Transfering Palm TX Calendar & Contact information to Outlook 2007

I have tried to figure out how to transfer data from my Palm to Outlook, but the caution message from Palm about downloading makes me nervous.  It said something to the effect that one should not download the software if you use the Palm calendar.  I'm concerned I'll lose everything, but I have to get it transferred to Outlook.  Any suggestions?

Hello M1ssMo11y and welcome to the Palm forums.
Are you currently synchronizing your Palm TX with Palm Desktop at this point?  Is the calendar in Palm Desktop up to date?  If it is, why not export your data out of Palm Desktop's Calendar application to backup your data.  Then Export your data again as a coma separated values (.csv) file which you can then import into Outlook.

  • Can't sync calendar, contacts, etc. in Outlook 2007

I just got a new computer and I can't figure out how to get it to sync my calendar and contacts to Outlook.  I have my Outlook configured to send and receive my Yahoo mail.  It was working fine until I download the Desktop Manager software.  At that point, I could no longer send or receive email, so I uninstalled it.  Can someone help me figure out how to sync the rest of my applications without killing my email?
    Thanks, Katherine

    Go to Solution.

The following steps will help you to configure synchronization -
Connect your device using Desktop Manager and click on Synchronization
From the menu on the left click Synchronization under Configuration
Again click Synchronization button on the right which will give you option to Select Device Application that you want to synchronize
Put the check mark and you'll get a prompt to Select Desktop Application
Highlight the application name and click next button
Under Synchronization Option you get Direction of Synchronization
Check the radio button with Two way sync
Note: above mentioned steps are explained as per Desltop Manager 4.5
    Example: Synchronize addressbook -
Connect you HH with your desktop Manager in your PC. If you device is set to wireless sync then you need to turn off wireless synchronization. To do so go to Address Book -> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes.
Click on the Synchronize button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address Book (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization radio button and click OK twice go back to Synchronize tab ->click on Synchronize Now.

  • ICloud destroyed my contact groups in Outlook 2007

I have windows 8 and in my Outlook 2007 I created some (coloured) groups of contacts.
A few weeks ago I received from Apple a email, because I own an iPhone 5, that I could get my contacts
synchronized with Outlook. I had to give the version and some steps to implement it.
I also had to create a new iCloud address. I thought it might be useful.
Now weeks later after my vacation I come home and I remember that I have to send a mail to a certain group of my contacts.
I open my Outlook 2007 , emails everything ok, until I open my My Contacts / contacts:= totaly blank!!
Underneath is a box with iCloud / contact in iCloud: I can open there my contacts (I hope they are all there?) arranged alphabetically, but all my groups of contacts are gone! hours and hours of work wasted!
How can I get my contacts in my Outlook 2007 back into the groups classified as I had created them?
Microsoft and Apple do not directly support a suitable solution.
How can I reverse the steps that I did before synchronizing to iCloud ? The contacts (groups!) are not in “deleted items” !
    Please help !

You can get your Contacts back as they were by signing out of iCloud and then restoring your backup (if you have made backups). If not, you can't.

  • Palm Z22 won't Synchronize with Outlook 2007

    Hi folks,
I have just upgraded a customer's server to a new box and I installed his Palm Software onto the box prior to cutting across and running up his Outlook Pst and Archive folders. Note this is not a Microsoft Server setup it just a standard box with a number of folder being shared across a wired network. He now reports that his Palm is not Synchrosing with his Outlook 2007. When I installed the Palm software I did enable the option for Outlook Sync when requested. Does anyone have any ideas on this problem before I venture out onsite?

Hello itronics and welcome to the Palm forums.
You probably need to install the Outlook 2007 update for Palm Desktop 4.x.  This update will not work with Palm Desktop 6.x.
    Hope that helps,

My blackberry tour does not sync my contacts anymore with outlook 2007. I do not get an error message. Help!!

Norton is probably the issue. It can really screw things up, that is one reason I never use it. See if you can temporarily disable it and then try the sync and see if that works.
On a Mac, there is a way to run a program that repairs permissions for the user, not a Windows thing.

    Hello,
How did you back up your contacts in Outlook 2007?
If you exported your contacts into a .pst file, you can refer to this article to import your contacts into Outlook 2013:

If you exported your contacts into a .csv file, please check this:

  • W can I bring over my contact Categories from Outlook 2007 to my iphone 4s?

How can I bring over all of my contact Categories from Outlook 2007 to my 4s iPhone?  All of my contacts have synced, but I have nearly 1500 business contacts and need to be able to filter them down by Categories as I do in Outlook.  Is there a way to do this or an app?  I am coming to the iPhone from a Windows Mobile platform that automatically brought the categories from Outlook to that smartphone.

Sync old iPhone 3G to iTunes on your computer. Then connect new iPhone 4S to computer and Restore from Back-Up of the 3G. This command can be found, on Windows you right mouse click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes, on Mac Option click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes.

  • Palm Treo no longer syncs with Outlook 2007 calendar

Foolishly I upgarded to Office 2010 not realising that my Palm won't sync with Outlook 2010. I reverted back to Office 2007 but now my Treo won't sync with the calendar. All else appears okay. I get the following message:
This handheld is associated with a differentprofile. To synchronize with that profile, close Outlook and synchronize again. To use this device with current Outlook profile, open the Hotsync custom dialogue and change the conduit settings to use this Outlook profile. See the Oultlook conduit help for details.
The conduit settings only allow me to change which over-writes which - computer or Treo. When I chnage to get the computer to over-write (as this is where my up-to-date info is, the same message appears. I going to get an iPhone soon if I can't get help. This is crazy.
    Someone out there help...please.
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Unlocked GSM)

If I understand correctly, then the old Outlook 2003 is no longer available to you. If that's the case, then all of your information should have been taken from your local outlook 2003 and put into the new outlook 2007 exchange. The only way you can sync with exchange is by using EAS. You will need the server address, domain name, and the username/password you use to log into outlook. I expect you may not have some of this information, which is where your IT department will be able to fill in the blanks. You won't need to use the Treo for email, but now that outlook 2003 is gone, that isn't an option for your contacts/calendar/notes anymore. When setting up the EAS on your device, it will ask what you want to sync, and you can select/deselect the options you prefer.
Hope this clarifies things a little bit.

  • CompanionLink sync calendar, contact, notes with Outlook over USB?

For years, I've been wrestling with the choice of what to migrate to from my hobbly 1st generation iPod Touch.  A replacement for my cellphone and the Touch, augmented with a data plan.  I am not a natural fan of the Apple cult design philosophy, nor the cavalier security model of Android.  Furthermore, I have modest no-nonsense requirements in terms of apps -- I need a secure and efficient to organize my info and priorities, not play Mario Brothers over the web with my garage door opener, or some other frivolous distraction.
The advent of Blackberry 10 was a huge relief.  However, I've been reading about the wrinkle with nonwireless 2-way syncing with Outlook, encompassing calendar, contacts, and notes.  The latest rumours I've found online about the ETA is end of 2013, and I'm not sure how much uncertainty there is in that forecast.  Consequently, I decided to explore the option of buying CompanionLink.  I have only found one personal anecdote during my web search, and I'll refrain from describing it here.  To get an idea of the quality of the solutio, it was suggested to me to post on a CompanionLink forum, but that might not be the best way to get a balanced view of the product.  I figure that a Blackberry forum would be more objective.
Can anyone who has jumped into the CompanionLink pool please share their anecdote of how well it works?  Anything that you consider worthwhile, as I may not be able to anticipate all the potentially significant points.
A particular behaviour that I'm hoping won't be in CompanionLink is what I experienced in syncing between Outlook and the iPod Touch via the iTunes app on the PC.  If an item (e.g. a note) changed both on Outlook on the PC and on the device, the user must choose which one is the correct one, and must make this choice on the fly.  If the conflicted item contained a lot of information, it would be hard to make the comparison on the fly.  The correct way to handle this would be to allow the user to choose that both versions of the item kept, effectively yielding two instances of the item.  The user can then use text comparison tools to reconcile the two versions e.g.  vim, diff, Word, etc.  Palm replicated conflicted items, but they've been out of the picture for a long time.
Thanks for any anecdotes on CompanionLink.
Afternote: Oh, and if anyone can point to past examples of a platform vendor changing hands, an the fate of the platforms, thanks for sharing that, too.  It is an overwhelming factor in how I decide to go forward.

I totally agree. It would seem that since they sync all of the other parts of Outlook they would do the same for Notes. In fact if you think about it, they are not backing up the built in Notes so it probably was the last item on the list of todos. Probably in the next release of iTunes.
A work around would be to create a contact for the more important notes and then do a sync. Use Notes for the last name and the subject for the first name. That way they would be close together.

  • Transfer iPhone contacts & calendars to brand new outlook 2007

Someone gave me an iPhone 3GS as a gift, I pressed the reset button and used outlook 2007 & itunes to sync my contacts & calendars.
Everything on my iPhone is fine.
My contacts & calendars in Outlook 2007 were accidentally in wrong orders by importing a backup file in pst format(Outlook Format).
For future synchronization ,I am afraid that my iPhone contacts & calendars will be in wrong orders due to the changes in Outlook 2007.
Can I transfer my iPhone contacts & calendars to a brand new outlook 2007 (without any data & resetting my outlook 2007)?
    If not,any other solutions?
The main reason of this discussion is to make my Outlook contacts & calendars in correct orders and my iPhone contacts & calendars will not be affected.
Hopefully I have a backup .pst file with correct data on my harddisk.
    Hope you guys can help.
    Thank you so much!

The Synchronization dons’ not affect the order of how information’s are displayed between outlook and iPhone IOS. It only affects the content of your contacts and calendars information’s.
However, if you want to synchronize to a brand new outlook (this mean new Mail profile), you should create a new mail profile to use with outlook. Always make a backup of your iPhone and outlook before you modify any settings.
To create a new profile, go to Mail setting in the Control Panel or Execute control mlcfg32.cpl from C:\Programs Files\Microsoft Office\OfficeXX from the Command Prompt to access Mail directly.
From here you can display the main profile which iTunes using to synchronize your information’s (Show Profiles… Button). This one called generally outlook, it is created automatically as you execute your outlook for the first time.
Then you have to create a new one using ADD button, as you finish choose Always use this profile then drop down the menu to select the new created profile.  Apply the new setting and restart your outlook.
Now you suppose to have the new profile of outlook, this let you synchronize your information with nonfactual content.
You can go back to the old profile by choosing it as the default one from Mail setting. Be careful not to synchronize with iTunes when the default profile is set to the old one.
Remark: in the Mail setting “mlcfg32.cpl “ if you choose the following option (Prompt for a profile to be used) then every time when you open outlook it will prompt you to select the profile that you need to work within, the problem that when iTunes want to synchronize your content it can’t select arbitrary on of theses profiles and this will dysfunction, so it is preferred that you select (Always use this profile) option.

  • ITunes8.2 might not sync contacts, calendar and notes with Outlook 2007

My ipod touch has been synching on a Windows XP machine with Outlook 2003 and iTunes 8.2 nicely for a few weeks. Now I need to move to a different computer.
That one had Outlook 2000 this morning. The sync that was intended to move the contacts and calendar information from the ipod touch to this machine failed.
    From http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2051 I learned that I can't use Outlook 2000.
So I actually bought Outlook 2007 and used that.
    Bummer - no luck!
After trying out a few things:
    http://www.zolved.com/synapse/viewcontent/30722/Microsoft_Outlook_Contacts_and_Calendars_are_not_Syncingwit
    did this - doesn't help
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1347
    empty file?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1324
    Unicode!
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692
tried out all four tipps ... no change
    http://nickvt.blogspot.com/2009/01/iphone-outlook-calendar-and.html
    I did a few experiments.
On another PC syncing works another ipod and the same software Outlook 2007 + ITunes 8.2
On another PC syncing works with my ipod and the same software Outlook 2007 + iTunes 8.2
On my PC using another user's windows account syncing does not work with my iPod and the same software Outlook 2.7 and iTunes 8.2
On my PC syncing does work with Windows Address book
On my PC accessing Outlook via COM via software does work with another application.
So again none of the tipps in
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692
    1) Reset Sync history
    2) Disable third party addins
    3) Attempt to sync content in a new Windows user
    4) Reinstall the itunes software
helped. The best I can get is a very long sync session that "feels" as
if the synching went on but in the end there is no result at all.
Copying the outlook.pst file from the machine where things worked and trying
to override the ipod's contact content also failed. It looks like there is
some kind of interfacing problem that does not openly lead to an error message
but still makes sure the whole synching procedure fails. Unfortunately I didn't find any clue on how to setup debugging or logging options to better catch what is going on.
At this point I'm out of options and hoping for help via this forum.

I've had this problem for 3 months! Here are things I've tried which didn't work (my Outlook 2003 calendar still won't sync with my iPhone so my iPhone essentially does not have a working calendar)...but they might work for you:
delete everything off the calendar on your iPhone & check the "override your calendar the next time you sync" button & sync
try setting up a new user on your computer and syncing to that (make sure you've unchecked that "override everything on the iPhone at next sync" button) to see if things will move from the iPhone to the computer

  • How do I upload my contacts, calendar and notes from outlook 2007 to my new iPad with retina display

I just cleaned up my outlook 2007 contact files.
I have an iPhone 5, a new iPad with retina display, and a PC, which is where the outlook program is.
I also have an iCloud account
How do I get the contacts, calendar and notes from outlook to any of these devices, so I can have one synced contact file on all three devices?
I'm sure I am not the first one asking about this but I am new to Apple, and loving it.

With your device connected and iTunes open, navigate to the 'info' tab and scroll down. You'll see the option to sync contacts and such from outlook.

  • Iphone 4s will not sync all contact information with outlook. Street Addresses will not sync.  Is there a fix?

This is the only forum I had access to post, so I apologize if my question is not relative.  Hopefully some kind soul will have an answer for me.

Thanks Randers4. You are right - I neglected to tell all the stuff I've tried. I did as you suggested about resetting the sync history - I even closed and reopened everything, and tried syncing with Outlook open, and then closed. The only change is it did download (sync) one new calendar event I added to my Outlook calendar and it put it on my iphone calendar, but it did NOT put my new iphone calendar items on my Outlook calendar. Not sure what else to try!

  • 8130 Calendar sync problems with Outlook 2007

I have Sprint 8130...and all is okay...until today.  I am used to Active sync (from my old HTC Mogul), not RIM software.  When I sync'd a week ago, the first time, all was great (accept for the confusion I still have about where the inet explorer favorites went).  Today, I plugged in for the second time.  All seemed great, except that now most of my calendar items are no longer in Outlook.  They are still in my Pearl, though.
I have tried to sync the other way, but to no avail.  Ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

So, that did not work, and I ended up on a differnt board where I found the answer....it is a known software glitch with DM since 12/07.  It happens when you have multiple email addresses set up on your phone.  It can work fine for weeks/months, then one day it just happens.  It can happens no matter who your provider is.  RIM still has not fixed the sofware issue (unless the Altel .81 fixed it...).  It results from having 'multiple calendars' and only one syncing back to Outlook.  The only way to fix the issue was the following:
    a) Make certain Outlook is COMPLETELY up to date. Manually enter any calendar items on the BB which have not been synced over to Outlook.
    b) On your BB, look at Calendar > Options > and you will see the different calendars available. Go back to the main calendar page and and press Menu, and you can view the calendars for each email profile. Decide which email profile you want your calendar entries to reside under, and which is your primary email address for this.
    c) Go to Options > Advanced > Service Books. Highlight over AND delete the entries for ALL other email addresses other than your PRIMARY email address.
    d) Go to Options > Advanced > Default Services, and make sure ONLY the one primary email you desire is listed there.
    e) Now, connect your BB to your PC via USB, and open Desktop Manager.
    f) Now, with your Outlook completely updated manually, do this:
    1. Connect your BB via USB to your PC, and Open Desktop Manager on your PC.
    2. Open up Backup/Restore > Advanced.
    3. From Advanced you'll see a split pane screen. You won't see anything in the left pane. In the right pane will be the databases currently on your handheld device.
    4. Highlight on the right side your Address Book database (OR your Calendar database) and click the CLEAR button at the bottom of that screen.
    5. After it's finished, close the Backup/Restore window, and check the device to make sure the address book (or Calendar) has properly cleared out.
    6. Now, re-sync the necessary contact (or Calendar information) from Outlook (or your database) and you should be set to go.
    g) With all that completed, and your calendar appearing in BB... remove the battery on your BB (powered ON) and reboot the BB. This should resend the Service Books for the other email addresses you had deleted earlier. If you find after an hour they are not back, resend the service books from your carrier BIS site.
    h) return to Options > Advanced > Default Services and make sure your primary email is still the default email. You want to leave your primary showing in the screen, and save.
I hope this might help some other people.  THere is talk about all Calendar syncing issues eing related to this issue (except obvious user issues like not syncing all appointments).
    Thanks for you time yesterday.
