Transferring a Muse website to another domain.

I have built an Adobe Muse website for a client.  I am now ready to move the Muse website to her previous domain.  I am unclear how to go about sending her the muse file to upload to her own website domain where she will take over the future changes to the one I created.  Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello Sanjit,
Thank you for your reply.  My developer seems to be averting the issue for reasons I do not know?   My Web Hosting Company assures me that my website www.traceyarmstrongart.com <http://www.traceyarmstrongart.com>  is pointing to my server, however, my developer assures me that it is pointing to his server???

  • Can't upgrading my Muse Website

    Hi everyone,
I made my website with Adobe Muse.
I bought my domain name to a Register and i linked this domain name with the DNS Business Catalyst, and that WORKS !
    www.wazzabi.fr
Currently, my hosting plan is WEBBASICS, but i want to upgrade it in to a WEBMARKETTING Plan.
The problem is that I have no UPGRADE button in my dashboard (ADMIN CONSOLE).
The support sent me a link :
    http://www.businesscatalyst.com/Admin/Index.aspx?to=PartnerPortal
But i have the same problem, NO UPGRADE BUTTON in the "CLIENT" page.
I can only upgrade my website if i create a new website with a ANOTHER domain name.....But i want the domain name www.wazzabi.fr that i published with my adobe muse site.
    Could you help me please?
PS :Sorry for my english (i'm french)

Please refer to a similar thread here.

In short, redeemed webBasics sites cannot be upgraded at this time. So simply create a new site through your Partner portal <http://www.businesscatalyst.com/Admin/Index.aspx?to=PartnerPortal> (while being logged in with the same Adobe ID with which you have published your current site) and select a plan you like such as webMarketing. Now push your site through Muse to this newly created webMarketing site. You will find the URL for your new BC site under the "Publish To" dropdown within Publish options in Muse.
Once your Muse site is published to a new BC site under webMarketing plan, login to your current webBasics site admin <http://wazzabi.businesscatalyst.com/Admin>, go to Site Settings -> Site Domains and Delete the domain and all associated DNS records off it completely.
At last, login to the BC admin of your webMarketing site and add the domain - http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/change-domain-name-site.html#main_Step_3___Add_the_dom ain_name_to_your_site

  • How can multiple users from different locations access my Muse website files to update them?

We're a team, and we need to be able to work together remotely.
How can I let another user (on the East Coast - I'm on the West coast) have access to my Muse website files so that they can work on them and make changes - but I can also work on them here?
I've already made them an Admin in the Manage section of the live Muse website that is hosted on Business Catalyst.
BTW, they also belong to Creative Cloud.
    Thanks!

You need to share your .muse file with this other person.
Muse does not currently support multiple users opening the same .muse file at the same time.
There's lots of options for sharing a file - you could copy it up to a company network server, or email the file back and forth, or use a filesharing service like Dropbox, SendThisFile, Adobe SendNow, or Creative cloud sync, among others.
Which one is right for you depends on the size of your file, how often you're sending the file back and forth, and personal preferences
Whatever you choose, it's important that you DO NOT have 2 users working on the same .muse file at the same time. This can cause corruption of your .muse file. I'd also recommend frequent backups of your .muse file, as you might find that one of you clobbers a change made by the other and you want to be able to go back to your old copy of your .muse file to copy/paste some content to your latest copy of your .muse file.

  • How can I edit my website from another computer? and how can I create a new website next to the one, I have already? Can anyone help, please?

How can I edit my website from another computer? and how can I create a new website next to the one, I already have? Can anyone help, please?

Move the domain.sites file from one computer to the other.
The file is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.  Move this file to the same location on the other computer and double click and iWeb will open it.  Remember, it is your User Library that you want and not your System Library, as you will not find iWeb there.
Just create a new site on the same domain file and it will appear below the other site.  If you want them side by side then duplicate your domain file and have one site per a domain file and they can then be side by side.

  • Forwarding to Another Domain

My local Admin have blocked my website but i have another
domain, i would like to know how to forward people to my new domain
from my old one, just so they don't need to type the complicated
    name in!
So the web page doesn't even load but it redirects people to
my other domain. Thanks in advance

    >My local Admin have blocked my website
Why? And what do you mean with "blocked"?

The correct way would be to use an HTTP redirect. On Apache
    servers all
it needs is a Redirect or RedirectPermanent directive in an
    .htaccess
file (see the Apache manual for details), I don't know about
    IIS. But
are you still allowed to do such things, if the site is
    "blocked"?

  • I want to host my Muse website on Dreamhost.  When I publish it, what do I put in the "Host Directory" field?

I want to host my Muse website on Dreamhost.  When I publish it, what do I put in the "Host Directory" field?

    Hi,
I'm no expert in this but I think you:
    1) first have to buy your domain.
    2) Go to the > manage domain section > under the Web Hosting section Add hosting.
    3) Once this is all done you should be able to access your site with an FTP client.
    4) Once you are in your directory you should see the folder with your domain name.
    5) Drop your published MUSE site into the folder. You should be able to now type your
URL into a browser and see your site posted online.
If this isn't clear... I would suggest going onto dreamhost and doing a chat session with them
they are really patient and helpful!
    Hope this helps a little.

  • Muse forms hosted on BC and embedded in Muse website hosted on third party host

Just wondering if there are any plans for Muse forms to be hosted on BC and able to embed on Muse website that is on a third party host? If this is already possible... how?  I know of another company that allows for forms (using their separate web form program) to be hosted through them and embedded in their web design software that can host a site elsewhere... just wasn't sure if Muse was able to do this too.   Thanks, I appreciate any help.

    Hi Davz,
You can use the Muse forms on a third party host. But if you create a form in BC and embed it in Muse, you can't use it on a third party host. It can be used on BC only.

  • Transfer iWeb website to another account on MacBook.

I'd like to transfer my iWeb website to another account on my MacBook. Is this Possible?

Yes.  Copy or move the Domain.sites2 file that is located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the same folder in the other user account on your Mac.  The other user account will have to be logged in to the same MobileMe account as your are.

  • How can i send cookie to another domain

A good place to ask advice about web development is at the mozillaZine "Web Development/Standards Evangelism" forum.
The helpers at that forum are more knowledgeable about web development issues.
You need to register at the mozillaZine forum site to be able to post in that forum.

  • Integrate WP blog into Muse website

    Hi,
I am about to design my own page, but would like to integrate my existing Wordpress Blog into a Muse site. Since both designs are very different, I would like to design in Muse and include the WP blog with very simple design into a Muse site. In the beginnings of HTML, you were able to include other sites (remember those ugly scroll bars).
is there any smart way to include this blog into an existing Muse website - pretty much have a header/footer/nav bar surronding the blog.
Thanks for your help and also examples,
    Markus

I don't think this is going to be very helpful.
I have been researching this.  I like most Muse users am not a coder,
I love Muse in that it allows me to create what I am thinking about without mucking around in any code
But here is the problem....Muse creates an HTML site whereas Wordpress sites are PHP sites
I think the only way you could do it it properly is to either install wordpress onto a sub folder on your site named whatever you want your blog to be called and find a similar wordpress theme to your site then add a Photoshop button to link to that blog
or....and this is the one I am going to play with and if I can get it to work I will post my step by step instructions....because no one that I can find has tried to give a detailed how to on this process.
1.Create your site with Muse with a page for your blog in the site tree
    2.Export to HTML
    3. Open the Blog page with dreamweaver or another web coding program
    4. change it to a PHP
    5. add the code needed to make Wordpress work on this page
    6. publish your site
I will admit I am really fuzzy on 5 at this point but I am working on it.
You will still need to upload Wordpress to your site
Can anyone at least tell me if this will work.

It will then come up with 'Muse is downloading now'. It will then take me back to the Muse app again with the same 'install now' message. The new version has not installed, could some one please let me know the reason why it isn't installing.

Hi Jeff I have uninstalled Muse from my applications and have tried to download the new version but it displays a message 'file not found'. I have included a screenshot.
