Is it an iPhone ? If it is and you don't want to go via your computer and iTunes, then the camera connection kit can connect the iPhone to the iPad and can copy photos to the iPad. Also there are photo transfer apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy photos between iOS devices via your wifi network.
If it's not an iPhone then you probably need to go via your computer and sync them via iTunes, or if there aren't that many photos and your phone supports it you can email them to yourself

If your pics are on your old iphone, then import them from your old iphone to your computer as you would with any digital camera.

smcolvin, happy to help with getting those pictures transferred. As the Samsung Gusto does not have the mass storage functionality, this requires a out of the box solution. You can send the pictures as a picture message and place your email address in the "to" field. Open your email inbox on your computer, open the messages and then download the images to the computer (usually right click and "save as").
Alternatively, you can send the pictures to the online album and access them there. To send to the online album from your phone, press the left soft key. Message>New Message>Picture message. At the "New Picture Msg" screen, press the Right Soft Key and add "To Online Album." Select "Send." On your computer launch your web browser and log into MyVerizon at verizonwireless.com and then go to vzwpix.com .

Today I downloaded a new version of Kies, 3.1.0.15042_6, and it seemed to work fine. I was able to backup my Note 3 running Lollipop with no hesitation. Files transferred to my Mac running Yosemite, OS X 10.10.3, easily. The download is available at http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

I'm trying to send pics from the laptop to the iphone. I read how to get the pics from the phone to the laptop but how do I get pics from the laptop to the iphone?

An easy way to do it is via iTunes and iPhoto. First, create an album in iPhoto called "iPhone". Put the images you want to go onto your iPhone in this album. In iTunes under the Photo tab, check the box next to your iPhone album in order to sync it. The next time you sync your iPhone the images will be transferred over and you can access them via the Photos application.

Date issue while transfering pics from macbook to external drive

I am transferring pictures from my Macbook to an external hard drive and my issue is that the date of the picture (date of creation/modified) is being replaced by the date of the transfer… So let say that all my 2013 pictures have now the date of today – 19th June 2014. I tried to drag the pics as well as to export them but I am getting the same issue. I am doing transfers regularly and it is the first time I encounter this issue. Funnily enough it works when I drag one picture at a time but not for more than 3 pictures – very weird. Your help will be very appreciated !

There are two kinds of metadata involved when you consider jpeg or other image file.
One is the file data. This is what the Finder shows. This tells you nothing about the contents of the file, just the File itself.
The problem with File metadata is that it can easily change as the file is moved from place to place or exported, e-mailed, uploaded etc.
Photographs have also got both Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera snapped the Photograph is recorded in the Exif metadata. Regardless if what the file date says, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.
Photo applications like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc get their date and time from the Exif metadata.
When you export from iPhoto to the Finder new file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The File date is - quite accurately - reported as the date of Export.
However, the Photo Date doesn't change.
The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.
So, your photo has the correct date, and so does the file, but they are different things. To sort on the Photo date you'll need to use a photo app.

First place to check is in the iPhoto library. If the images were imported there then they will be visible in the previews created.
The physical location of image files in iPhoto is quite buried in folders within folders. So, if you want to copy them then select all of the ones needed from the previews and copy from iPhoto to a new location, preferably a new folder in the Pictures folder.
The other app that might have transferred the files is Image Capture. It would download files from cards or cameras. Launch this app and look in the preferences to see the default location of transferred files.

N73 - transferring photos from pc to phone

I can find plenty of info for transferring photos from phone to pc but cannot work out how to transfer a favourite photo to be my wallpaper from my pc to my phone. The Nokia support section said I could drag and drop but this didn't work. I'm sure it's easy but I can't work it out. Any hints?

Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data, which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
In addition, contacts and photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup.

I have plugged in my camera and all the new photos have loaded. In iPhoto there was a button to import all or import new photos and I see those buttons at the top of the screen in Photo, but they are greyed out. How do I import my photos from my camera?? Thank yoU!!

Export the pics from iPhoto to the desktop. Connect the camera. If it's anything except a Canon and some models of Kodak, then it will show up on the desktop. Drag the photos to the disk icon for the camera.
IF it is a Canon, then you'll need to put the card from the camera into a USB Card Reader to get it to show on the Desktop.

Plz help me, transfering data from PC to phone question

Hi there, i really need help in order to transfer files from my PC to my cell, i want to transfer a theme to the phone. Now ill explain my problem.
Firstly, the phone, and the micro sd card in the phone is not recognized by my PC or desk top manager. Thats fine, i've been trying for a long time and searching all over the internet for help, but nothing works. I've tried the battery pulls, new soft ware, etc.
So i've come up with another idea, and basically involves the usage of my previous MOTO phone to connect to the PC, with the micro SD card in, and transfer the files from there. It does work, as the background pictures that were stored on the SD card from the first phone show up on the black berry.
Now i want to connect it to get the BB Bold theme from the Z man, i think it would be awesome and a good change. So basically i want to try to get the files for the BOLD theme onto that SD card and then open them for the blackberry. I have already tried putting the theme in the pictures section of the SD card but the themes dont show up on the blackberry.
If any one knows a way for them to show up, how to find them on the BB, where to transfer them, it would be very appreciated. Now i can't do it over the internet or email because i got the BB from a friend and my cell company wont allow you to get the data plan with it.

I would suggest you address the connection issue with desktop manager and your device first.
You need to be able to backup, upgrade, synchronize your data to keep your Blackberry running properly.

Transfering Pics From Broken Pre

I dropped my Pre in a drink and fried the screen. I now have a new one and am did the backup. It did retrieve all my apps and contacts, however, it did not restore my pictures. The phone works, but i have no way of seeing the screen.
Question is: How can i retrieve all my pictures from the broken phone and either move them to my computer or my new Pre?
