Transfer purchases doesn't work

Hi. I just got my ATV set up and I'm having some problems getting music and music videos I purchased on the ATV back to my Mac. iTunes did an automatic sync and copied over my new podcasts only. I hit the sync buttons a couple of times and nothing happened. I right clicked on the Apple TV and selected "Transfer Purchases" a couple of times and that didn't work. I clicked on the ATV in iTunes on the Mac, and I can see the content I purchased yesterday. Fo some reason it only copied my new podcasts. I searched the support docs and couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

This is happening to a lot of users, including myself. Transfer purchases worked fine for me until just a few months ago. Now the only way to get that content into your itunes library is by calling customer support. They will have to "reactivate" your purchased items and you will have to download them via itunes. Please report this to apple engineering also – so hopefully they will correct this problem.

Transfer Purchases will not work on my system. I have changed computer, installed iTunes and authorized the system. When I hit Transfer Purchases the iPhone syncs for about 3 seconds and then returns to normal, no purchases are transfered to the PC?

"show itunes in the cloud purchases" doesn't work any more. I changed my apple id recently. I deauthorized and authorized my computer, loggin out and in. Can't see anything not on my hard disk, as previously. I restored my system, but the cloud purchases came back ok previously. The HD episodes are not on C: - they are all there. I reimported the folder.

I think I restored a very old system and must install a newer itunes. Not sure how to erase this.

Do you know what you get from the Complete set of content? like by sounds does it mean more library effects. I've tried restore purchase.

200 sounds means 200 software instrument (Midi) patches. If you create a software instrument track, you should see many more patches.

In app purchasing doesn't work... Reply from service not logical

I purchased a gift card in order to use it for in app purchasing. I didn't list any oth card in my account and now I can download the main application and buy songs from iTunes But the service simply told me that my email/apple ID can't be used with that store (the country's I am) although I used it twice! So what is it?
In order to use a gift card for in app purchasing you need to have a debit card or any other card listed? I bought a gift card because I don't have any eligible cards for that account.

I never recieved any response from Lenovo Support on this, checked my messages & emails since and nothing. I guess when they don't have an answer, tickets just fall threw the cracks mysteriously.
Either way, I never had a chance to attempt the sequence method mentioned, granted Lenovo stated what order I needed to install their software (which I performed to their exact instructions)
Since then, out of the 2 laptops, 1 still doesn't work and the other one works periodically. Don't know why it works when it does but after a reboot, it fails again.

just wanted to buy indesign cc as an existing customer (offer which ends today), they ask me to type in a serial number of an already purchased produkt which i did (cs6). But it doesn't work - says i cannot purchase at lower price. What to do. Offer ends today ...

I have the iPod Touch 2G and the transfer purchases is not working

I have tried to sync my ipod 2nd generation to my computer by transfer purchases but when i go into the apps tab and sync it after checking the box for apps i keep getting the erase and sync, i try to do the transfer puchases options again and it syncs but it stops randomly and i am not sure if it synced my 9.8GB of apps on my ipod and i am on the 4.2.1 software and am in need of dire help to fix this i need to eventually reset my ipod to clear it off and i dont want to do that without getting all my apps synced first PLEASE HELP! Did you try to connect to your computer, launch iTunes, right click on your ipod in the device list and choose "transfer purchases"? This will copy all bought media without syncing your ipod.

'Transfer Purchases' doesn't include apps?

When transferring purchases from my iPad back to the computer, I always have to do it twice: once for music, videos and books, once for apps. Is this normal? Shouldn't all transfers be done at once?

Just in case I wasn't clear before, let me be clear now. If I have a cleanly installed system and I hook up my iPad, then transfer all the purchases from it (using iTunes' "Transfer Purchases" option), at first it will only transfer songs, videos and books. If I want to transfer iPad apps, I have to select the option again.
Why do I have to do this? I mean, it's not a great inconvenience or anything like that, I'm just curious.

Chunked Transfer Encoding - Doesn't work due to implementation bug?

Hello All,
I'm tackling the infamous "transfer-encoding: chunked" issue on trying to send POST data from the J2ME emulators and devices greater than 2048 bytes (or whatever the internal buffer size of a specific device might be). The nginx server on the other end always sends back a *411 - No content length specified* because it doesn't seem to recognize chunked transfer encoding. (despite the fact nginx is HTTP 1.1 compliant meaning it should be able to recognize it without rejection)
One thing I've noticed is that compared to a correctly chunked HTTP body which looks something like this:

the HTTP bodies coming out of the MIDlet though Network Monitor in the emulator just look like this:

It seems the chunked HTTP body does not have the chunk size indices that should be there for proper formatting.
I did my debugging on the Sun Java Network Monitor and maybe that tool "hides" the actual chunking indices
or the chunking takes place at a point beyond the emulator's snapshot of the data. Does anyone know if the Sun Java Network Monitor indeed shows the entire body of an HTTP POST in it's true state? The size of one packet I'm looking at is 2016 which is 32 bytes off 2048 - the supposed limit where data starts getting chunked. Could this "missing" 32 bytes from the log be the chunking indexes I am looking for? If the Network Monitor indeed shows the packet body in it's entirety then it seems like people are having issues sending chunked transfers because the format is wrong.
Anyway assuming J2ME's chunked transfer encoding is working correctly then how come nginx and many other supposedly HTTP 1.1 servers cannot understand the incoming format? Is Java's implementation of chunked transfer encoding somehow deviant from the set standard? I read a post at the following address

in which a user could not get chunked posts recognized by Apache until he changed the format of his HTTP body (read the last post on that thread for details on this).
In case no one can assist on the above how would I go about trying to intercept the HTTP data stream right after it leaves the emulator or a real device. Is this something that can only be done server side? If so how can I guarantee that the data I am receiving on the server side was not modified by another entity along the way?

We're still tackling the same issue but we've made a few discoveries:
* Nginx does not support chunked transfer encoding despite it's HTTP 1.1 status.
* The chunked transfer encoding format coming out of J2ME is correct. During some server side logging sessions we found that J2ME puts in the chunking indices and the finalizing 0 and carriage return to signify the end of the stream.
* The missing 32 bytes not shown in the Sun Java Network Monitor are the chunking indices - they are just hidden from you at that level of display. Since the J2ME emulator sends it's packets in 2048 bytes chunks when viewing the monitor you will just see the contents itself (2016 byte chunks). The other 32 bytes are the headers i.e.
7e0[carriage return]
which is a 32 bytes sequence (4 8 byte characters) with the last character being the carriage return. 7e0 in decimal is 2016 - the size of the displayed packet in the network monitor.
Anyone have any suggestions for a reliable server end receiver for chunked transfer encoding content? (preferably one which works well with Ruby on Rails)

HT201272 All my books disappeared when I bought a new computer and the download previous purchases doesn't work. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

This is a problem I'm sure many people have had.
I purchased several books a few weeks prior to purchasing a new computer. When I set it up using the file I had been saving to for the last couple of year I see that several of the Audio Books I had bought some as late as a few days prior, were missing.
They're on my purchase list on the apple site but it doesn't let me download them so im stuck. I'm sure apple would just love it if I gave it the old American't try and gave up and called a loss and purchased them all over again.
I've been using iTunes to make these purchases since they started iTunes. Since this isn't the first time its happened maybe I should call it all a loss and go shopping for another medium.

You say "ipod nano" in the subject line, but this is the forum category for the iPod shuffle (and you later say "ipod shuffle" in the post). Is your iPod a shuffle or a nano?
Even if iTunes is not installed, an iPod should charge when connected to an active USB port that is supplying sufficient power. What indicates to your that the iPod is not charging?

TouchID for App Store purchases doesn't work after turning phone off and back on?

TouchID for unlocking my iPhone 5s works 99.9% of the time. It's fantastic. However, using it to authorize App Store purchases, NOT in-app purchases, is less fantastic. In my case, it seems like every time I turn my phone off and back on, the phone forgets it's can use TouchID to authorize app purchases. I have to go into Settings -> General -> Passcode & Fingerprint -> (enter my passcode) -> Fingerprints -> iTunes & App Store, and turn that off. Then I have to turn it back on and enter my Apple ID password. Not exactly a quick procedure. The good news is that once I turn it back on, it works like it's supposed to until I turn my phone off and back on again. If it can remember to use TouchID for unlocking the phone, why can't it remember to use TouchID for authorizing App Store stuff? Am I missing something?
Anyone else experiencing the same thing and/or have a solution? Thanks!
