Transfering pictures from iPhone or iPod to my computer?

just recently all my computers crashed! Hardcore! and of course i had nothing backed up, but thank god all my pictures that i had on my computer from like 10 or more years are stored on both my iPod classic and iPhone, I want to get these back on to my computer so I can save them on an external drive I just got, is there anyway to do this? Can anyone help? also, how can i get my music on my ipod and iphone back into itunes? for some reason not even my purchases are on there? Help. Please!!!

Syncing music is one way only, unless you bought the media content in itunes. You can transfer your purchases by right clicking on the phone in your device list and choosing "Transfer purchases". Disable autosync in itunes before you connect your phone. Back up manually the same way. Photos are optimized for viewing and reduced in size and quality. Pictures not taken with your iphone are not part of the backup. To transfer the rest of your media you'll have to use 3rd. party software like http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy or similar for example. This is not supported by Apple.

  • Issues transferring pictures from iPhone 6 to PSE 8

    Hi!
I Have PSE 8 for many years and never had an issue transferring pictures from my cellphone to PSE 8 until I upgraded a month ago to PSE 13. I didn't like this new version so I contacted customer service to cancell the recent upgrade. Then, I went bank to my PSE 8 and I can't transfer pictures from my iPhone to PSE 8. The USB works and I use windows.
    Thanks!

I usually see this error reported when the iPhone connected has not been unlocked prior to being connected. Disconnect the phone from the computer. Unlock the phone with the passcode and make sure it is "awake" when you connect it to the computer. This seems to be a quirk under Windows 8.

  • Transferring pictures from iphone to pc problems.

Has anyone seen these icons when trying to transfer pictures from iPhone to PC?  I have no idea what's going on or how to fix it. I believe these all should be pictures or video.
    Thanks!

Music should never disappear from an iTunes library unless you are having HDD problems. So I would start by resolving that problem.
Was the music all downloaded from iTunes, or does it come from multiple sources? If it is all iTunes you can restore it to your computer by connecting the phone and choosing "Transfer purchases" from the iTunes File menu. If it is from multiple sources then you need an iPhone file browser. I am not familiar with Sharepod, so I don't know if it is the problem or not. I have heard good things about TouchCopy.

  • Transferring games from iphone to iPod

i got a iphone and i am selling it and getting an iPod and i got this one game i am addicted to and i dont want to start the game again from the beginning is there any way i can transfer my game data into my ipod without starting again?

Synch the iPhone with your computer and make sure the app gets into the iTunes library.  Then synch the iPod with that iTunes library.
Apps can't be transferred directly from iOS device to iOS device.

  • Transfering pictures from iphone 3GS to pc

i have a iphone 3GS and i'm going to upgrade to a 4S. when i try to transfer pictures from my camrea roll it stops about half way what can i do to transfer them all? i have 300+ pictures in my camera roll

Have you tried to transfer it in sections.   When you plug in your phone to your PC the autorun should pop up.  Instead of importing the pics can you view the folders, then hightlight a certain amount of pics and then copy it to your My pictures on your PC.
    Just another option to consider.

  • Transferring pictures from iphone

Does anyone know how to transfer pictures from the iphone to a computer. I thought they would sync automatically.
I appreciate your help. Thank you.

If you're talking about photos taken with the iphone, just like you would from any digital camera.
Your computer should recognize iphone as a digital camera. You use whatever photo management program ( iphoto, camera and scanner wizard, photoshop, etc.) to import the pics from iphone, just as with any digital camera.

  • Directly transfering pictures from iPhone (4S) to external hard drive?

    Hi,
I'm looking for a way to directly transfer the pictures from my iPhone to my external hard drive without having to import them on my mac. I'd also like to find a way to delete some pictures off my phone using my mac (again without importing them). iPhoto isn't really doing much for me (could also be the case that I just don't know how to properly use it).
Basically, I'm looking for a way to do this as simple and easy as I would have done using my PC (via files etc).
I'd love to find a quick and easy solution for this as I have used my PC until now but want to swap to only using my Macbook to be more independent/efficient.
    Thanks in advance!

It may be a terminology issue but Apple uses the word "import" for any transfer of photos from the phone to a computer (or to an external drive attached to a computer). http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
You can (I believe -- haven't tried it) import them directly to an external drive attached to a Mac by using Image Capture. Image Capture is in Lauchpad -- probably in the "Other" folder in Lauchpad. Easiest way to start it is via Spotlight Search. It can be set to open automatically when a phone or camera is connected by opening iPhoto and going to menu named iPhoto and opening Preferences.
With the phone connected, the bottom of the Image Capture window allows you to select where you want the photos to be saved.

  • Transfering music from an old ipod to new computer

I have the guide that was provided on the site on how to transfer music from an older iPod that contains the high capacity drive. My only problem is that I dont have the old computer that is synced to this ipod.
basically I found this old ipod of mine from 4 years ago and it has a bunch of my old music on it. My old computer crashed and will no longer turn on so we got rid of it and bought a new one. My wife and I since then have both bought the new iphones and have created a whole new itunes libary. I figured all of these old songs were lost until last night when i found this ipod with all the music still on it. I want to put it on my new computer but when I plug it in and open itunes it say's it will erase my old songs and replace with my new ones.
Can I transfer this music any way onto my new computer?

Either buy a 3rd-party ipod manager program, start your research here on page 3
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/copying-music-from-ipod-to-co mputer/P2/
Or go back to page 1 of the iLounge article and do it the hard way.

  • How do I transfer pictures from my Classic Ipod to my computer

I have pictures on my Classic Ipod that I need to save to my Windows computer (OS 7)  When I hook up to ITunes, there is no option.  Disk is enabled

You must first transfer pictures from your iPad mini to your personal computer, then connect your USB drive to computer, adn drag photos to your USB, but you need to copy photos from iPad to computer, this is the guide: How to copy songs from iPad to computer
or you can also read this solution: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

  • Transferring apps from iPhone to iPod touch

Is it possible to wirelessly transfer apps or files on my iPhone to an iPod touch via WIFI or Bluetooth? I know I can transfer contacts and photos through the "Bump" app.
Can I transfer apps without connecting to a computer?

Apps are DRM protected & tied to the account that was used to purchase them. You can share apps among family members under the EUSLA. Launch itunes on her login, disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected, under preferences, then connect your phone. Sign in to itunes using YOUR ACCOUNT. DO NOT SYNC! Then go up to Store>Authorize this Computer. Then, go up to File>Transfer Purchases(This will put all itunes purchased content from your phone into her itunes library). Sign out of your account, sign in to hers, connect her phone & select the content you want on her phone & sync. All updates to apps purchased under your account will have to be done under your account, e.g-you launch itunes under her login, sign in using your account, update the apps, sign out, sign her back in & then update the apps on her phone.

  • Transfering pictures from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5?

I have an iPhone 4 which I had for almost 2 years. A few months ago it got smashed to peaces and the phone wont even come on. It's broke.
I had my upgrade last month and now have an iPhone 5. They told me in the store that if I backed my pictures up from the iPhone 4 then it should let me restore everything onto my iPhone 5.
I have connected my phone to iTunes and it says I can do a restore from March 2013 - I had my iPhone 4 then and it was working, this was the last time I backed it up. But when I click "restore" it says "Unable to restore"
    Why?!
How can I get all my stuff from my iPhone 4 onto the 5? Help? Thanks!

You should have synced/trasferred/imported everything form your iphone to your computer reguarly.  If you have failed to do this and you cannot restore from backup, then they are gone.

  • Transferring pictures from Iphone/Itunes to PC

    Hi,
Basics it may be but how exactly do I do this please? I need to get all the pics of my iphone before sending it back but looking at Itunes for two hours has got me nowhere near getting this minor task done!
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks
    Dave

    What photos?
Pics taken with the iphone should be imported as you would with any digital camera.
Pics synced from your computer are one way - computer to iphone. Copy them from the old computer to the new one.

  • Transferring music from iPhone to iTunes on new computer

The hard drive on my daughter's new Mac Book Pro failed.  No backup (don't say it). The Apple Store replaced it.  All of her music is on her iPhone 4.  Is there a way to get all the music on her iPhone (including songs not bought on iTunes) into iTunes on the new hard drive on her Mac Book Pro?  Is iTunes Match a possible solution? Thanks for any help.

I found this program "Phone to Mac" http://www.macroplant.com/phonetomac/ which sounds perfect.  Has anyone tried it?

I do not know how you "down load my new ipad ". You purchase an iPad. Maybe this will help:
