Transfer to XXL

Hai,
   In the transaction MC$4-Vendor analysis. After executing the report, I need it transfer to XXL (choose the characteristics, I selected vendor),all data transfered  to excel except Vendor
It is like that,
Vendor          PO value   GR value    InvoiceAmount
(no data)        (data)        (data)        (data)
Any tips ? Points will be given. Thansk in advance.

    Hi Mark,
    his function lets you export the entire report in XXL format (a special format for transferring data to a spreadsheet). This means that all characteristics of the report are available in the Excel List Viewer. This function makes it possible to execute a drilldown report in the Excel List Viewer. This factor distinguishes this function from the one which you can call up with transfer page to XXL
    Note that if you wish to transfer a drilldown list, it may contain no more than 16 384 lines / 256 columns. The exact formula for the data transferred by the application is:
    26 + number of data columns + 5 * ( 1 + number of characteristics) < 256
    As this function transfers all columns in the report list, all columns also go into the formula (not just the columns currently displayed).
    Note that for each column transferred, an additional column is transferred for the unit of measure.
    Prerequisites
    You can only transfer a report to XXL under the following conditions:
    You are displaying a drilldown list in a report. This function is not possible for detail lists due to technical reasons.
    You have set the report display to "Absolute" using the function Settings ® Percentage/absolute. Transfer to XXL is deactivated as soon as you switch the display to "Percentage".
    You chose the setting 'Read all data' in the performance settings for the report. Reports, for which data is dynamically reloaded at each navigation step, cannot be transferred to XXL.
    Procedure
    In a dialog box, choose the characteristics you want to transfer. It is recommended that you choose the option "All characteristics". If the report list is so large that your spreadsheet program cannot process it, you should only choose some of the characteristics.
    When you transfer a report to Microsoft Excel, the data you transfer can consist of up to 16,384 rows or 256 columns. The formula for calculating the amount of data transferred from the application is:
    26 + number of data columns + 5 * (1 + number of characteristics) < 256
    Since this function transfers all the columns of the report list, you can use all the columns in formulas, not just those on the displayed list.
    Note that an additional column for the unit is transferred along with each normal column transferred.
    If you have chosen a characteristic with a hierarchy display, you should note that it is not possible to display hierarchy lists in XXL in the same form as in R/3. The data is therefore transferred as if there were no hierarchical structure for this data.
    If you use an operating system which does not let you operate a spreadsheet program, you can still transfer the report to XXL; however, you can only store the XXL object in SAPoffice or in a PC file.

  • Exporting data to Excel 2007 from SAP report

    Dear all,
    Earlier we used to have Excel 2003 and while downloading data from MC.9 Report - Export - Transfer to XXL, we could able to download the data.
    Now we have installed Excel 2007 and trying to download the data from MC.9 report, its opening excel, but no data is being copied,,, blank excel sheet,,,, further we could not able to download the data.
    Is there any setting need to be done in SAP reporting or excel 2007 to download the data to Excel 2007.

    Pl. go through the following step.
    1. Execute MC.9
    2. Select (click on) key figure column
    3. Select  Time series Button (CtrlShiftF4)
    Now seperate window will come.
    4. Select the button Save to PC file (shift+F8)
    By this procedure you can download to excel

  • Report similar to MC$4 that does not show absolute values

    Hi all,
    We need a report similar to Report similar to MC$4 which has the same drilldown capabilities but does not show absolute values, and instead shows the proper (actual) values.
    Or if its possible to change something in the MC$4 report to show the actual values and not the absolute.

    Your input criteria should contain all plant numbers and the period to be analyzed.  Execute the report and then select:  Plant Analysis\Export\Transfer to XXL\Deselect all options and tick Plant, Storage Location and Month.  Follow the options to export to Excel.  Report will be based on Plant, Storage location and Month.

  • Regarding MCBA character selection.

    Hi,
    When I am performing transaction MCBA and selecting all the characteristics like Plant, Storage location, MAterial, Month, Valuation class, MRP controller, etc. When executing the report the output is delivered. But while downloading it via XXL to excel (via menu - Plant analysis -->export --> Transfer to XXL ) system ask to select which characteristics to include in the download.
    But the Field 'Valuation class' is not listed to include in the download. ( all other are dispalys).
    Please help on this issue.

    Your main purpose here is to export file to excel. Why not try second button with arrow sign, save to PC file and then check spreadsheet and press enter, this is better option on exporting files.

  • ALV Excel export format XXL & MHTML

    Hi Experts,
    In the ALV export to Spreadsheet there are several formats to choose from. MHTML follows the screen column order (or as set in fieldcat). But XXL format moves the columns around -- columns with floating number are shifted to the very end of a row.
    Is there a way to make XXL respect the column order as set in the Field Catalog? I know MHTML format can be a workaround. But users have used XXL for most of other reports, I don't want to make an exception.

    Hi Dan,
    no, I don't think so. MHTML is really what-you-see-is-what you get, ABAP uses it internally for the data transfer for inline excel (application running in control area) and everything is retained including sort orders, totals and subtotals and cell colors.
    I think you can get your users used to MHTML. Probably if you rename it to .xls excel will open it anyway.

    Due to some personal issues I created multiple apple id accounts. I accidently added itunes credit to the account not associated with an app that I want to make a purchase on. Is there anyway I can transfer those funds to the proper account ?

    Apple has never permitted any form of merging of Apple ID related accounts.  All apps, and purchases in one account are permanently tied to that account and cannot be transfered to another.

    i have to create a transfer structure.
    in dso and cube i have 27 fields.
    but in tranfer structure it is showing 50 fields.
    i have to select the 27 fields out of 50 or i have to activate 50 fields in transfer structure.

    Hi,
    Basically when creating the transfer structure you need to map the transfer structure fields with the ODS/Cube fields that are present in the communication structure.
    You just need to Transfer the fields, that you have identified in Data source to the transfer structure and map the relevant fields in the Transfer structure.
    Once the mapping is done. Just activate the Transfer structure.
    Most importatnt would be to decide on the mapping between data source and Communication structure fields.

  • Mid Month Transfer Issue in Payroll

    Hello All
    Good Day!
    We have two payrolls defined, Payroll A and Payroll B and both has separate Legal entity but Business Group for both Payroll is same. We are having an issue when employee transfers from Payroll A to B or vice versa as mentioned below :
    1) Lets assume Employee transfers from Payroll A to Payroll B as on 17 Oct 2012.
    2) As Business Group is same , employee remain in the same BG.
    3) So we tried to terminate the employee as on 17-Oct-2012 and re-hired as on 18-Oct-2012 in the Payroll B. We need two IRP5 (tax certificate) so we need to terminate the employee from one payroll and reinstate in new payroll.
    4)) We have most of the recurring element configured to Terminate as Last Standard Process so all the recurring elements ended as on 31-Oct-2012, i think this should have been Actual Termination Date but as Payroll is running from last 2 years so this will be too big to change now.
    5) Now when we process the payroll as on 31-Oct-2012, employee got full month salary in Payroll A which is not correct as employee worked up to 17-Oct-2012.
    6) To avoid full month Salary, we changed the Last Standard Process to 17-Oct-2012 so all elements ended as on 17-Oct-2012 but now when we process the payroll as on 31-Oct-2012, employee is getting picked up but no element processed and no balance generated. Don’t know why ?
    Could you please provide your input as what is the best practice to handle this mid month transfer ?

    =>I guess.. The "Final Process Date" set as 31-Oct-2012 when you end this employee, isn't it?
    Actual Termination Date will let person end at this date, that's mean person record's effective_end_date will equal to the Actual Termination Date and create a new person record after Actual Termination Date.
    Last Standard Process Date let all elements ended as this date.
    Final Process Date means you can process payroll run before this date, and the assignment record's effective_end_date will equal to Final Process Date. That's why your payroll run includes this person. There's no elements because all elements ended on 17-Oct-2012, system doesn't get any element on 31-Oct-2012.

  • How can I make sure my history doesn't expire and that I can transfer over places.sqlite?

    There's probably alot of questions on this subject asked already but I've gone over just about all of the possibly relevant ones that've been already asked and I still can't figure out what to do. I'm trying to move my complete history from an XP Firefox profile over to a Windows 7 profile on another computer. Do I just do it by copying the places.sqlite file within that XP profile over into my USB flash drive, then replacing the places.sqlite in the Winodws 7 profile with the one from the other one? And after the file's in the right profile will I be able to just view all the sites I viewed on the old computer on the new one's history dialog box? I only am transferring my XP history to my Windows 7 because I want to look at stuff several months back and it keeps expiring on me, even to the point of getting rid of a month of history a week or so ago. This brings me to my other point, I keep up fairly well with updating both of my Firefoxes but recently (and I think this was way, way after they updated the browser so the history isn't set to expire by days anymore) the history just isn't reliable anymore. My XP will not only expire older months of history faster and faster it seems, but individual websites at the end of each month will actually disappear as I view new ones, instead of it all staying in there and just expiring each old month as a whole. Also, random sites in every month scattered all over the list of URLs will just disappear, and random sites that I've only visited in the past couple days will insert themselves randomly into much older months of history, which makes it hard to figure out the URLs I've seen, this last one seems like a common problem from what I've read, and all of these problems seem to be slowly creeping into my Windows 7 as well when they were originally on only my XP. The thing is for a very long time my Windows 7 would keep every ounce of my history that I kept on it, unless of course I went through the Clear History process myself. Now it seems to be slowly deleting it and having all the other problems that I mentioned earlier. I've got 592 GB out of 931 GB that's free space on my Windows 7 that I want to transfer my XP history into, and my Control Panel System panel says I've got 8 gbs of RAM in total. If I need to get some other information on RAM mention how to do that if you could. So in total, how can I transfer my XP history over into my Windows 7 so I can view all the sites I viewed on my XP in my Windows 7 history panel, as well as view all the old expired and/or manually deleted history on my Windows 7, without worrying about whether it will expire itself while I'm viewing it and writing down the relevant URLs that I need to know about. If I can only keep all my history through installing an add-on, a link to a relevant legal add-on that'll work well on both operating systems would be appreciated. Thanks to all here. (:

  • How can I get all music "tags" to transfer when transferring an iTunes library?

    OK, here's my situation:  I have accumulated about 250GB of music on iTunes on a laptop running Windows 7.  The hard drive was running out of room, and I wanted to upgrade computers.  So I bought a Mac Book with 1TB of hard drive space.
    To transfer my library (which includes about equal parts iTunes purchases and imported CDs), I copied the entire iTunes folder onto an external hard drive, and then used the "add folder" function on iTunes to add the entire library to my new computer.  I knew I would lose all data such as last played, most played, etc.  And I knew from past experience that merely transferring the iTunes folder, including the iTunes library file, to the new computer hard drive (without using the "add folder to library" function) would not mean that the new computer would automatically behave as if the exact same library from the old computer was on the new computer.  I hope I am explaining this right.
    My problem/question is: many of the music files came over without some of the tags that were on the files in the old computer.  This happened with respect to some, but not all, of the imported CD files.  (I had used the MP3 format when I ripped these.)  The song titles are still there, but many of the tracks say "unknown album" for that artist or, worse, just say "unknown album" AND "unknown artist."  Because I have accumulated so much music over the years, it would take me quite a while to re-tag all he music files with all the missing info.   Again, I'm lucky to have the files, and my iPods containing the music have not yet been synced to the new computer, so I could just manually check what I had on the old iPods and re-add/re-tag the files that were problems.  I  know having such a large folder could itself be the problem.  But adding folders to the computer one at a time does not seem to help, as the "unknown" issue keeps happening even then.
    So my conclusions are that one of the following has happened:  either there is another way to import a large library that I should try (Apple migration assistant, maybe?), or I somehow made the transfer from the old computer onto the external hard drive in the wrong way and I'm stuck with things as they are (which would not be terrible, just inconvenient) or there is some limitation in the software of music services that results in many "unknowns" showing up.  These were not obscure records, and iTunes/Gracenote recognized 99% of them just fine when I imported them, but I remember from using Windows Media Player that it was pretty hit-or-miss at times in terms of the right tags being assigned to songs.
    Yes, I probably have spent way too much time over the years on my music.  But if there is something I can learn from this, I'd be happy to hear about it, either to fix things easily now or the next time I transfer music.  (Again, all the files had all the correct tags on my old computer, before I copied them.)  I thank anyone who replies very much, in advance!

    Just to update: the solution above works.  I had tried to "import" all my files into the new computer rather than just copying and pasting the old iTunes folder into the new computer.  This second, easier, solution is much, much better than re-importing all the songs.  Seems like those little files included in an existing iTunes folder are very, very important!  Without them, I would have had hundreds and hundreds of "unknown" files to re-tag.  As it was, when I copied and pasted the existing iTunes folder into the new computer and opened iTunes, all the files were there, complete with all the date added/date played/number of plays/etc. information from my old computer.  (For some reason, this didn't work when I transferred from PC to PC, but that was several years ago and not a transfer to a Mac.)  I did seem to lose album artwork for a number of albums I had imported rather than purchased, and there was other cleanup to do on a small percentage of files.  But that was a vry small amount of work compared to re-tagging from scratch.  Thanks again for your help.

    SE01 - Create button - Workbench request - Give description and save
    Select the created request and click on Display object list.
    Click on Display - Change button
    Insert line button

    Double click on the table name
    Insert line
    Key: *
    Save everything
    Release the transport in SE10 transaction and transport with STMS transaction.
