Transferring a photo from Mail to Photo on an iPad

Can I email a photo to my iPad Mail account and then transfer the photo to an album on my iPad Photo page?

Yes. When you open the email on the iPad, tap and hold down on the image and you will get the option to Save Image. Select that and the photo will be saved to the Camera Roll in the Photos app.

  • Transferring Free Books from Library on MacBook Pro to iPad?

I am trying to transfer a free book that I downloaded at the library from my Macbook Pro to my iPad with no luck. Is it possible and if so, how do I make it work?
    Thanks!

Yes, if you downloaded it in itunes on the computer rather than straight into the iPad, it should transfer over the next time you sync, unless you turned off the option to automatically always sync new apps.
To transfer media from your computer there's a transfer button In the app. Note that not all content works in the app, though. EDIT or it may have a drop zone now. Our library had such a paltry selection of stuff that I removed the app. Here's a link to the instructions, but they may be out of date:

  • Transfering emailed pictures from Mail to IPhoto

How to I transfer emailed photos from my Mail email program to IPhoto??

Which iLife/iPhoto version do you have?
Tiger Mail includes an Add to iPhoto save option via the Save selection next to Attachments below the message header along with a Slideshow selection to view all photos attached to a message in Slideshow format which isn't available with Jaguar or Panther Mail. I believe this also requires iLife 06 to work in conjunction with Tiger Mail.
Since your OS detail provided indicates you are running 10.3.8, you need to save the photos from the message to the location of choice on the hard drive and then import the photos into iPhoto.

  • How may I transfere PDF files from my MacBook Pro to my IPAD

How may I transfer PDF files from my MacBook Pro to my IPAD

There are a number of methods, including via synch to iTunes on a computer and emailing them to yourself.
I prefer using DropBox, which allows me to store them in the cloud and download only when needed, and send them to the app I choose (plus I do not synch my iPad to itunes). I typically use GoodReader or Adobe Reader, but any app that can read PDFs is typically available in the menu. You would need to install DropBox on the Mac as well as download the app on the iPad. Both are free.

No - not at the present time anyway.

  • Clear recents from mail

I have two iphones - one for work and one for home.  Both have different accounts and I never use my personal iPhone for business.  Somehow when I type emails my work contacts are appearing in the top of the list with next to them stating they were a recent contact.
As you can undersatdn I do not want to accidently mail colleagues from my personal phone by selecting one of these by mistake but it appears I can only remove indicvidual entries.
    a)  Is there any way I can remove all the recenets on my phone
    b)  As I have two separate iCloud accounts where could the colleagues have come from?  Another app?

  • Can't save photos from Mail to Camera Roll

How do I save a photo from Mail to my camera roll? Before iOS7 I would tap on the photo and get the option save it. Now all i get is a copy or select all option.

Found the answer to my question. Now you have to press down on the photo until the save option appears.

  • IPAD2 since yesterday seems to have stopped allowing transfers of photos from anything other than another Apple product and comes up with the message2 itunes will no longer sync photos....which are not transferred from a Mac? Looks as if there is a prob

IPAD2 since yesterday seems to have stopped transfers of photos from non Mac equipment. I use dell with ITunes cloud facility.
Any ideas or are we to await Mac correcting the software?

Okay, can someone please give a useful answer? Thanks! I have been experiencing exactly the same problem for some time now, and it is very annoying. Furthermore, I would like to point out to Chris CA that there is absolutely nothing ambiguous about the original post.
So here is the deal. I used to be able to burn CDs with iTunes that played back fine on both my car and home stereo. After some update, and I am very sorry but I really do not remember which one, as I am just a user and not a programmer and just want something that works, which in the end Apple used to be all about, and therefore do not keep track of all the updates, CDs won't play back on my car stereo. Nothing else changed, still the same brand of CDs (even the same stack!), still the same car stereo, and still the same 2007 MBP. So by simple deduction I conclude it must be a software update. And I do not care what the exact cause is, I just want a fix!
I'd like to apologize for my tone in the above, but it is just a very annoying problem, even more so because it seems nothing is being done about it. Thanks for your answer in advance!

  • Problems importing photos from iphoto from mail

I am experiencing problem since last week, from Mail if I want to save a photo to iPhoto using the drop down option at save attachments, nothing happens.  If I chose to simply save it, thats fine, and I can save a pic from Facebook to iPhoto no problem, but cannot seem to do this anymore from Mail. 10.8.2.  All current updates.  Any ideas?

    sanjampet
Thanks but that's why I'm posting here because it does not post direct from Mail anymore.  When you carry out the instructions from Mail
Click Save in the message header and choose “Add to iPhoto.”
It does not add to iPhoto.  Whereas it used to before the upgrade...

  • Cant find photo from Mail in iPhoto

From Mail, I selected Save. The photo went into Downloads.
I went to iPhoto but how do I get the photo into iPhoto. Does it appear by default or do I have to do something from Download folder?

IF you saved the photo to the Downloads folder, you now need to add the pic to iPhoto. Drag it to the iPhoto Window, or to the Dock Icon or use the File -> Import command.
On the other hand, if you click and hold on the Save button in the Message window you'll get an option to Save to iPhoto.

  • Photos saved from Mail to iPhoto won't display

I recently converted my niece from a PC to an new 14 inch iBook. She has 10.4.2 and all the latest software updates. When she clicks on the "Save" button in Mail her photos do not appear in iPhoto. After proving to myself this was really happening, I found the missing photos. They are being saved at the root level in the iPhoto folder-not in the respective photo folders. I suspect that this is the problem but I don't know why or how to fix it. I tried saving photos from Mail on a couple of other Macs at my house and the feature seems to work fine.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hi Joseph, the feature works fine for me too.
the only info I could find was this.
"Add to iPhoto" button in Mail and keyword search in spotlight don't work
If she does have the latest iPhoto, then all I can suggest is to use Disk Utility to repair permissions. If that doesn't work, then just have her drag the images in the email to the desktop, then import them into iPhoto from there.

  • When I save photo from mail to iPhoto - are there two copies?

I am trying to avoid filling my hard drive unnecessarily and so I am trying to find out, if I save photos to iphoto from mail, should I then delete the email ? so I dont have two copies of the photo wasting space on my hard drive? Sorry if this is too basic a question

If your concerned about space then yes, I woudl recommend doing that.
