Transfer Video/TV shows from another computer

I was on a trip in LA and downloaded TVshows to my husband's computer who does not have an IPOD and I could not transfer the videos to my IPOD? What do I do?

Connect your iPad to your Mac. In the iTunes window under the Summary tab, select, "Manually manage music and videos" just below Options.
Select the TV shows.
Then drag the the shows directly to your iPad under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window.
*Before you disconnect your iPad*, right or control click to Eject the device.

Short version: iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store on your iPhoneh to your computer. It treats all other music and video syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased through iTunes from your iPhone to your computer).

You know, in the one screen capture, from the old computer, we can see that the photo has the keyword "bees"
In the other screen capture, from the new computer, we cannot see the keyword "bees"
And better yet, show us the Keywording Panel instead of the Keyword List Panel
I am also concerned that you are showing us the original catalog on the new computer that you created via importing the photos. That's not what we want to see.
So please confirm that you are using the catalog file that was copied from the old computer, and when placed on the new computer, you double-clicked on that exact catalog file, and then created the screen capture. Please confirm that you are NOT looking at the catalog you created by importing the photos.

Hi there. Pretty simple question, hoping to get an answer.
I have two laptops and am trying to get my tv shows from one computer to the other. I used a memory stick to transfer them to begin with, but once they're onto the other computer, they won't pull up. They don't even register. Is there a way to get them to play without having to purchase them all over again?

You can only burn TV Shows as data CD/DVD. You cannot edit the DRM protected files.

To authorize a computer to play purchases using your Apple Account
Select a song, video, or audiobook you've purchased (in your library or the Purchased playlist).
Click the Play button.
If the computer is already authorized, the item plays. If the computer has not yet been authorized, iTunes asks you to enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the song.
From what I can read it doesn't state that you need internet access to authorize.
If indeed internet access is needed then I guess that you will need to transport the computer to a location that has internet access and authorize the computer.

Make a smart playlist of your whole library but only checked songs - #4 on http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1801
Highlight all files in that playlist, then drag to the other drive. This isn't preserving any playlists or whatever, just copying files from one drive to another.
You might want to delete the smart playlist this once you are done because it will probably gobble up resources with that many files.

Jolly Giant hasn't posted in around a year...
These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.
