Transfering modified PDF to iPad

Question

I can transfer a PDF to my iPad2 from my PC (windows 7), via itunes.  If I add text to the original PDF, and resyc it... the new one does not transfer to the ipad.  I can delete the old one from both the ipad and itunes...rename the new one ...add it to itunes & check it is the updated version. Resync the ipad with itunes.  The old one reappears.  No sign of the new one.  Any ideas.  As I said, the updated version is in itunes.  The old one is not.

Import the files into iTunes (if not already there). See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1347
Next, sync the videos to your iPad via iTunes. Select iPad under Devices (Use View > Show Sidebar to see Devices), go to the Movies tab and check the videos you want, then select Sync. Make sure the video is compatible (see below)
