i was moved transfer rules BD1to BQ1 but bq1 side inactive ,
how to activate tranferrules

Hello,
If you choose lock it will lock your transfer rules until that task is over, if you choose only inactive ones it will activate only inactive transfer rules. So just fill source system and InfoSource and run the program. That will only activate transfer rules.

Transfer Rule Inactive for Hierarchies

Hi All
I have a Typical Problem. i have activated some datasources (3.5) for Hierarchies. we have total four of them. these are working perfectly fine in Dev and we have successfully transported them to QA without issues. But wen we transport the same to Prod one of the transfer rule is giving an error. when we transport only this transfer rule and the corresponding DS, it becomes active, but another one goes inactive. if we transport all the four again, first one again becomes inactive and the other three are active.
eg : i have four transfer rules A, B , C and D. When i transport them A is active and the other 3 are active. so i transported only A with the DS and the communication structure, C becomes inactive. so we transported all the four again. now A becomes inactive. the Transport requests (logs) do not give any error.
we are using Bi 7.0 System.
Has anyone faces this issue. and help me out to rectify the same.

Can you please elaborate on "it is not letting me change"? What error do you get? This should not happen in development system.
May be someone is keeping the object locked. Highly likely that you are keeping it locked in a different session. Close all the sessions and try again.
If the object is locked and you want to forcibly unlock it, use transaction SM12.

I installed info bjects from Business Content, after installing transfer rules are inactive for project claims(0PS_CLM_CST). I am getting this type errors, object 0PS_CLM_CST Object version not found in table.
and also i am running the program in se38 (RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL) It is showing errors.

Hi,
After running the above program,catchup your infosurce and do manually activation of your transfer rules and updates as well,if present.
check whether all the InfoObjects are mapped correctly and the status is active or not.

Transfer rules are inactive in BW Production system

The transfer rules are inactive in BW(Production) for the datasource 0FI_GL_4. I tried to activate by executing a program "RS_TRASNSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL" and another option by moving transport request from Quality to production( I have done the replicate datasource as well). In the quality system the data flow is ok to ODS(0FIGL_O02). but in Production not able to activate the transfer rules. please suggest me the best practice.

Whenever we get such an error, we first need to check the Transfer Rules (TR) in the Administrator Workbench.
Check each rule if they are inactive. If so then Activate the same.
You need to first replicate the relevant data source, by right click on the source system of D/s ->Replicate Datasources.
Now execute the following ABAP Report Program u201CRS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALLu201D.
It asks for Source System Name, InfoSource Name, and 2check boxes. For activating only those TR/TS which are set by some lock, we can check the option for u201CLOCKu201D. For activating only those TR/TS which are Inactive, we check for the option for u201COnly
Inactiveu201D.
Once executed it will activate the TR/TS again within that particular InfoSource even though they are already active.

What are the objects need to collect while moving transfer rules to quality

Hi All,
In production data loads we have faced alpha conversion errror for the customised object ,so chkd transfer rules in that the conversion box is not chkd for that particular infoobject.So i have chkd that box in dev and activated the transfer rules.So now to transport to quality what are all the objects i need to select ?.
If i drag drop the transfer rules in transport connection it shows like none of them are selected even infoobjects,infosource,source system and the selection box is inactive for transfer rules.
So please provide me inputs how to goahead....Thanks

While activating the transfer rules(after changes)-it proposes you the request number .. that u can transport to target systems.
Else, using transport conn--> select only necessary objects in grouping --> find ur transfer rules and transport it.
you can expand all the objects and check only required ones (uncheck others and source sys, coz ss cant be transported)

Transfer rules not availble in Business content

Hi,
In process of installting Purchasing module related business content I am facing problem with Transfer rules. I have activated all datsources related to Purchasing module in R/3 side and replicated in BW .
Except for 2 datsources all other replicated properly. the datasources 2lis_02_itm and 2lis_02_hdr replicated and are in modified version. why they are not in active verion. can anyone help me in this??
and when i go to business content only infosurce, communication structure are available for this datasources and transfer rules are not available. I tried the option sof delting the datsource and replicating again, activating the source system etc. and replicating it number of times.but nothing worked.
and another issue is when I replicated it didnt propmpt me anythng to selct the option of replciate in 3.x or 7.0 version.
Request anybody's help in this to get the transfer rules.

Hello,
Install the business content for purhcasing properly in BI7.
If you install 2LIS_02_ACC for eg.. you will see... Cube/DSO-Transformation(TRCS)-Infosource-Transformation(RSDS)-datasource.
Sometimes the TRCS or RSDS will be inactive after installing... check the start routine of the transformation and correct accordingly..

I am working with the datasource 0PRODUCT_TEXT, and I am trying to install transfer rules from BI Content and unable to get the active version.
But the transfer rules are showing inactive and the error is as follows.

Procedure
Correct the template to remove the problem

Try to run RSActivate* all transfer rule program that will activate the inactive transfer rules. Don't forget to replicate the datasource once again before you run the program.

Cannot create transfer rules

Hello,
I activated the datasource 0UC_MTR_DOC in the source system and replicated the same into BI. But in BI the datasource shows as inactive. Then I went to the Tcode rsds and activated the datasource.
And then I activated the Business content infosource, 0UC_MTR_DOC, and then when trying to create a transfer rules to link the infosource and datasource, the system does not give me an option of 0UC_MTR_DOC, as the datasource. Why is this happening? I am confused. I tried creating a transformation, but even then I get the message that 'Transfornmation does not exist'.
Please help. Points will be awarded to helpful answers.

Hi Prince,
If you want to replicate it as 3.x, you just go to RSA1 - DataSources and delete the datasource. Then, replicate it again, and when you are prompted for the Datasource type selection, select 3.x. Then, you should be able to activate Business Content and connect.
Then, you migrate the Update rules, InfoSource, Transfer rules and Datasource.

Problem in migrating Transfer Rule (3.X) to Transformation (7.0)

I am working on migrating bussiness contents from 3.X to 7.0. Have migrated transfer rule into transformation successfully. But transformation remains inactive by default & as I try to activate it, system throws error.
The error is associated to the formula used in rule as an syntax error.
Formula - IF( KOART = 'D', BUSINESS_PARTNER, '' )
Error - Formula element is not allowed here.
I didnt change the formula after migrating. Infact it is same as it was in transfer rule - IF( Account type = 'D', BUSINESS_PARTNER, '' )
'Account Type' is changed to 'KOART' by system itself during migration.
Please suggest views to resolve the issue.

Though, migration of transfer rule into transformation done successfully, since BI 7.0 uses OO ABAP, u have to change routines code, formulas manually.
I think, u r missing ' ' for BUSINESS_PARTNER.

Transfer Rules Deleted while recreating Source System

Hi:
We connected our QBW system to upgraded SAP ECC 6.0 QAT system. We needed to recreate the source system for ECC since that appeared inactive. After our Basis admin re-created the source system, all transfer rules were deleted. Now we can not extract data. We had done the same thing in BWD when the SAP Dev system was upgraded 3 weeks ago and we did not have this problem. Is it possible to activate all transfer rules in QAT again? Or do we have to restore a backup? Or do we have to collect them again from the Development and transport to QBW??

Hi Sunil,
yes when you delet the source system and recreate it evey thing will be vanished
right click on the souce system click Replicate datasouce
Then try with
a) Right click on source system and click on Restore if it doesn't work
b) Transport from Development to Quality
and active all the transfer rules using the report RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

Is there away to activate all Transfer Rules after a client copy at once?

Our Basis team recently created 2 new clients from copying our existing dev & qa systems they then changed the partner profiles and source systems to point to our new ecc clients but we now cant get anything to run without activating transfer rules trying to do this one at a time twice is going to take a long time is there anyway of doing this en masse?

RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL      Activate Update Rules
and then
RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL      Activate Transfer Structure

System copy problem...No transfer rules available

We are facing a problem in getting the Transfer Rules...
1.we did a system copy from PRD system and created a Sandbox system .
2.After the system copy the problem came from the source system.....i.e for the datasource's in the table RSOLTPSOURCE the mapping is showing for 2 systems....CRM PRD system & CRM SANDBOX system....
3.Coz of this issue the Transfer rules are not available and the all the DS are inactive......
4.I tried with the FM RS_TRANSTRUC_ACTIVATE_ALL but im getting message as no transfer structure is available.
5.When i tried to manually activate the DS from BW side it is asking to create TRANSFER RULE.
Please help me to sort it out.....

I also raised a OSS to SAP ....what they suggested is....
According the logs in BWS there was definitely a systemcopy from BWP to BWS, but the BDLS logs looks very strange, which actually did not converted anything, because the administration tables containing some very strange entries.
Lets take the datasource 0crm_sales_act_1 for example. If you check this datasource in table RSOLTPSOURCE you can see, that it exists currently for both source systems:
OLTPSOURCE LOGSYS OBJVERS
0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 CMPCLNT501 A
0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 CMSCLNT501 A
Unfortunately the root cause of this is unkown, but most probably it is caused by an improper copy procedure, where the consulting note
886102 was not followed.
To solve the problem, please follow the below steps:
1. Implement note 1405233 and 1336119 to your system 2. Go to RSA1 and delete the source System CMS.
3. With function module rsar_logical_system_delete delete the source system CMP:
I_LOGSYS CMPCLNT501
I_FORCE_DELETE X
I_NO_TRANSPORT X
I_NO_AUTHORITY X
4. In your productive BW (BWP) please create a transport request which contains all the source system dependent objects for CMP. Please check note 886102 scenario B3 step 2 for details.
5. In BWS, please recreate the source system to CMS and activate it but please do not replicate the datasources yet.
6. In BWS please maintain the table RSLOGSYSMAP and map CMP to CMS and import the transport request created in step 4.
Please be aware, that such a constellation happens mostly, if some steps are missed or are not carried out properly from consulting note 886102. Please get in touch with your basis colleagues and provide them this note, so the next time such a problem does not occur.

BW3.5: Error message when trying to activate the transfer rule

When I was trying to activate the transfer rule for one info object( charateristic with master data) , I got the following error in [[ ]]
Error when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR in source system CI2220
Diagnosis
An error occurred when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR as an IDoc segment in source system CI2220 .
System response
The action was terminated. No data was changed.
Procedure
Use the generation log in source system CI2220 to identify the error, and remove the cause.
CI2220 is the backend R/3 system, I had no issue in replicating the data source etc. this error occurred while trying to activate the transfer rule after assigning the info source to the replicated datasource in BW.
Can anybody tell me how to view( what transaction etc) the generation log to understand the issue?

Thanks for yoyur prompt reply, I would try to follow the instruction, but at the same time please note that previously we had no issue in activating the transfer structure. I would like to see the log in the source system, but don't know how to and which transaction to use etc. any help would be appreciated.
