Transfering Apps purchased in iTunes form a PC to a MAC

I currently have my iTunes library on my work issued DELL laptop. I have also have a first generation 16GB iPhone. I have dozens of Applications on the iPhone that I purchased in iTunes. I need to return my PC, and I wanted to know if there was a way to transfer my purchased Apps from my PC to iTunes on my iBook G4. Please help?!

One other quick side note--the iTunes App store purchases on my iPhone have been synced to my PC laptop. Will I still be able to use the procedure you outlined even though the computers are two different operating systems (ie synched to PC, but need to migrate to MAC)?

Do you mean via your computer's iTunes ? If you do then no, you can only do so within the app on your device.

  • If I buy an in app purchase with iTunes account "B" on my ipad, while logged into a different gamecenter, will it show up on Apple ID "A" email?

If I buy an in app purchase with iTunes account "B" on my ipad, while logged into a different gamecenter, will it show up on Apple ID "A" email? I am trying to buy an in app purchase for Clash Of The Clans. My gamecenter is associated with Apple Account "A", but if I purchase the in app purchase under Apple Account "B", will it show up in Apple Account "A" email, due to it being associated via gamecenter? Please reply!

No. An in-app purchase can only be made through the same iTunes Store account that the game was originally purchased through and will be linked only to that account. Receipts will be mailed only to the email address associated with that Apple ID. What Game Center account the game is linked to will be, to the best of my knowledge, irrelevant.
    Regards.

I've been struggling with a similar issue myself and just figured it out.  Some of my content had been purchased with an older Apple ID that I don't use any more.  When I authorized my second computer, I only authorized it for my new Apple ID, not my old one.  When I tried to copy my library to the new computer, many songs, apps, etc. reported the error "could not be copied because this computer is not authorized".  It drove me crazy because I knew the computer was authorized and much of my library came over just fine.
Finally I selected some of the problem items, selected "Get Info" from the menus, and saw that they were all purchased by my old Apple ID.  I then authorized my old Apple ID on my new computer, and all of my files are copying correctly now.
Would be great if the message said something like "...because this computer is not authorized for Apple ID [email protected]"

  • Apps purchased on itunes not syncing with iphone

I recently purchased some apps from the App Store using iTunes but when I synced it with my iPhone it didn't work. This is the first time it's happened. All the other times I purchased apps through my macbook, they synced perfectly once I connected my iPhone, except for the ones I downloaded last night. I tried downloading them straight from the App Store in my iPhone, and when asked "You already purchased this, would you like to download it again for free?" I clicked Ok, but still nothing happened. Now I have five apps missing which I paid for and haven't even used.
Any suggestions as to what else I should try?

Similar problem. Apps downloaded to iTunes do not sync to my iPhone (Edge/2.0) despite clicking "Sync" in iTunes. The icons do not appear on the iPhone. My account shows the apps ordered in the receipt, but they only remain on my Mac.
Workaround: I had to download the apps directly (wirelessly) to the iPhone. I did not restart the iPhone.
Expected behaviour: the apps should appear on the iPhone after syncing with iTunes.

  • HT4009 Can you buy in-app purchases with itunes giftcard money?

I want to buy an in-app purchase and I have a $10 gift certificate in my account. If I buy an in-app purchase, will it be deducted from the gift card total?

I tried it and it worked.  It has used my itunes credit for an in-app purchase.
It hasn’t worked for me before so I was sceptical but apple have fixed their bug and it works now within the game I used to make the purchase.
    I hope this helps!

  • How to download an app purchased in Itunes on home computer?

How do I download this app?  When I plug phone into computer my comp wants to recognize a new device and then prompts me to respond to software issues.  I am sceptical about this because I don't want to mess up the phone.  Anyone have any ideas?  Is this safe?

Let me get this straight, you want to install an application you purchased from iTunes on a Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone?
Itunes has applications for Mac and Apple iOS devices. The Samsung Galaxy S III is an android device. Applications for Android devices come from the Google Play Store. Itunes applications are incompatible with Android devices. You can check the Play Store for version of the application suitable for your device.

  • HT4009 can i turn off in-app purchases through itunes

  • TS1702 I have 10$ credit on my account and I'm attempting to make an in-app purchase; however, iTunes is saying I have no credit and is attempting to use my credit card. How can I resolve this?

How an I fix it to accept my credit, instead of my card?

How much is the in-app purchase you wish to make? Is it possible that with sales taxes, charged on most states if you're in the US, would push the price over $10? If so, and all you have is $10 in your balance, then the iTunes Store will require a credit card for the remainer of the cost.

  • HT4009 How do I make an in-app purchase using iTunes card and not a credit card? Please Help!

I can't make an in-app purchase in the app game Campus Life. iTunes goes to the credit card and I don't have a credit card, and so an error shows up insufficient funds. I have money in my iTunes account from the gift card. How do I buy through iTunes not through a Credit card? I didn't see anything on iTunes/apple account that will let me change it. I see other people can get gems or whatever through iTunes in-app. Please help ASAP! Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with the cards app by Apple. Someone please help!

  • Trouble transferring videos purchased in iTunes to video iPod

I found this to be a bit curious. I just purchased the White Stripes' "Hardest Button to Button" video in iTunes (along with 4 other music videos from other bands), and I was unable to transfer the file to my video iPod (the other four videos transferred without problem). The message said that it could not be played on this iPod. Is this a widespread or unique problem? I thought all videos purchased on iTunes were compatible with the video iPod, if not, is there a way to determine this before purchasing? Is there a way to solve this problem without purchasing additional software?

Unhelpful boilerplate response from the iTunes customer service team below. I have all of the updates (for iTunes & video iPod) and still no luck. I've even done the restore to factory settings thing, and also, no luck.
Has anybody else encountered this quirk (see my original question) and managed to work around it without purchasing any additional software?
