Transfering with Zen Vis

Hi !!
Got a frustrating problem here .
I cant put video files on my flash card to tranfer on my Zen Vision . Mp3 and pictures are ok but not the video .
I use the program that came with the Zen player to convert the files but it still doesent work .
I can upload the videos from my pc to the player but if i put some video files on the flash card via my pc , the player does not reconize them . Weird cause i can see the files transfering but nothing is in the player .
A bit of help would be nice

Yahoo Music problems with Zen Vis

After working fine, suddenly I can't transfer Yahoo subscription tracks, I keep getting 'licensing error' - and the fixes from within Yahoo Music don't work. They (Yahoo Music) hasn't been able to figure out what's wrong, so now I'm wondering if it's a problem with my player. Does anybody know any way to tell if it's my player or Yahoo that's causing the problem? Or any other way to fix this? Thanks.

ok, i found it out, and then it stands that i can take the plugin out, but the music would not show up on the zen micro?!

Is Zen Microphoto 8GB compatible with Windows Vis

Hello,
My Zen microphoto was working fine until yesterday. I got a firmware error msg so I downloaded the latest firmware for microphoto (.3.0) and uploaded it using my bf's laptop (he's still got XP and media player 0). It uploaded successfully, but I'm still getting that error msg. Am I missing something?
I may have a defecti've unit and I have a warranty on it that allows me to replace it for another one, but I'm just like to know if this is a compatibility issue vs. a bum player issue before I do so.

Strange problem with Zen Style 300

I got a Zen Style 300 for my birthday and it is given me some problems. I tried looking at this forum and on google, but so far haven't found anything like it. What happens is that during the sync process, some folders on my portable harddisk (which is where the music is located) get renamed into names with strange symbols and become unreadable. The strange thing is that it doesn't happen with all files and just as strange is that it does happen with files not related to the sync that are located in a completely different folder. You can imagine I got quite scared the first time, afraid of having lost my music collection, but on restart everything was fine again. Until I plugged in the ZEN again that is.
My second problem is probably related to it. Part of the files transfered to the player don't show up when I try to listen to them with the player. When I check they have been copied to the player correctly, yet somehow they don't show up.
I have Windows XP and tried syncing with the standard Creative software, MediaMonkey and iTunes but they all face the same problem. Although with the second problem it might happen that files copied one way don't show up, while the same files transfered with a different program do. All 3 cause the problem with my harddisk. I tried formatting the player and updating it. So anyone has any idea what might cause this?

I have a similar problem. It recognized and paired with a Sony Ericsson MW600 Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset once. I lost connection, could no longer connect, and tried to re-pair it. Now it recognizes the the headset's name (MW600), but when you try to pair with it stays on a "Please wait..." message. It will stay that way forever until I press the back (left) arrow. Then the message says "Remote Device not responding" and pairing fails. This MW600 headset pairs with other devices (cell phone, PC) just fine, though, so it's not malfunctioning.
I suspect this might be a Bluetooth version compatibility issue? I say that because when I connect to a Jawbone Era (pretty new device, probably latest Bluetooth spec), everything goes fine.
Also, if I clear all devices, then try to pair to just the Sony Ericsson MW600, I can get the M300 in a state where it hangs and will not respond to anything. I then have to press the reset button using a paperclip to start over.

Status byte times out with KS3988 VIs

I am writing a VI that operates GPIB devices that are being controlled by the Kinetic Systems 3988 CAMAC Crate controller. I have been using the KS3988 VIs that are supplied with LabView 5.1. I have found one problem that persists throughout all of my VIs. They will ALL time out on the VISA Read VI if the status byte is enabled. However, if I change the number of bytes for the VISA Read to expect the applications no longer time out and even return a complete status byte. However, with a different byte count my applications return a warning that the byte count is the same as when it entered--I'm not sure what this means, but it's far better than any time out.
I am now attempting to do block transfers and acco
rding to the manual it is best for the status byte to be activated when doing these kinds of transfers. Again, the status byte results in a time out.
Here is the time out error in its entirety:
"Error -1073807339 occurred at VISA Read in KS3988 Status Register Read.vi->Untitled.vi."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

think it only means that there could be more bytes to read. I got a similiar
problem with a Visa application, but i knew that the sent data was exactly
nine byte long. So there was no point waiting for data that won´t come and
therefore I could ignore the warning.

Random Problems with Zen Micro? Try a diff. USB cable

I know people have mentioned this in other posts, but I thought I would reiterate it here. Many people seem to be complaining that their player is not recognized, or only sometimes recognized, or recognized by Windows (as a USB device) but not by their Creative software, or songs won't transfer, etc. Well, I had some similar problems which ALL went away when I started using a different USB cable - the one that shipped with the Micro just doesn't seem to work consistently.
So, if you are having problems with your player that you can't seem to solve any other way, you may want to try a different USB cable. It worked for me.

I tried a different USB cable also, I thought that it would help, but I still got the same problems. I can almost guarantee that although you think you may have solved your issues, they WILL come back.
I've also been experiencing the "Player Not Connected" problem with my Zen Micro.
I've also had the problem where the Zen Micro just freezes in the "Docked" screen even after it has been disconnected from the PC
I've noticed that these are common problems with Zen Micros with the new firmware (.0.03)
My old Zen Micro with the old, original firmware did NOT have this connectivity problem
Creative should investigate these issues associated with this new firmware, or maybe even making the old firmware available for download to see if this really is the source of all these problems.

If you follow, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) then you will get the 'none' option - I tried it earlier today on both my computer's iTunes and iPhone and I got 'none' for new accounts on both. If you don't use those instructions then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used in the store.

If you want to try using the same email address on a new account then you will need to replace it on that one first e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or http://appleid.apple.com

Trouble with ZEN MX

Trouble with ZEN MXWHi,
I have some issues with my zen mx,? primarily sometimes when I listen to a playlist containing many tracks or "all tracks", my player sometimes shuts of and then have to scan the disk pefore working.
Secondly there are small pauses during playback, maybe every third track or more, I'm only talking about something like a thenth of a second but it's still very annoying. This also occurs when I have many tracks in my playlist.
Thirdly I'm not able to access the recovery mode, I've tried following the instructions from the sticky-thread in the forums (Turn on player and hold in the reset butto). However when I do, the screen goes black and no recovery mode appears ever if I hold down the button for a long time.
Anyone knows how th fix theses issues?

Can read TEDS in MAX but not with DAQmx VIs

Hi,
I have a cdaq 9181 with a 9234 accelerometer module. I have 3 teds equipped accelerometers connected to ai0, ai1, and ai2 repectively. In MAX, when I reserve the chassis I can read all three teds, no errors. When I do the same thing in labview (ie reserve the chassis, create a daqmx task, associate teds data with each physical channel, all with daqmx VIs) I can only read two out of three teds. The third one throws a "no teds sensor detected" error. This code has been in use for about four months now, though I just rewrote the calling VIs, and hasn't displayed this problem. I've attached a snippet of the task building VI for reference.
Any ideas what's going on?

Nope. That's a delete from array, length 1, index 3.
In any case, I eliminated that block since the string array wired to the for loop controls how many devices the VI attempts to configure. Same result, verified it was trying to configure ai2. Here's the updated snippet:

I actually found under EDIT then Catalog settings / then metadata that the automatic write changes to XMP had been unchecked. Once I check this, it updated and connected all the keywords to the pictures. Now when I copy and paste the keywords show up as I can now detect them in Adobe bridge when before I couldn't see them even though they were in lightroom. . Thanks for your input.

Problem with ZEN Style M300

When I trying to found bluetooth audio devices with ZEN Style M300,? the player get to freeze after a little bit time that is searching devices, and so I have to push the reset button for using again the player. :mansurprised:Anyone have the same problem?

HT3702 Problem with my visa card

Dear adviser,
I already have several purchase with my visa card. However, in the last purchase, there is not enough money in my card due to it is debit card. But i do not know why the purchase is still successful. Therefore, after this purchase, apple store does not accept my visa card althought i have charge money to it. By this letter, i would like to find the solution for this issue. Pls support my situation asap.

Problems With Zen Touch Turn

After just recently purchasing a Zen Touch in December 2005, I already have problems with it.
I have never dropped it or hit it. I plugged it in to re-charge one day after using it and when it was done charging I turned it on, used it for 5 minutes then set it down. The next morning I went to turn it on to use it, and it wouldn't turn on. The blue light at the side on the power button was on, but the screen just wouldn't show up. Now the blue light won't turn off. I have read about these problems with Zen Micro freezing up and read about Zen Touch freezing up back in 2004 when it was released. I have phoned the number but couldn't seem to get through. Should I consider taking it in? Or is there an easier way?

Have you tried resetting it's Connect to the mains adapter and press the tiny recessed button on the side of the player. Don't use anything sharp to press it, a bent paper clip is best.

LV 2009 Source Distribution with Broken VIs

It looks like LV 2009 has made another "improvement" to an edge case that has caught us off-guard. This is admittedly not a huge issue for us to deal with, but I thought it might be worth getting some more feedback and seeing if anyone else has comments as to whether this change is for the better or not.
   We have a plug-in architecture in which we compile a main program, then use a Source Distribution to create directories of plug-in modules that the main program calls dynamically. We can send out updated or new plug-ins this way without having to recompile or redistribute the main program.
   For each module, I have a "List" VI, similar to a driver "Tree" VI in NI drivers. It contains all the top-level VIs that that module uses. Many are called dynamically, so by loading this List VI into memory, you can be sure that all parts of the module are in memory. It also simplifies the build script, since if you include the List in the Source Distribution, it automatically includes all the top-level and dynamically called VIs you need in the distribution.
   The List VI is not executable. I add a broken wire on purpose, since this VI is not meant to be run. In addition, if any of the VI's on the diagram have "Required" inputs, that breaks the List VI.
    In LV 8.6 and before, we could build a source distribution with this broken VI. In LV 2009, the source distribution build fails with a message about not being able to save a file. If we "fix" the List VI, it works.
   So it appears that in LV 2009, NI "fixed" the source distribution to only work with executable VIs. It's not too hard for us to accomodate this, by fixing our List VIs. But I wonder if there aren't other edge cases where this "fix" is not such ideal behavior. Might you not want to be able to make a source distribution of source code that isn't finished and hence isn't executable?
   (Oh - another subtlety that may be relevant - we remove the diagram as a security measure. Maybe you can't remove the diagram from a broken VI? Though it did seem to work in 8.6...)

Sorry - false alarm. The difference did turn out to be that I had checked "Remove Diagram" for the broken VI, not just for the good VIs. You apparently can't remove the diagram from a broken VI since it can't compile it. In our 8.6 distributions, we didn't check that box for the broken VI. In 2009, I was checking that box for all VIs.
