Transfer songs from another ITunes on new computer onto shuffle 2nd gen
my old computer broke so am using another computer now, which has ITunes already on it, however my shuffle keeps saying its already synced to another computer so i can either transfer my songs to this new computer or erase and sync with this one. i;d like to keep the songs i have on my shuffle.
i just found out i cant unsync it (shuffles apparently are only ever synced to 1 computer, unlike other IPods can)
is there any way around this? i want to add more songs to my Shuffle but its synced to my old computer which doesnt work. i need help ASAP
You can recover the songs from the shuffle and put them into your new iTunes. Once you have done that you can sync the shuffle and link it to the new library. Retrieving songs from a shuffle is a bit different from retrieving songs from a regular iPod, for a shuffle follow this process:
1). On your Windows desktop go to Edit>New folder and add a folder to receive the songs from your shuffle.
2). Download SharePod from this link: SharePod
3). Connect your shuffle to your computer. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. Your iPod will connect but iTunes won't open, the hardware icon should appear in your Windows system tray.
4). Open Sharepod, it should have picked up the presence of your iPod and show all the songs on it.
5). Highlight all your songs in the program window (click on the first song in the list and hold down the shift key, click on the last song and all the songs in between will be selected).
6). Click Copy to PC (the icon is in the top left corner) and choose the folder you created on the desktop or simply drag the songs from SharePod to the folder: SharePod - Copying tracks to your PC
7). When all the songs have transferred close SharePod
8). Disconnect your iPod by right clicking on the hardware icon in your system tray: Safely Disconnect iPod
9). Check the desktop folder and make sure all your songs are there.
10) Open iTunes and go to File>Add Folder to Library, navigate to the folder on your desktop and add the songs.
11). Connect your iPod. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc. Choose "Erase and Sync", iTunes will reload your shuffle with the songs you recovered and link the iPod to this new library.

Purchases made under 1 Apple ID are permanently associated with that Apple ID and CANNOT be transferred to another Apple ID. So if you want to keep those songs, you'll need to always have access to your dad's account.

How to transfer songs from Ipod to a New Computer?
Hey guys
How can I transfer Ipod music to a new computer? My old computer crashed, and My itunes folders are gone. There is an ez way to do this without any programs at all. All you have to do is this: Plug in your iPod and double click my computer. Now click "tools>folder options." In the window that appears, click the "view" tab. Now there should be an option that says "show hidden files and folders." Select that option and click ok. Now open up ur ipod directory. There should be a semi-transparent folder along with the other folders in your ipod directory (Calendar, Contacts, Images, etc.) Open this folder and then open the "Music" folder. Displayed here are a number of folders called "F30" or 31, 32, 33 and so on. In these folders are all your song files on ur iPod. If you save these folders onto your computer you will be able to save them into your itunes library. If the music file names were changed, the information displayed in itunes should still be the same for all the songs and if you had album art it still should be there. After you save your music onto your computer, i suggest that you go back to the folder options and hide the hidden folders again, because some hidden files on the computer are necessary for the computer to run and may be accedentally deleted if still visible, causing the computer to not function correctly. And that is all there is to it. There is no programs needed for this simple process.

Is it possible to transfer songs from your ipod to my computer?
is it possible to transfer songs from your ipod to my computer?
- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- For other music you will need a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

Can i transfer music from ipod to a new computer i do not have my old computer
Can i transfer music from ipod to a new computer i do not have my old computer files as it crashed.
For purchased songs you can plug the iPod into you new computer and use the "File > Transfer Purchases from iPod" feature in iTunes. For music not purchased from the iTunes store you will need a third party program to help. There are a few of them out there, and they are easy to find on Google.

i just updated my software to maverick and my iTunes to the most recent version and i can no longer transfer songs from my iTunes to my iPod. The tracks stay gray with a stagnant circle beside them in the left column. Any ideas?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
How can I transfer music from nano to a new computer. Old computer is gone.
How can I transfer music from nano to a new computer? Old computer is gone.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases -

How can I transfer music from my iTunes on my computer to my iPhone?
Thanks for the info. For some reason none of the syncing options are working for me. Additionally, I'm unable to drag and drop music to the iphone via iTunes.

My daughter received an ipod classic and loade4d some songs onto it from another itunes acct/computer. She also now has a new ipod touch and wants to transfer the songs, but I can't get it to share or add to iyunes librabry?
You need a 3rd party software to copy the iPod data to your PC, iTunes, then sync iTunes to the Touch.

How do I transfer songs from one iTunes library to another?
My husband and I each have our own iBook G4 and iPod mini's. I need to get songs from his itunes library (mostly downloaded from cd's) to mine so that I can put together a playlist for his surprise 50th birthday party. What's the easiest and quickest way of doing this?
Hi, Welcome to Apple Discussions!
I think that the fastest way is:
- connect the 2 iBooks using the Airport Extreme Card or the Ethernet
- open finder then select network and select the remote computer
- open iTunes, select your tracks and then drag them into the shared folder... that's it! You have just transfered your music to the other iBook and now you can create your playlist using iTunes.
If you don't know how to create a private network or something else, post another message... bye!
