Transfered CS5 From old MacBook to MacBookAir Error 6

Hi, I transfered my CS5 I purchased less than 2 years ago from my old Mac to my New MacBook Air and it call for Error 6 requesting to be reinstalled. I do not have the CD software that came with my package and don't have any screenames relating to Adobe, how can I have this back on my computer. IT was expensive!

remove everything you moved to your new computer.
then follow all 7 steps and download the trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html
then properly install cs5.5 using your serial number to activate.
if you see a download error page, you didn't follow all 7 steps. re-read and re-try.

Probably the most straightforward way to get iTunes onto your new computer is to network the two and copy your iTunes folder across. Copying the whole folder brings with it the iTunes Music folder and also the iTunes Library (iTunes Library.itl in Windows) database file which holds all the information about your songs (Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, Last Played, Date Added, etc). When you copy the iTunes folder make sure you put it into the same location on the new computer. This has to be the exact same place, on a Mac this would be in Username/Music/. When you open iTunes on the new computer it will be the same as on the original one Songs, Playlists, Play Counts, Ratings etc. When I moved iTunes a while ago for my daughter I was also using the same version of iTunes, not sure how important that is but it's probably worth keeping them the same.

Reoccuring HANGING problem with transferring files from old MACBOOK

ok, so I recently bought a iMac and i wanted to transfer my music and photo files from my older (waterdamaged a while back but still works fine) macbook. I've tried basically every method to try and get this done.
I've tried migration assistant, transferring the files through a shared wireless network, through firewire/disk target mode, but all of those methods i tried resulted in hanging very early on in the transferring and copying operation.
I believe it must have something to do with my macbook's hard drive, but i have no idea what to do at this point. Could someone please help me?

the thing is tho, the hard drive had no problems copying and transferring for over a year after the damage, while i continued to use it. I don't a reason why it wouldn't work now when i finally want to move a larger number of files at once (itunes music folder, iphoto library)

I am wondering whether i need to update my macbook pro to maverick prior to transfer? Its quite old, and not sure it can handle it.
Should I use time machine or migration assistant?

No. Just migrate your files - the Home folder. You would only need to upgrade the old machine if you cannot get the two to talk to one another over your local network connections. By all means use your Time Machine backup via Migration Assistant.

Call Apple, you have 30 days of free support.
I tell you this because Apple doesn't think anything is wrong with Migration Assistant, but it's loaded with problems and we volunteers are tired of handling their problems for free.
Call them, make Apple fix it, it's their screwup.
Once they see it's costing them money, perhaps they will quit using it or fix it.
Sorry about the rant, but you can help solve the problem, Apple doesn't pay attention here, it's moderated and that's about it.

Unless you transfer the files from Setup Assistant, Migration Assistant creates a new user with the data.
To transfer the files to your first user, you have to log on this new user, and copy all your files to /Users/Shard folder. This is a folder where you can put the files you want to share between two or more users, and all users can read and write in it.
After copying the files, go to your first user, open /Users/Shared folder, and copy the files to your user folders. If you migrated applications, you must know that they are stored in a common folder (/Applications), so you don't have to transfer them. To open /Users/Shared folder, open Go menu (in the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type the folder

Change your settings in Sharing preferences, for one, and remove the server out of the Finder's sidebar. Obviously, this is the result of transfering all your other computer's preferences to your new computer.

the whole process depends on a number of factors, but generally takes more than 10 minutes and less than 2 hours. the biggest factor is your download speed if you need to download the installation file(s).

I don't have internet access - I can't email it, or mobileme it, or dropbox it.
