I have transferrer my self using WD Smart ware and a separate win 7 backed up to a WD 2T external ( win 7 backup is now struggling to back up but I do have one copy)
when new HD was put in, and repair disk put in it wouldn't pick up the back up off the WD 2 T. WIN 7 or my manual backup.
So I loaded up a win 7 32bit (off an older computer which is now parts) but it wouldn't reconis Win 7 back up on the WD 2 T.
Using WD smart ware. I did transferrer all the files over to the new HD but could only make an put it in a new folder. Not reload back to the same as it was before I had to transferrer every thing.
I am know stuck with win 7 32bit can't use all 6G memory an no Hp info on comp .+ no ordinal programs or settings install

G4 MDD to Mac Mini (intel) Via Fire wire (G4 in Transferr mode)

Hey All, I have a weird problem.
I am trying to Transferr all my info from a G4 MDD to an intel mac mini.
My problem is when I try to boot my G4 into Transferr mode (holding the "T" down when it is booting).
The G4 just shuts down. I have no other problems with this mac.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking into it. I don't think so though.
I am pretty sure that I have not set a password as this article suggests. And there is no mention of a computer just shutting off from holding the "t" key down.
I am going to be looking into it more out of curiosity than anything else. I was in a pinch, and moved my files manually across the network.

Just updated to i0s 5 on my ipad2. Some of the apps that use to be on the ipad are nolonger there. If i go into itunes on my desktop compter they appear there. How do I get them to transferr to my i pad 2?

IOS5 upgrade wipes your iPad disk. When you re-sync to your computer, you should get all of the apps that are checked under the Apps page in iTunes.

Yes i've tried all of that. I've turned it all the way on and off and erased all of my music and put it back on and nothing works. And with the breaking up CDs and putting into compilation categories i have already fixed all of that stuff. It's fine it just doesn't show up in the list of artists. I can find the album in the songs category and the albums category it's just it doesn't show tha name of the artist. All of the other albums that i downloaded before i updated my itunes to th most recent update are fine. It's just the two that i downloaded afterwards. Thanks for trying though.

You don't. When the trial expires just enter the serial number from your purchased version and carry on as normal.

Software transferrable to new MBP?

I have an early 2008 MBP with Parallels/Windows 8 and a lot of software on the Mac side. Is this software, both the Mac and Windows 8 (no programs operating in windows, just the OS) transferrable to a new MBP if I decide to buy a new one? Thanks all..

Transferral of ownership of accompanying Apple software

My apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but I've been searching for over an hour and I still can't find a recent answer to this.
I bought a mid-2012 MacBook Pro from a friend of mine a while ago. I believe rather than wipe the thing and start again, he just removed his user account, and created one for me. This seemed like quite a good thing at the time because it had a few pieces of reasonably valuable software on it that he no longer had any use for, that I would (he no longer has any Apple products on which to use them).
However, over time I started to notice that because some of this software was installed under his Apple ID, I couldn't update them with updates from the App store. I ended up deleting much of the offending software because of this. One of the packages I first noticed this on was iPhoto, then iMovie, then some of the other software I thought was 'bundled' with the Mac.
Having read through various posts on this subject, it seems there used to be a site whereby you could register your Apple products (http://register.apple.com), just as long as the previous owner had removed their product registration. This site has been decommissioned, and Apple do not appear to adequately explain the transferral of ownership process.
This gets me to my main question - Is it still possible to transfer ownership of the iLife software which is bundled with a new Macbook Pro, and if so how does one go about it?
I can confirm that if I click on iPhoto or iMovie in the App Store, Apple wants to charge me £10.49 for each. I haven't checked the others, but I'd assume they are the same. I already purchased GarageBand for my old MacBook on the App Store, and I've already installed it, if that makes any difference.

That is to remove all trace of the original owners information on the system. The Online Internet recovery system will reinstall the original version of OS X that came on it when it was new. You need to do that. I Mid 2012 model could of come from the factory with either Lion or Mountain Lion. If it now has Mountain Lion installed and it originally came with Lion then Mountain Lion is TIED to the original owners Apple ID. If it originally came with Mountain Lion then that is what will be reinstalled and all trace of his name and Apple ID will be removed

Adobe programs don't do well with migration. You should uninstall them, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3), and reinstall from the original installers, but you also need to be aware that many older programs are not supported on newer versions of OSX so this may not go smoothly.

Hi,
When u create a object and save it, it will ask for the package name to save, then assign one package and then it will ask for the request .
Create the new request. and this request can be released before transporting.
Go to se09 or se10 and then select ur request number and click the release button. then object will be released and is ready to transport to quality.
After that goto <b>STMS</b> and then transport it to qwuality server.
However it will be the work of the basis guy to transport to quality after u have released...

Are LabView licenses for Windows transferrable to Mac OS X?

I can't seem to find any information on this subject on the National Instruments or in a search on this forum, so hopefully someone can answer these questions.
My lab has 3 licenses for the use of LabView 8.5 in our lab, although the instructions that I've been given to install LabView involve downloading the trial software from National Instruments' website, and then using the activation code to activate the software. Trouble is, the trial software is for Windows only, and I was hoping to be able to run LabView on the Mac in our lab.
Are the licenses for LabView transferrable across platforms, or does my lab need to specifically purchase a version of LabView for the Mac? If the licenses *are* transferrable, how do I request a CD for the Mac installers if we've already purchased LabView for Windows? Furthermore, if I'm able to use these licenses on a Mac, is it possible to install the Windows version on my Mac on my Boot Camp partition, and install the Mac version on my Mac OS X partition and only use up one license? I'm not sure if all of our hardware has drivers that will run under Mac OS X on an Intel Mac, and I don't want to be penalized for this by having to use up two licenses on the same machine.
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated.

The LabVIEW licenses are not transferrable directly, since LabVIEW for Windows and LabVIEW for Mac are entirely different products and have different installers.

Yes, you can use your iPhone apps on the iPad except for those that use features that don't exist in the iPad.

Some will, some won't. Without knowing the specific apps you have, it's impossible for anyone to say for sure. The worst case will be that you put the app on the iPad and it doesn't work well or look good in which case you just remove it and inquire of the developer whether they have or plan an iPad version.
