Transfering Adobe XI to new computer

I just got a new computer and wondering how to transfer Acorbat XI pro.

Hi Chris,
I'd like to assist!
I have a couple questions:
1) What OS are you using? MAC or WIN?
2) Have you installed your copy of Acrobat XI Pro on any other computers?
3) Have you registered Acrobat and do you have your Serial Number?
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Regards, Stacy

  • Transferring Adobe programs to new computer

My seven-year-old 24-in. iMac just died.  I've replaced it with a 27-in. iMac.  On my old computer I had CS3, CS6 and Lightroom.  I'm unable, however, to download any of those programs into my new computer (although with Lightroom I'm able to use it, temporarily, by clicking on the thirty-day trial).  I have the serial numbers for CS3 and Lightroom, but with CS6 I see the 16-digit Product Code but not the 24-digit serial number.  Help!!

For LR, you’d need to download and install perpetual-license version not the cloud version.  You can download this from the Adobe Updates page, and be sure to uninstall the cloud version, first:
    http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
    CS3 downloads are available, here:
    http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html
For a CS6 serial number, if you registered it with Adobe, then you can find it under Manage Account after you log into adobe.com, and if not you may be able to get Adobe to help you with the Chat option:

  • Transferring Adobe ID to new computer

One of my Team members is getting a new computer. Her existing machine has Adobe CC active and installed. How do I move that same Adobe ID to her new computer?

    Hi HEA01,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
A single subscription can be used on 2 machines. However, you can launch
any CC product and click on help>sign out and it would be deactivated.
You can download the product on the new system from creative.adobe.com
    Thanks

  • I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC transfer program. CS5 started up on the new computer OK, but now does not recognize raw files. Should I uninstall and reinstall again?

I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC mover ultimate. CS5 appeared to start up normally, I had to insert the serial number from my original CD. However, now the program does not recognize CR files and Adobe bridge is not working properly.  I get messages that CS5 needs to be updated, but the updates fail. What should I do? Should I uninstall CS5 on the new computer, uninstall CS5 on the old computer using the original CD, and then reinstall CS5 using the CD on the new computer?

Transferring programs does not work well with Adobe applications.  You should install them.
As far as having the program on different machines goes, you are allowed to have two activated installations so if it is working on the original machine there is no reason to remove it unless you need the space.

  • Transferring Elements to a new computer

I downloaded Photoshop Elements a couple years ago and just bought a new Mac. Can I transfer Elements and Bridge to my new Mac? I put the files on a drive and transferred it to my new computer, but they aren't working right. Any suggestions?

What is the version of Elements you are trying to install. And also program cannot be migrated from one computer to another, you have to install it to make it work.

  • Transferring camera roll into new computer.

So... I got my laptop stolen and decided to get a new one. The thing is that I can't seem to download the Photo Library pictures from my old computer that are stored in my iphone, into the new laptop... is there anyway i can do that?
    Thanks!
    J.

Photos captured by your iPhone and a photo saved from a received email, from a website, or from a received MMS are stored in your iPhone's Camera Roll. Photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
The title of your post is "Transferring camera roll into new computer" which you aren't asking about. You are asking about importing or transferring photos from your iPhone's Photo Library, which is completely separate from and has nothing to do with the Camera Roll.
Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process are stored in your iPhone's Photo Library, which is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on your iPhone as part of the iTunes transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced on your iPhone.
Photos stored on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only which should be kept in a separate location from your laptop in the event it is lost or stolen. The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device.
There are some 3rd party paid utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction, but such utilities are not supported by Apple and the original resolution of these photos will be lost in the process.

  • Can't open Raw files after transferring CS5 to my new computer

I just transferred cs5 to my new imac computer using my time machine backup. I now get a "photoshop does not recognize this file type" when I try to open a raw file from photoshop. When I try to open my raw files through bridge I get the message "you do not have permission to open the document. I have checked my permission preferences and have reading and writing permissions and updated to 6.7 ACR. I dont know what to do next?

    Curt,
I have an imac OSX 10.8.2. So is the application folder the correct location for the CS5 folder? There is a lot of unclear information about this out on the web.
Everything I loaded today has a CS5.1 name to it. I assumed that it was an updated version from my original CS5? If I click on the CS5 folder located in my user file it opens photoshop (probally means its not uninstalled... hum). I cant access it through utilities/adobe installers/uninstall CS5. So maybe I should do the Script cleaner like you mentioned? Or maybe CS5 and CS5.1 are the same program like you mentioned?
When I follow the path to camera raw you mentioned I get to a photoshop raw "pop up" but ACR doesnt open up. Are you asking for me to locate the Camera Raw plug in folder or look for multiples of the file inside my plugins folder? Their isnt a ACR file in my CS5 file that I found in my user folder or the CS5.1 file in my applications folder. Where would I typically find it? Im having a hard time finding it at all.
Im on my 2nd day of troubleshooting and Ive read so many articles and help threads. Ive had a call back order requested from adobe... Im still waiting 3 hours later. Im afraid they might just reject my request for help since I dont have CS6. You have by far been the best help Ive found. Thank you very much! If you can think of anything else to resolve this please let me know. Im so frusterated at this point... trying to be positive though, Im learning alot.

  • Transferring CS3 to a new computer

Hello! I am switching all of my programs over from a MacBook to a new MacBook Pro for school. I was wondering if anyone could tell me in detail how I should go about transferring my CS3. I heard somewhere that it will not transfer using Migration Assistant alone, and that I have to deactivate it and then reactivate it somehow on the new computer? If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it, I've tried looking up the tutorials and such on the adobe site and I can't find them. Thanks!

    Nick:
I can't remember the exact procedure, since it's been a while. But, after I had "cloned" my work station as an emergency back up, just in case, I pretty much just launched the Migration Assistant program and followed it's procedures. It involves hooking up both computers with a firewire cable and re-booting up in migration mode. It will tell you what to do on screen.
I seem to remember after I was done there was some minor tweaking I had to do to get the new station to launch everything. I believe in some situations if just meant copying some preferences from the old station to the new station. (Which is wise to "clone" because the migration doesn't copy exactly ALL the files to the new machine")
A GREAT resource on the best way to go about this can be found at:

  • Transferring program to a new computer via CD

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements9 on my laptop...I have only used it on my laptop ( it might have been installed on an older laptop too)  I want to transfer this to
my new laptop but it says the serial number is not valid and it may say I have used the discs twice.. I do not want to buy a new program
How can I transfer this to my new computer?  I have not used this as much as Adobe Photoshop (earlier version) which is also on my computer.
I seem to revert back to that. I do use computers a lot but this transferring files etc is frustrating!  Someone told me I need to deactivate
the program on my old computer but  I am unsure  about that as I want to have at least one working program as I am scanning family photos

My PC "died" but I was able to deactivate my Adobe Acrobat Pro.
My new computer is a Mac but I run windows 7 on it.
I Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro but my serial number will not activate. I Logged in to Adobe and verified my number. What now?
How can I "talk to" a support person about this?

    Hi GingerVero,
Please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
What error do you get when you try to activate?
Also give me the serial number and I wll check it for you.
Send me a private message. Do not post it here.

  • Adobe freezing on new computer?!

    Hi,
I recently bought a new computer for my video editing. Its an HP, p6340f with a Core 2 Quad Q8400 (Y) 2.66 GHz processor and an Intel G43 Express chipset. (Its Windows 7)  My boss installed Adobe Premeire Pro CS4 on my computer and it keeps on freezing. I literally can work for about 1 minute before the program freezes and shuts down. I have tried turning off my anti-virus but it has not helped. Does anyone know why this may be happening? I am going crazy!
    Thanks!

  • I have transferred my music to new computer but music is not showing in iTunes - although is on the computer as if I select a song from the folder it will play that song via iTunes. How can I get my music to show?

I have transferred my music to a new computer following the instructions carefully but for whatever reason the music does not show on iTunes on the new computer. The music is there as I can access it via My Computer and if I select a song it will show in iTunes and play - however I can not do this for every single track! Can anyone suggest something I have done wrong????

Media was moved via external hard disk, and I think I moved the iTunes Media folder after consolidating it.

  • I have music in iTunes that was purchased with an account that no longer exists. I'm transferring music to a new computer so the new iTunes is asking me to sign in to the old account to authorize the old music. Is there a work-around for this?

Just to clarify: I purchased some of my older music in iTunes with an account that got deleted. I cannot recover or use this old account. I transferred music from my old iTunes to a new computer and that new iTunes on the new computer is asking me to sign into the old account to authorize the music. So, is there another way to transfer this music to my new iTunes? I'm using a USB thumb drive to transfer the music. Also, music that was purchased with my current account tranfers just fine.
