If you select your iPod in iTunes under devices on the left panel. Then go to the photos tab. You will see options on how to sync photos.

I have just got an iPad and I want the music to be transferred through my iPod touch using iCloud but I didn't get the music from iTunes so I don't think it will let me do it. Do you have any tips that could help me?

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from a computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing. If you want to remove them all then normally you could just sync an empty folder (in terms of photos) to the iPad, but as you don't want to sync at the moment you can't do that.
You can reset the iPad back to factory settings and start from scratch with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings

I'm trying to get CD onto ipod touch. copied it into ITunes library but when I get to synching 'selected playlists etc' all options are greyed out.  If I try and clink sync in bottom right hand corner it gives me warning msg that everything already on ipod will be deleted and I don't want that.  any ideas?

Head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on your iPod Touch and make sure that restrictions for app installations are turned off.

  • Music is not transferring to old iPod Touch from iTunes.

Music is not transferring to old iPod Touch from iTunes.  iTunes recognizes the iPod.  I've gone to File>Devices>Sync and File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  It shows that it is downloading, but once complete and I go back to check, still not there in either case.
Also, I updated my Windows XP laptop with the new iTunes 11, all the music is there from before and even added a couple more CDs (thought it was all on the laptop).  I turn the laptop off, come back next day, music is all gone and is now found in iCloud.  I didn't want it to be transferred to iCloud, but I must have missed a checked box or something.  Any idea on how to un-iCloud all of that music that should still be on my laptop?  Otherwise, how do I Home Share from iCloud (Windows XP) to iTunes on Windows 7?
As for Home Sharing, it's hit or miss.  I found where you are to hit the Alt button to access Home Sharing on my Windows 7 laptop, it worked 1 time and now I can't find the Home Sharing in the Playlist Section or Music, nothing.  Really?!?!  Come on Apple, can't you do better than that!  I'm getting really frustrated here!  It seems I can only Home Share to my Windows XP laptop, but not vice versa - XP to Windows 7.  Really?!?!
Anyone have any ideas on how I could possibly get this all to work?  Btw, isn't iCloud suppose to automatically download to your iPod anyway?  Well, it doesn't.
    Frustrated!

    Do they play in iTunes?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    - Try unsyncing and resyning

    Hi,
Have you tried using your iPod's Search function to find the movie?  (The Search function is to the left of the home screen.)
    Hope this helps!

  • Transfering pictures from ipod to pc

How can I transfdermy pictures from iPod touch for my pc?

Have a look here: Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
You'll have to use the software you would use for a digital camera, for example the camera wizard or similar programs.

  • Getting pictures off Ipod touch onto computer.

My computer crashed and we lost everything on it. Luckily, I have all my pictures saved to my iPod. Unfortunately though, I can't figure out how to take my pictures from my Ipod and put them onto my computer. If anyone could help I would be so grateful. All of the pictures are of when my son was first born up until now, he is almost two so I am pretty desperate!

you can't, well, there may be third party software available (you might have to pay for it) - try google.
but it isn't possible to do it otherwise. because the ipod touch does not work as a 'disk' like older ipods, you can't extract the data from it as you used to be able to.
you'll be kicking yourself now, and this won't help much - but this is why backing stuff up is so vital. there are many places to store things like photos online these days, or you can invest in an external hard drive, you can get ones with a decent amount of memory on them pretty cheaply now.
    good luck

  • How to delete pictures from ipod touch

just want to know how can i delete photos from my itouch? and also how i can select what photos to be saved from my computer to ipod touch when it started to synchronize all the files.

You manage the photos in iTunes, not on the Touch.
When the Touch is connected to iTunes, you can use the Photos pane (tab) to select which folder is used (by iTunes) for copying photos onto your Touch. If you don't like the default, which is the *My Pictures* folder, change it to the one of your choice. Then add photos and remove them _from that folder_ and the next time you Sync the Touch, those changes will take effect.

  • Urgent advice please on transferring pictures to Ipod

I would like to download my pictures from my pc hard disc to Ipod, in order to delete them afterwards & create more space on my pc.
2 problems in doing this: 1) when I synchronize the picture folders to copy them onto Ipod, I suspect Itunes copies them somewhere again on my C-drive, since my C-drive runs out of storage space. So: where are these files stored so I can delete my previous attempts?
    2) In order to solve the above mentioned problem, I tried transferring files one by one, but the 2nd time I transfer pictures to Ipod, it will delete the pictures downloaded the first time.
Please help me, since my pc is running out of space and Ipod is not helping me to resolve the problem where I bought it for, in fact, it makes my problems worse!
    Thanks very much in advance!

Seems like your hard disk is close to completely full!
    1) To synchronise, iTunes has to optimise and prepare the files it transfers to your iPod and needs some space in your Temp directory while it prepares them, before it transfers them over. You can safely delete your Temp files as long as you have no installs in progress.
    2) What you say makes sense since you cannot manually add a file at a time to your photo library without deleting the old ones.
What I would do is to go to iTunes>Edit>Preferences>Music Tab and enable "Manually manage songs and playlists". Also enable Disk Use by ticking the box next to it.
    Click OK
Then open Windows Explorer through My Computer and you can copy the photos and any files you want to back up to a folder on your iPod disk drive. Check the folder and make sure everything you want is there. Then you can delete the files you do not want stored on your hard drive and create space.
IMPORTANT:: You have thus backed-up the data on your iPod - but if you lose it or it breaks down, you will lose all your precious irrecoverable data, so a good bet is to buy another hard drive, internal or external and ASAP copy the data to that hard drive or onto CDs so that you have a back-up. Also, Pictures or music thus stored as a back up is not seen via the iPod interface - you can only access the data through Windows Explorer (or Mac Finder).
    Good luck!!!

  • ITunes is not responding after transferring files to iPod Touch

I upgraded iTunes to iTunes 8.2.0.23 last week. I have a first generation iPod Touch (8 GB) running v. 2.2.1. Since upgrading iTunes, after copying new files onto my iPod Touch, both iTunes and the Touch indicate "Syncing in progress" for several minutes after the files have been copied. Eventually, the Touch's screen will stop displaying the syncing message and turn itself off but iTunes stays on "Syncing in progress". I am unable to eject the Touch (although I know I don't have to). In fact iTunes is completely locked up. When I go to the Windows Task Manager, it shows that iTunes is not responding. I end the task there and it closes iTunes. This happens every time I add new files to the Touch.
I've read in various discussion pages about similar problems occuring but they all involve Version 3.0 Touch's or iPhones. Perhaps this is something particular with iTunes 8.2.0.23. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The issue was, I store my music on my Windows Home Server and had my iTunes library connected to it over the network. When I transferred my music locally to my computer, the issue stopped. So, I guess the answer is, don't sync your iTunes library from a Windows Home Server.

  • Transferring photos from iPod touch to Mac Pro

I used my iPod touch as a hard-drive while on holidays (transferred pictures from my camera to the iPod). When I got back home, I wanted to transfer the pictures to my desktop but my iPod does not show up on the desktop (this option is selected through the finder). The iPod will show up in iTunes and iPhoto, though it was a third party device I used (zoomit) to transfer the pictures as they were on SD cards.
If I could see my iPod on my desktop, I could transfer them manually but I'm at a lost as to how to get it to show up.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

If you were transferring your pictures directly to your touch, that's a new one to me. Normally when you plug your camera or SD card into your Mac, iPhoto opens and you copy your photos there. Photos are transferred via syncing with iTunes to your touch. If that is what you did, then your photos are in iPhoto waiting for you.
As others have said, your touch is not treated as a disk drive like the iPod classic is. The touch is not going to show up on your desktop, it is only going to be seen by iTunes. If you have an iPod classic, there are several ways to transfer your camera contents to the classic.

  • Transfering movies onto iPod 5th Gen

Most of my movies are downloads and are on my laptop in .AVI format for space saving, my computer plays them OK.
I tried transfering them onto iTunes window but it didn't recognise AVI files so I converted them to MPEG2 then converted them onto iPod it plays sound but no picture so I converted the AVI again to MPEG1 then converted onto iPod this time iPod plays picture but no sound. Anybody got any suggestions??

If a movie plays audio but no video you need to change the video setting.
On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and either set it to "off" or "ask".
Also, make sure you are accessing the video through the videos menu. If you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you also won't be able to see the video.
If there's video but no audio it's usually because Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
See this for help: Guide to converting video for iPod (Mac/Windows).

  • Getting rid of downloaded Safari pictures on iPod touch

so I wanted to test this new feature with the touch 2.0 software where you can Save Image from Safari. It allows you to click an image in Safari and when you choose Save Image it ends up on your iPod touch. At the next sync, your iPod will appear as a camera in iPhoto with the option of downloading the image. iTunes will also give you the message that your iPod has content that can be transfered to your computer (and if you choose don't transfer it will be removed from the iPod). Well I can't get rid of the image on the iPod. It won't let me delete it from iPhoto, iTunes or the iPod. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
    Thanks

Hey Michel, I believe in the menu in the saved picture folder on the iPod, there should be a little trash can icon. If you press that, that should solve your problem. Hope that works!
