Transfer slideshow created on MacBook Pro to iPad

Hi
Wondering whether anyone can advise on how I can go about transferring a iPhoto slideshow, created on my MacBook Pro, onto a iPad 2?
Wanted to present a slideshow at my father's 70th birthday dinner this Friday without having to lug my heavy MacBook Pro to the restaurant.
Also what adapter will I need to the iPad to a projector or TV display?
Alternatively, can I convert the iPhoto slideshow into a PowerPoint presentation?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Grace

Assemble the photos used in the slideshow into an album in iPhoto and export to a folder on the Desktop.  Open Powerpoint on your Mac and import those photos on the Desktop into PP and make the presentation.  You won't be able to import the iPhoto presentation as it appears in iPhoto, only the photos used in  it.
If they have a DVD player with the TV at the party you can create a DVD slideshow with those pictures and burn to a DVD so it will play on the TV set.  If that method is one you might want to explore post back and I'll post some tips on that process.

I It says i need to click Apps ( i think it in Itunes) and then activate filesharing at the bottom after it is connected to computer's usb to from Ipad 2
    I need more documentation.

Different apps will have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer, so it will depend upon what the apps that you want to transfer the files to supports e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc.

  • Can I transfer my individual iPhone photo albums to my MacBook Pro and iPad?

I have taken my photos on my iPhone and broken them down into separate album folders. When I sync my iPhone to my laptop, it will transfer the pictures over, but not in the separate album folders I've created on my iPhone.
Can I somehow transfer my individual iPhone photo albums to my MacBook Pro and iPad?
Why won't the "Album Folders" transfer over? I know I can create separate folders directly on my laptop, but that doesn't help with transferring the folders from my iPhone over to my laptop or iPad.

The Seagate backup drive I bought doesn't support 10.5.8
The only reason I can see for that is it's formatted NTFS, which would likely be Read Only in 10.5.x, if you can reformat it MacOS extended, which would erase everything on it now, then that should work for your purposes.

If you are on iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar, which might make it easier to navigate and may instructions may make more sense.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from your library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos

Connect the iPad to your MBP and open iTunes.  In the photos section of your iPad in iTunes you can choose selected albums, Events or the entire iPhoto library to sync to your iPad.

For transferring videos you could use 'Video Transfer App'. I'm the developer of this universal application (iPhone/iPad) that let's you transfer videos from your iPad or computer directly to another iPhone or iPad.
The app is currently in the Top 25 iPad apps in the photography category.
Here are couple of videos that show how the app works:

You would need to have your photos in iPhoto.  Then in iTunes select your iPad, and under the Photos tab select which photos that you want to send to the iPad.

Hi everyone, as the question says can you transfer an album or selected photos from macbook pro to ipad and visa versa, wirelessly?
If so how do you do it?

    Hi,
Yes, you can. Make sure they are both set to the same wireless network, choose the option to sync over wifi, and then choose the photo album in itunes that you would like to sync, then click sync
