife's account to mine

Recently, my wife and I decided that we would sell her iPad to one of our kids. I have an iPad2 and would like to know if I can transfer her apps (purchased under her own ID) to my iPad.

If you log into the App Store on your iPad using her account, you should be able to download her purchased apps directly.
