Transfer Smartform Logo/Digital Signature To Unix

Hi Experts,
I need to transfer Smartform's Logo/ Digital Signature to unix server along with other text of smartform.
Current Status:
Text on the SF has been converted and tranferred to Unix using Dataset operations (Character by Character Approach in Binary Mode)
Problem:
Target file in Unix is not displaying the Logo and digital signature that is there in SF.
I am using 'Convert_OTF' and then 'QCE1_Convert' FM to gget PDF data and then transfer each character to dataset using Binary mode.
Please guide how to get Graphics also.
Thanks
Depesh

Hi,
Yes, I have tested the smartform using Print Preview as well as I have downloaded it to desktop in PDF format before sending it to UNIX. Downloaded as well as print preview file is showing the Graphics but when sent to Archive for UNIX directory, Graphics are not diplayed.
I am working on ECC 6.0.
Do you have any idea if the images in Binary format when sent to UNIX are readable directly or we need some other patch/storage maintenance for extracting images in UNIX.
Thanks
Depesh

  • Transfer attachments and Digital Signatures, from a PDF, to Interactive Form

    Hi,
I am developing an an application in WebDynpro Java.
I have a requirement that a user A creates a new interactive form & fills some of the details, & then saves the form.
User B then fetches the form & fills the remaining details.
User A can add attachments & digitally sign the form(using digital signatures).
When user A  saves the form, the application saves it in the JDT. The application fetches the pdf from the JDT & shows it to the user B.
The problem is that, when the form is displayed to user B, i need to pass a variable(using context nodes) to the form, so that some of the properties(visibility,read-only,etc) of the UI elements(of the form) changes, depending on the variables' value.
For this purpose, i need to use the Form for user B in ""UpdateDataInPdf" mode.
But if i do this, then all the attachments, signatures saved in the pdf form(by user A), do not get transfered to the Interactive Form of User B!!
How do i overcome this problem??
    I am using NW7.0 SP13.; Designer7.1, xACF is installed.

    Hi everyone,
I solved this issue using the transferPDFDataIntoContext of the WDInteractiveFormHelper class.
The AIF mode must be set to usePdf.
I hope it will be useful.

  • Replacing the Acrobat logo in digital signatures

I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro 10.1.8 on a Macintosh.  When I create a digital signature, there is a checkbox option in the "Configure Signature Appearance" window (under Acrobat->Preferences->Security->Digital Signatures) which, when checked, displays the Acrobat logo in my digital signatures.  Is there a way I can replace that logo with my corporate logo, made suitably transparent in a PDF like I have for a scanned version of my wet-ink signature?  In this way, I can create various versions of my signature for personal use (with just my transparent scanned wet-ink signature) and corporate use (with both my transparent scanned wet-ink signature on the left and my transparent scanned corporate logo on the right and other information like reason for signature, location, contact email, etc.).  After all, since the document is a PDF, it's already obvious it's Adobe Acrobat.  What isn't obvious is who signed it and who the signer is affiliated with (i.e., me and my company, not Adobe).

I don't have an answer for you, but something to think about. When working with signatures, it's very important (in my view) to move away from judging ANYTHING by looking at the page. That's the old "wet signature" way.  A PDF page could have any icon, name, signature, or convincing text. What really matters is validating the signature and confirming it really is signed by the trusted authority you hope it is. Anything fancy on the page just distracts from that.

  • Digital Signatures / Custom Signature Logo

    Good morning -
I'm getting quickly acclimated to the concept of digital signatures as my employer is stiving towards a paperless office.  I have several questions that have come up, but I'll start with (hopefully) an easy one:
When a digital signature appearance is beign created, one option is "Logo", which will place the Adobe "A" behind the signature image and timestamp information.  Is it possible to put a custom logo behind there - such as my company's emblem?
    Many thanks,
    Warren

    Hi Warren,
The answer is yes, you can replace the PDF trefoil (it's not the Adobe A) with your own logo as the background. Open the image file in Acrobat and it will get converted to a PDF file. Don't worry about cropping the image. For this you do need Acrobat as the free Adobe Reader cannot convert images to PDF. The next thing is to save the file with a specific name and to a specific location.
The file name you are going to use is SignatureLogo.pdf and please note there is no space in the file name. You need to save the file in the following location:
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\<version>\Security
    Vista or Win 7: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\<version>\Security
    Macintosh: \Users\<user name>\Library\Application  Support\Adobe\Acrobat\<version>\Security
I'm sure you've figured out that <user> is going to correspond to the name of the logged in user and <version> is the current major version of Acrobat or Reader. Although Acrobat and Reader get installed into different locations, and even use separate registry entries, they do share the users application data directory.

Now how do  i insert the digital signature in the Std text?
    BR,

    In additons to AS.
digital Signature : upload this digital Signature image to SAP .
u have to two ways to upload image into SAP.
1.RSTXLDMC : which converts TIFF file to Standard text.
2.SE78 : which take BMP file into SAP  and u can directly call this BMP in Smartforms.
    Hi Disha
here u are missing one point:
But the matter which I am printing is taken from the Std TExt and within which i want to insert a digital signature.I tried using <b>INSERT-->GRAPHICS--->graphics means it takes BMP so here u have to add ur BMP file.</b> in std text but no success!Any more suggestions?

  • Transfer of Digital Signature Files

I've transferred my copy of Acrobat 7.1 Standard to another computer and I want to copy over my digital signature file. I can't find the file on my old computer. Could someone tell me how I can move a signature file to another computer?
    Jerry Judd

Assuming you are talking about your digital ID, you can search for files with suffix .pfx or .p12. These are the files types that contain you digital ID certificate. If you find the desired file, move it to you new computer. Then import using Advanced > Security Settings and push the Add ID (+) button.
If you are talking about signature appearance files that is different. It's probably easier to recreate on your new computer, depending on what it's setup is (usually, it is just a matter of clicking some checkboxes to configure). Edit > Preferences > security panel.

  • How do I create a digital signature on a TCP or a UDP flow?

I am trying to convert samples of a voice signal, which is intercepted from the microphone, into fixed length digital signature bytes (using Hash, or) and attach these fixed length bytes to a communication session between two terminals (UDP or TCP "HTTP"). The other receving end should be able to identify the person at the sending side.
Any thoughts how I could do this?
    Any help is most appreciated.
    Sam

    Sam,
If you have the Sound and Vibration toolkit it may make some things easier for you regarding the voice-recording aspect, but if you aren't recording and playing back the actual sounds, just using this for detection and digital signatures, you shouldn't need to worry about this.
    1. For this you are going to be doing some form of Analog Input.  Then you will be storing this data to a file.  There are examples for both of these aspects in the NI Example Finder from within LabVIEW.
    2. If you are going to be doing the FFT, there is a VI under the Mathematics Palette that performs this operation.  Again you can use the same example for saving data to the file.
    3. You would need to figure out what needs to be done to create a digital signature for this.  There may be something in the Sound and Vibration toolkit for this, but I do not know.
    4. For the UDP or TCP transfers, there are several examples for doing this and they cover how to create the connection and transfer / receive data.  These too are in the NI Example Finder
    5. This goes back to number 4, this would indeed be a separate program, but everything else would just be one project and one program.
    6. This would depend on how the ID was created in step 3, again whether you do the algorithm on yourself or not.  For comparing to the table, you would use a Search Array and some comparison functions, all depending on how you stored the data initially.
    7. Graphs are all available on your Front Panel of your VIs and you would just wire up the data that you'd like and have it displayed on the graph.
There will not be an example for everything that you are wanting to do.  The examples are meant to help you get started.  Have you used LabVIEW before?  I would recommend doing the 3 Hour LabVIEW Introduction Course to help you get started.  This will cover some of the basic concepts that you will need to know in order to create your application.
Unfortunately I cannot write the code for you, only guide and direct you.  LabVIEW is a programming language and does require the user to lay out and create their own program.  You will not be able to just find three or four pre-built code-snippets and connect them together to get your appliction working the way you want it.  You will need to develop the applications yourself.

  • How do I delete a digital signature in adobe acrobat 8 as it has been spelt incorrectly?

A digital signature was created in adobe acrobat 8 professional but has been spelt incorrectly - how can I delete or edit it?

    What if you do this:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.
But I do not think it will work since you can only sync/unsync with one iTunes library and the iPod sees the rebuilt computer as a new iTunes library.
    - Do the following to restore the iPod and not lose anything:
    - iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
    - If you have synced photos then you need a program like TouchCopy or PhoneView which are paid. They also do music.
    - Connect the iPod to the conmputer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices iniTunes and slect Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

  • How to Print Digital Signature in Smart forms.

    Hi Experts,
Any one please help me how to use digital signatures in SMARTFORMS.?
Which are the tables used to store digital signatures and please any one have any demo program which prints the the digital signature using smartforms kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sunil kairam.

    Hi Sunil,
After doing some research in sdn and other sources i found the following result...
Digital Signatures are nothing but graphics that we can store in SAP and use in our Smart Forms.
For Example you can create a .bmp file of your signatures, upload it via SE78, and then use it in your Smart Forms in your Footer Area as "Authorized Signatory".
The Logic in the Print Program can be something as follows -
    1. Maintain a Z Table having fields like PLANT, FORMID (Name of the SmartForm), USERID.
    2. Before calling the Form, the validation is made for the Logged in User with the Z Table created.
    3. If the User Entry exists in the Z-Table, the Form is called and the Signature Image is displayed in the Footer Block i.e. the Authorized Signature.
    4. If user entry does not exist in the Z-Table then the message is displayed "You are not the Authorized for Printing the Form" and exits the Transaction.

  • Multiple Digital Signatures?

Here at my work, we need to use digital signatures in order to protect our sensitive documents. However, sometimes these documents need to go up the chain of command before they are completely "done".
Is there any possible way to have more than one digital signature on a document? When I put my digital signature on something and sends it to my boss and he signs it...it erases the original signature (mine) and his is the only one there.
We need to be able to have both of our digital signatures on the document. Is this possible with this, or any other Adobe software?
FYI: We run on Windows XP, and only a few select people have Adobe Acrobat 7.
Any suggestions, EVEN if it means buying new Adobe software would be appreciated.

It's hard for me to send any files, because most of our documents are snesitive materials, and proprietary information.
We also mainly use things on Microsoft Office 2003 (this document in particular is made via Excel 03), but we are willing to transfer the documents to Adobe in order to get the signatures.
The way we sign things is digitally. However it seems, in no matter WHAT format we use, we cannot make ANY changes to the document without taking the old signature off.
These "documents" usually pertain to job orders, or request forms for new jobs. Several people have to sign off on these forms, and almost all of them need to edit/change/add their own stuff to the forms, as the forms go up the chain of command.
But when the very last person sees it, it needs to be shown as signed by everyone who has seen it. This does not seem possible IF the document is edited in any way.
