Transfering movies from library to icloud

I moved previous purchases from another computer and added them to my library.  They are stored in my imedia folder on my computer, and show in my library allowing me to download when synced to my computer, but not on my device as being part of the icloud.  How do I get these movies to show available to download from the icloud on my device?

  • Downloading rented movie from library to ATV

I rented a movie from itunes and downloaded it on my laptop. I have not watched the movie yet and I wanted to watch it on Apple TV (ATV). I open my itunes and it is listed on rented movies and gives me an option to "move" from library to ATV (only after I downloaded the new update), but it will not sync to the ATV. The syncing starts but then 10 sec later just returns to the orignal screen without transfer. Suggestions???

Only the newest iPods (Touch, iPhone, Classic, 3rd gen Nano) support rental movies. You've posted in the forum for a much older iPod, one that doesn't supprt videos of any kind. Which iPod do you actually have? When did you buy it?

  • Transferring movies from iTunes to other devices

I purchased two movies from iTunes from my iPad and when I load iTunes on my PC (windows xp) I can see them in my library but I cannot transfer them to any devices such as iPod. It says there is not enough space or something, does this have anything to do with iCloud? How can I get these movies to my iPod?

Nothng at all to do with iCloud.
    Delete items from your iPod.

  • HT2729 iPad storage: moving movies from iPad to iCloud

I'm trying to purchase a movie from iTunes but I get a message that my storage is full on my ipad.  I have over 10GB on iCloud available, how do I move videos from my iPad to iCloud so ill have addionsl room to purchase more movies?

You don't have to move things to the cloud. If you delete the movie, you will be able to download it again for free. You are confusing backing up the iPad to iCloud with storage in iCloud. iCloud is for backups, not for storage like you would use an external drive or a thumb drive for.
You live in Australia, so as long as the movie is still in the iTunes Store, you can safely delete it and download it again for free whenever you want to watch it again.
One of the caveats of the PC free iOS devices is that while it isn't absolutely necessary to have a computer in order to use these devices, you do not get all of the fail safe features without having a computer where you can transfer content to be stored and it won't matter if the movie is pulled from the store in the future. As long as you have a computer running iTunes, you can transfer all of your paid content to the computer and never have to worry about the content being pulled from the stores.
This will show you what you can download again for free in your country,
iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability
You can delete movies by tapping the edit button in the upper right corner of the videos app and the X to delete will appear on the movie icon.

  • Transferring movies from iPad2 to Mac

I am transferring movies purchased fromn iTunes on my iPad2 to my MAC computer using a USB connection. I used the "Transfer from Devices" option under the "File" option in iTunes to make the transfer.  However, each movie is taking more than 12 hours to transfer and sometimes up to 20 hours. This can't be right. Can anyone let me if this is indeed normal or if there is something I am doing wrong or can do to increase the speed of the transfer.
    Many thanks
    Martin

Depending on which iTS you purchased from - go to the iTS main page - From the Quicklinks section - select Purchased - then select Movies. You can re-d/l some movies from the Cloud depending upon the movie/iTS you purchsed through.

  • Buttons in an attached movie from library

I used the tutorial posted at
    http://www.layersmagazine.com/flash-attaching-movieclips-actionscript.html
Now I have a button on my stage that attaches a movie from the
    library.
    on (release) {
    this.holder.attachMovie(“contents”,”contentslinks”,1);
It works fine but I also have buttons inside the attached
movie clip that need to control a movie that is already on the
    stage.
    contentslinks.contents_link_1.onRelease = function() {
    content_mc._visible = false; book_mc.directGotoPage(4);
If I just place the attached movie on the stage the buttons
work but I when I proceed to use attachMovie, they do not work. How
do I get the buttons in the attached movie to address the movie
that is already on the stage?

you can use the enabled property of movieclips to
    enable/disable them.

  • No sound on ATV2 after transferring movie from iPad . . .

We rented a movie from iTunes this evening and started watching it on our iPad.  We decided we wanted to watch it on the larger screen.  I turned on the TV, switched the input to the Apple TV and pressed the icon on the iPad to transfer the movie over.  The screen flickered on the TV, the movie loaded and it started to play... but no sound.  I pressed the icon on the iPad again and the movie transfered back to the iPad w/ sound.  This process was repeated a couple of times, but we never had sound on the big TV.
I did some additional testing after the movie was over.  From the Apple TV menu, previews played fine.  Music played fine.  Another movie I purchased from iTunes plays fine on my MacBook Pro & the iPad, but when I try to stream it on the Apple TV, no sound.  I know this worked before the most recient Apple TV update, which installed today.  I'm guessing something in the copy protection is messed up.
Anyone else seeing this problem or have any ideas?
    Apple TV 2 is running 4.4.3 (3323)
iPad 1 is running iOS 5.0.1

    Rebooting didn't solve the problem.
It appears to be a problem w/ 4.4.3

  • HT1473 transferring movies from computer harddrive to itunes

I am trying to upload some movies from my computer harddrive to itunes with no success, an anyone help me on this?

To get a any content into iTunes you can use the file/add to library menu in iTunes. Have you tried that? Or you can simply drag the folder containing the movie to the 'library' in iTunes. Have you tried that?
"then I clicked on advanced and then import and turn the thing that said ACC encoder to AIFF encoder"
I have no idea why that should've worked since it has nothing to do with importing folders into the iTunes library.
You should change that setting back to AAC again. Believe me when I say that you do not want to start importing cds into iTunes with the AIFF setting which is a raw uncompressed format and will take up about 10 times more storage space that any compressed file. Possibly even more.

  • HT204053 Can't move from MobileMe to iCloud

When I select iCloud in System Preferences, the only option I am given is to move to iCloud. When I select that option, it takes me to a webpage saying mobile me is closed with a link to iCloud.com. When I go there and log in with my MobileMe account, it says your Apple ID must be used to set up iCloud on an iOS or OS X device before you can use iCloud.com. I click on the learn more button and it bring me to the apple webpage about setting up iCloud which brings me full circle to selecting iCloud in System Preferences. Additionally, when I go to the apple ID webpage to manage my account, my .me apple ID is there with all my information still intact. Any suggestions.

After posting this I came up with a possible solution but I am waiting for some additional input before I try this. There is probably a preference file somewhere I can delete and then the iCloud system preference will no longer direct me to move from Mobile Me to iCloud. Then I will get the same screen that is shown on the apple website instructions, which will ask me to log in, or create an Apple ID. Presumably, that will allow me to enter the old Mobile Me information and it will be reactivated as an iCloud account.

  • 'Move from MobileMe to iCloud' link does not seem to work

Trying to migrate to iCloud from new MBP (not mine but I have an account on it which works fine and syncs with my iphone and older macs) running Lion but when I click the link on me.com it simply opens a new window at me.com with the same page and link showing. Clicking this link does the same thing.
The reason for me using the account on my partners MBP is because I do not want to upgrade my old Mac as I still use Rosetta.
Any ideas? Am I being stupid? Has Apple disabled or blocked migration to iCloud?
From a very early Mac user.

Not sure how to do that but when i go into system preferences it brings up the you must move from mobile me  move to icloud screen and then I go through all the steps and get the same result> Hope this is clear

  • Transferring movies from iPod to mac

how do i transfer movies from my ipod T to my mac.

Sync the ipod to the computer and make sure to click on transfer purchases and DO NOT DISCONNECT ANYTIME either by quitting out of itunes or disconnecting the ipod DURING THE SYNC or else you will lose the movies and not have a chance to get the movies back for free. You do have the oppurtunity to purchase the movies again at full price. Hopefully that changes soon but I am not getting my hopes up. Good luck

  • IMovie transferring movies from iphone

How can you import movies shot on the iPhone 4 into iMovie on the ipad2, can I assume you use iTunes to move the movies from one device to another, don't own a mac using iTunes on windows 7 also if you are not near a computer can you move movies across from one device to another by wifi, bluetooth.
    Many thanks

If the file is small enough then you can email them or you have to sync them to your computer in the same way you do a picture and then sync them back to your ipad.

  • How do I move from MobileMe to iCloud on a macbook??

I already went through the "move your mobileme account to iCloud" procedure on my macbook several times but still cannot access the iCloud settings on my mac - each time I open iCloud I am asked to first move my mobileme account iCloud??

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If I recall correctly, I logged out of my MM account on my second installation before logging into iCloud, after which I logged back into MM and it told me mail, calendars etc were disabled because of iCloud, but still allowed me access to my iDisk etc.

  • Transferring movies from Finepix f31fd

Not strictly an iPhoto query but I couldn't find another suitable forum.
My Fuji Finepix f31fd does not appear as a mass storage device on my desktop so, although I can import photos using iPhoto, I don't know how I can copy movies from the camera to my Mac.
(My previous camera was a Finepix f10 which did appear as a USB storage device so I could just drag and drop the movie files.)
The Fuji website isn't much help so I'm trying here!
    Thanks,
    Robin.

    Robin,
You have 2 choices. The first is to open Image Capture (in your Applications folder). It should see your camera and give you the option to "import some." You can then navigate to your video clips and upload them to a folder on your desktop. Once on your desktop, import them into iPhoto and see if it can handle them. Or keep them out of iPhoto and store them in your Movies folder.
The other option is to use a card reader, which connects to your Mac via USB. This will mount on the desktop like your previous camera, and allows you to navigate the card from within iPhoto to select photos and movies to import. I use a card reader all the time, as it saves on the camera's batteries and makes importing easy.
