Transfering files to an iPhone 2g from my desktop

My employer provides me with an iphone 3g, which is great. but I can't put my own apps on it, which isn't so great. I have an older iphone 2g with no cell phone plan I would like to use for personal apps, documents, photos and such. I can download apps through my desktop and the USB cable, but I can't transfer files from my desktop. I tried right-clicking the file, and clicking send to - iphone. I get an error message: "Cannot copy item. Device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." I also opened Libraries/Toms iPhone window and tried a drag and drop. Same result. Turning on the phone manually didn't help. None of the document types I tried would transfer.
I'm running Windows 7 on my desktop.

The 2g phone has very limited capability due to inability to update it's iOS past 3.x. I'm not sure there's a problem with the phone, but rather a limitation of the older iOS.

This sounds like the 100andro album was created on the PC and synced from the computer. The best option would be to move the unwanted images from the album you are syncing. The other option would be to create an album specifically for your iOS device, put photos you want in that album and only sync that album.
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
Click Apply.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Problem transferring file to non-sap system from R/3

I used one Z function module to transfer file to non-SAP system as follows.

I am getting message 'file has transferred successfully'. But it is not found on destination system.Can anyone please tell me the reason.

Hi,
You can use transaction code SNOTE to see whether a particuler OSS note is implemented or not.
First navigate to GOTO> Download SAP Note and import the OSS note to your system.
Then navigate to GOTO > SAP Note Browser and check the status of the OSS note, it will show whether it is implemented in your system or not.
Also in the OSS note, there is release specific information. You can check whether that OSS note is applicable to your release or not.

I have recently recieved a new iPhone. I sync'd my old phone, When i plugged in my new phone to iTunes everything was transferred other than the pictures and now i cannot seem to find them anywhere.
Does any have any suggestions on how to retrieve the pictures and put them on my new iPhone?

Your pics should be on your comptuer. Just sync them to the iphone.

How can I remove icons from the Finder sidebar? Were transferred when I set up laptop from my desktop computer. Tried dragging off but that didn't work.

How can I remove icons from the Finder sidebar? Transferred info from my Mac Pro desktop computer (using target mode) and there were folder icons on the Mac Pro Finder sidebar that are now on the MacBook Finder sidebar, even though these folders do not exist on the MacBook. Tried to drag them off, which is the usual way to get rid of folders that the user adds to the sidebar (as opposed to those that can be added via the Customize Toolbar dropdown menu) but was unsuccessful. I then unchecked all of the Customize Toolbar menu items and the folder icons still remained. What else can I do?

Did you hold the Command (Apple) key while dragging them off the sidebar? That usually makes them go *poof*.

PDF files merging on print command from windows desktop

I have an application from which I want to genarate PDF documents. The application is installed on my personal desktop. To test the process, I downloaded the Adobe PDF converter driver (free download version) and installed the same on my PC. I used control panel to change my deafult printer settings on my PC as this new PDF converter driver.
Now I logged to my application , where I can select the list of documents to be printed. The application always uses default printer of the PC on which its installed. Hence all the documnets got created as individual PDF files on my desktop. This was great.
However my ultimate requirement is when I select a list of documents using my application and give it for print at one shot, all the documents should come as a single PDf file rather individual files. Or else you can define my requirement as any no of dcouments given for print at one go (or one session) must be generated as 1 single PDF file. Is it possible to adjust the PDF converter driver in some way to accomplish this
I made further investigation into this and found Adobe Acrobat pro 9 is a good software to generate PDF. Will purchasing this and installing this s/w solve my current problem. Please advise.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. The answer has not solved the problem yet. My users don't want to manually merge the files. They want it to happen automatically.
The application which prints documents is a simple MS access database. This is available on users personal desktop. As soon as the user opens the MS access, it is programmed in such a way that, the access database runs as a program. It uses DSN to connect to the sybase database and get the details of documents that are pending for print.
At this point MS accesses database starts an itretive process, fetches the data from sybase , calls the correct report template in MS Access , populates it and prints the report using the default printer on which the database resides. Thus it prints the document one by one. By setting the default printer to Adobe PDF converter, we were successful in creating PDF documents rather than printing to paper , but the disadvantage was each document got printed to one file each.
The whole process is coded as VBA module of MS access. my question is by using an API from Adobe SDK, will I be able to make changes in the VBA code of MS access database so that all files requestd for print comes out as a single PDF file.

Updating IPhone app from the desktop

Hi All, I have written an Iphone application that does some calculations. It stores the data etc on a sqllite database on the iphone.
I also have written an Apple mac software that can use the same database and therefore the user of my iphone application can update the database either on the PC or the Iphone.
Does anyone know how I can update the Iphone database when I have changed the database from my mac? Is it done on Itunes
What I just want to do is to allow the user to update the database both on the PC/Mac or the iPhone. Is this possible?

Transfering files using drag and drop to Nano P

I havent installed the supplied disks that came with my Nano Plus but am transfering files using drag and drop from "my music" folder on my computer to the Nano. These files are stored on my computer as the Name of the Artist as the folder name with a sub folder named the CD title (default setting when using Windows media to rip) with the individual track files in that folder.
When I drag the main folder over to my Nano it just displays the Album title on the screen but not by artist and there is no way to select by artist (you can just switch "folders" on the Nano which will then display the CD title. If I used the supplied software with my Nano to transfer the files will I be able to choose by artist, CD, Genre, etc or is this not a function of the Nano?
Is it best to just select the individual song tracks and throw them in one large group on the Nano and then it can figure out which artist, album, genre they belong to?

The player will only show directories that contain music files.
The behaviour you want is common on players that manage their content with a database (typically HD-based devices), but Creative's flash players don't work that way (and the software used on the host computer doesn't have any influence on this - the user interface is controlled by the player's firmware).

How to upload files/images to the database from a form.

I'm making a custom user profile form.
The users can update their profile in this form.
I cannot use the standard profile form, because the customer got very specific
demands about the context of the profile form.
In this custom profile form the user must be able to upload an image
from their hard disk(just like in the standard profile form).
I've got the following questions about uploading pictures:
- How do I make a button to show the explorer window.
- how do I get the chooses file-name in a field.
- how do I get the new file in the database.
- how do I get rid of an old file in the database.
- how do I get the image on the form.
Or is there a special portal way to upload images/files in a form.
Does anyone have a clue?

Hi,
Regular Portal forms will support upload of images/documents to the database. Just identify your column as a blob, and the 'Browse' button will automatically show up in the form and the users will get to choose the file they want to upload from their desktop.
The thing is, I haven't been able to figure out how to get that document/image back out of the database (e.g. in a report), once it's put in. Maybe someone else can answer that.

After I create say a word document, file it on my desktop and then shut down my machine. The next time I open up the MacBook the file icon has been removed from the desktop. I can still retrieve the file in a folder labeled with the month I created it. But why has the OS removed it from the desktop and how can I stop it happening?
It happens to alias icons as well!
