Transfer/ Synchronizing eBooks between different devices

Hi,
Currently I have Digital Edition installed on my Win8 Dell Laptop, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and Apple iPad 3, and sign in with the same Adobe account. I have downloaded some ACS encrypted eBooks, in both PDF and ePub format. Anybody have any idea on how to trasnfer those eBooks between those devices. From Adobe help I can only find solution on transferring eBooks between PC and eReader, not PC and tablet. I try connect PC and my tablets, while the Digital Edition seems cannot recognize the tablets, thus cannot transfer from PC to tablets. Anybody can help me with these

A disclaimer: I'm an old fart who's been working with computers since the
stone age (1967). Some things change - some do not, regardless of the
technology. And my experience with ADE and ebook readers is limited to what
I've been doing since the beginning of this year. So, what I can tell you
is more theoretical than experience.... With that in mind:
Ebooks may simulate real books, but that doesn't mean you can do the same
things with them. Once you download a book to a particular device (PC, MAC
or ereader), the computer and the software register it according to the
'tags' created by the publisher. You can see those tags if you click on the
very tiny drop-down box in the upper left corner of the book's cover in
Library view. Click on 'Item Info'. You'll see the permissions the
publisher has set up, such as reading on devices, copying and printing. If
you can copy the book, then you could use PC or MAC tools to copy it to a
thumb drive, then take it to the other computer and download it into their
ADE library, making sure it goes in the same folder name on the other
computer. If the publisher doesn't allow copying, there are electronic
'tags' built into the file on your computer that will not let the book be
opened on any other computer. And that sounds like what's happening to
you.
Short of buying their own copy, the only solution I can think of is sharing
the computer.... Sorry!

Transfer ebook between personal devices

I need to transfer my ebook from my personal computer to a new computer as I need to reformat my old computer. It's very slow, only capable of basic tasks. Both are macs.

You can't transfer any iTunes downloads to another account, they are tied to the account that downloaded them - you can set up a new account for future purchases, but you can't move existing ones over to it.

Hi people, i need some help working this out. I am about to buy a Tablet, it will be my first tablet.
In a few days the iPad 3 comes out and that would be nice, But...I have 2 old PPC macs, both Running on 10.5.8 and an android Phone. I'm guessing that because the iPad doesn't have a micro SD card slot or a proper usb port, getting files from it to all of my other kit is going to be a big pain. I understand that Apple has finally made iOS5 which i'm told is non computer reliant, so in theory, i can buy an iPad, take it home, turn it on, set it up and use it, without having to connect it to a computer with iTunes on it.
I am aware that iPad will come with iCloud, but i'm guessing Apple won't allow any of my kit listed above, to access that except maybe a windows computer. I could use bluetooth?
Is it possible to access files i would store in iCloud from any device, anywhere in the world just by logging in over the internet browser? Or am i going to have to not use iCloud and instead use Google Docs, Dropbox, or some other combination of online storage to move file around, or get a completely diferent tablet.
I'm also concidering an Asus Transformer Prime Tablet plus docking keyboard as that does have a full sized usb port and a micro SD card slot and a full sized SD card slot as well, plus an extra battery.

Yes sorry, i missed a bit out. I would use iCloud from the iPad itself, to backup the iPad so that when it crashes i can restore it, but would have to keep a copy of any files in Dropbox, that i might need to share inter platform. As i tend to keep multi backups anyway coz over the years i've had 2 Hard disk failures and 1 memory stick failure. That approach is not too much hasel. Not as elegant as just using one on line storage area but Hey, Big companies are never going to make their stuff work properly with everyone elses, that would be way too idealic. It was hard enough to get them to use standard file formats.

I have an iPhone 5s and shattered its screen. I backed up its data to iTunes and manually replaced the screen myself. When I try to turn on the phone, it doesn't turn on. When I plug it into an outlet, it just makes a noise every five seconds. I purchased a new iPhone 5s and I tried to restore the data, but I couldn't retrieve it, just settings. I had a ton of important photos and songs I wrote....gone. Is it possible to simply swap the memory chips (both 16G) without damaging either devices or losing any data? Someone help me please!

iPhones contain no user servicible parts. IF you were to open the device, you would void any warranty associated, and Apple would no longer offer ANY service on the device (including out of warranty service).

Calendars not syncing between different devices or iCloud!

Calendars will not Syncing with iCloud or other Devices!!! Entries made on my iMac or iPhone 6 will not Sync with each other, or iCloud Calendar. However entries made in iCloud calendar will sync with both devices!

Sync app results between different devices

Hello,
I have and iPodTouch and since some weeks an iPhone4. I already bought several apps like "cut the rope", "angry birds", ... and started playing them on the iPodTouch. Now I changed to the iPhone and like to take over the reached results of the different games. How can I do this?
Is anybody there having an answer, I don't find one.

I believe if you use IMAP for GMAIL, this will occur automatically ( in the account- specific view, lower on the left hand side, in Mail).
IMAP syncs folders automatically, regardless of the clinet machine type.
The complication is that the main folders you see in MAIL are in fact "smart folders" that aggregate all your accounts. I'm nto sure how this maps to custom folders that you create.....

Why do my pictures transfer through photostream between IOS devices but not my PC i have 830 pictures on my ipad/iphone but only 37 on my pc

I have 830photos on my ipad which have synced with my iphone but they do not sync with my computer (PC). some of the ones on my PC did sync a long time ago but now they dont. can you help with this. once before I had ths problem and had to unistall the cloud and re-install to get the pictures to sync. This is a pain and I realy dont fell I should have to keep doing this.

If I go to the My Account Settings (clicking on my name on the Home page of iCloud) the Apple ID indicates [email protected]
That is not my Apple ID (at least as far as I am concerned!)
As I indicated, my iCloud email account in the iCloud web page only shows a few very old emails, none more recent than early August.
The iCloud control panel on my PC is the most current as of today.
Keep the ideas coming.

How to transfer app data between two different game center accounts?

Hello, I really need some help.
I have looked all over the web for ways to transfer apps between two different game center accounts and different devices. Several weeks ago I started playing Campus Life on my relative's Ipad 2, therefore spending many long hours to get to this point in the game.
The problem is I just got an Iphone 5 and I really would like to transfer the data onto it, so that I would not need to start all over again.
My grandma has an account (Game Center) onto which the data has been saved and I would like to have it stored onto mine. On some forum someone said to sign into the account which has the data on both devices and to then open up the game on the new device. It worked. Then I signed out and logged in with my own account- the game started from scratch. I panicked. I went back on the other account, and the data reappeared. I have been going back and forth, the game changing as many times. I thought it would ask to back up my grandma's data on mine but I was wrong. I can not seem to save the game onto my new account, and I have even tried to back it up to Itunes and then copy it onto my phone after having signed into my own account. And I don't know how to properly use Icloud. I am a mess. I am completely lost and have found no help on the web. (All people seem to have to deal with is sharing Apple IDs with different Game Center Accounts for the kids and transferring apps from one of their devices to another.)
I am so worried I am going to mess up and will lose the whole thing completely.
I have just started another game with my own account but since I am using my grandma's, the data is erased. It's one or the other but I definitely prefer saving Campus Life. I do not like the idea of having to only pick one.
I do not know any technical terms, so if you understand or even have the slightest clue about what I am talking about, I applaud you.
This seems like mission impossible, so if anyone can help in any way, I would be really grateful.

Failed to transfer saved ebooks in ADE between PCs (with the same Adobe ID)

I have download and saved ebooks at ADE (with authorized Adobe ID) at my office's pc, however, authorizing the same Adobe ID at my home PC, I failed to find those ebooks I saved at my office pc. Whats wrong?

I don't think the Adobe infrastructure will ever automatically copy ebooks between devices registered with the same ID.
You need to do the copying yourself explicitly.
Accessing a DRM eBook is a two step process.
Download .acsm file from whatever source (vendor, library, ...). That is just a metadata file about the book and the purchase/loan.
Download DRM .epub file (or .pdf if you are unlucky). Typically done with ADE. The server will create a DRM file specific to the registered AdobeID.
You should then be able to copy the .epub file to another device (computer, dedicated eReader or tablet with eReader software) registered with the same AdobeID, and read the .epub there.

I'm not sure if you can copy the .acsm file and redownload another DRM file for the same purchace or loan on a different machine.

Usually copying is a standard process using a file manager such as Windows Explorer.
The iPad infrastructure likes to make life hard for the user, so copying to an iPad has to be done indirectly: for example using Dropbox, iTunes or by emailing a file to yourself.

Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

I just received an OEM copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 with my Canon Pixma Pro 100 Printer. What exactly is OEM. Is it a full version? Can I transfer files between different computers?

OEM means "Original Equipment Manufacturer", or in your case, Canon (not Adobe) is providing the software. It is identical to what you can buy from Adobe. It is the full version (that's the only version of Lightroom that exists)
Transfer files between different computers ... this is not a function of Lightroom. Lightroom neither helps nor prevents you from transferring files from one computer to another.

[SOLVED]Simple file transfer between different os'es

I'm searching for some kind of simple file transfer between different computers/os (mainly arch and windows) on local net, without I have to set up any samba/ftp server etc. It would be perfect if i could select a file I want to transfer and then be able to receive it on a different computer.
So far I've tried giver but I most of the times they can't find each other.
Any know how I could archive something like the a bow?

Try using simple file sharing through http server 'oneliner's.
- Note your host IP (which I refer to by "ip.of.your.server"),
- Go under your directory where you want to share files and fire a command line :
Using python : python2 -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000
And you can access your files on the network using http://ip.of.your.server:8000/
Using php : php -S localhost:8080 -t webrootpath/
Files under webrootpath/ will be accessible from http://ip.of.your.server:8888/
Using mongoose : mongoose -r . -p 8888
Files will be accessible from http://ip.of.your.server:8888/
You may restrict access, ie.: -l -0.0.0.0/0,+10.60.100.105
And have access/error logging (à la apache) too : -a access_log.txt -e error_log.txt
NB.: You may install python or php under windows but mongoose is the easiest thing when it comes to windows -> linux.

Here are internal service sales between different departments in the same medical center. For example: Radiology center/department sells X-rays services for the cardiology center. We need the ability to sell a service to a different department in a different price than to an external payer/customer/insurance provider.
Is it possible to implement profit center transfer prices along with the ISH_CO integration?,
How is it getting along with the posting of internal activity allocation when services transfer to Controlling?
At standard the costs are allocated (by means of internal activity allocation) between profit centers. The responsible cost center (assigned to the performing organization unit) is credited and the case based order (which is assigned to different profit center) is debited.
Is it possible to implement transfer prices in case the performing organizational units are connected to the same profit center? (because some of departments are subdivided to several medical organizational units; and each unit represents a different cost center at the same profit center/department).
Do you recommend defining a different profit center also for each sub-department?
Do you have any other proposed solution for this issue?.
